  • In this video i look at a rare clip of Kurt from February 1994 where he states hill will play Lollapalooza. (A claim that was refuted by many after) But this video proves he said he would play it atleast. I give my own thoughts and commentary on the subject in this video and explain the details around this somewhat controversial subject, possibly bringing light to an old story.

Poor kurt. The entertainment industry machine chewed him up and spat him out. If he had a loving caring partner he'd still be here.

I remember when Nirvana toured Australia in 1992. My brother wanted to buy a cassette from some band, I can't remember who, and as we were about to walk into the legendary Waterfront Records in Sydney CBD, out walked this really tall guy, this other fella that was jumping around and this smaller, quiet guy. My brother turned to me and asked "Do you know who that is?" I replied no, and he said "That's that Nirvana band we're hearing about." I didn't think too much of it at the time, but after I heard Nirvana I took up drums.

From what I remember, Nirvana were dropped from playing Lollapalooza 94 just days before Kurt’s body was discovered,

Kurt was at darkest point of his life (before his death) so a 3 month festival tour would of been a awful idea the man needed serious help. And time off sadly he got neither

Was Kurt really against doing it? Or did everyone just say he was after he was gone as some sort of...other thing to point towards..whatever end? I don't think he needed to lie to the Buzzcocks to show off. Charles Cross is also Courtney's lap dog and fed him information for the book, but that's another issue. Anyway that footage was great and special to see, good work on the audio my friend.

If he were alive today, we'd probably have acoustic albums and paintings and maybe the odd Nirvana reunion.

The music industry are so heartless and greedy. It wasn't Kurts fault he got ill and couldn't finish the tour!!! How nasty to threaten to sue them !!! How I wish that Kurt had just walked away!!!

Beastie boys claimed in an interview that they were scheduled to lalapalooza with nirvana as a fact, not a rumor. They were fans and looking forward to it. They didn’t say this until years later, in an interview.

It always pains me to see Kurt in 94. Clearly he wasn’t in a good place.

Kurt Cobain’s music is something you could never replace. Nirvana made Grunge popular and also caused the downfall. R.I.P. Cobain

I miss Kurt . . . Nirvana rocked hard! When they played Territorial Pissings instead of Lithium on Jonathan Ross' talk show then quickly destroyed their gear & then abruptly left it was so funny because it wasn't the sort of thing you would normally see. Still gives me chills when I watch it back now & I sometines imagine like I'm seeing it for the very first time. F****ng epic!

Big differance between wanting to do something, and doing it because you HAD to do it

I saw sonic youth in early 2000s and I was sort of trapped in the front row and asked Kim Gordon for water after their set. She went and grabbed a fresh bottle and said “there you go😊”. So, yes. She is a good person heheh

I think he felt trapped and treated like a golden cow to people around him, including his wife.

This is the last close up video we have of Kurt (not concert footage).

Clearly Kurt had major swings in mood(we all do to a certain extent) and he agreed verbally to play it at that point but like the book states nothing in writing was official.

Saw the 1994 Lolla and all of them (until it got bad). It was a rite of passage for me at that time. Wasn't a big Nirvana fan at the time but was excited to see them. It still kicked ass...Beasties, L7, etc. But Nirvana would've made that year something special.
