I did this too, for my washer fluid motor, fuse 40, no fuse before worked, now it works again with a fuse in slot 40? WTF is wrong with this car's wiring?
Hey my washer fluid motor stop working too. And my car doesnt have that fuse but it used to work before. I own a passat 2013 v6. It did workd again when you put the fuse??
@@rosecityrowerey my washer fluid motor stop working too. And my car doesnt have that fuse but it used to work before. I own a passat 2013 v6. It did workd again when you put the fuse??
Two questions: 1. where is the fuse for the windshield wiper motor? 2. Is there a reason the fuse in #42 is a solid green instead of a clear green color? Thanks
Hi, I have a ‘10 Passat 90k miles. Fuse 28 recently shorted/ blew and the ignition was totally unresponsive to key. What is fuse 28, and wpany experiences with this happening. Thanks
No. I have a 2012 and it has this panel but if you search online it shows different panels. Mine is the 5 cylinder 2.6L engine. I think when checking this is for a 2011 even though my car is 2012. VW is really messed up with their electrical. Car batter cables black is positive and brown is negative.
Info on the actual FUSE location is WRONG. Even VW couldn't tell me which fuse was what. The diagram you showed is not for this vehicle. If you know which of these fuses are for the low beams, I would REALLY APPRECIATE it. I have checked every fuse in the car and cannot find it. Not sure if it even exists or if headlights are controlled by a module. Not willing to spend $175 an hour for dealership to put in a fuse or relay.
This may help some of the Americans that look at this video. This is for the CC and B7 Passat. This will not apply to the North American B7 NMS or A32 A33 Passats sold in 2012 and beyond
Hey were you able to figure it out? I have the same problem. My left lowbeam is not turning on. Bulb is fine. I disconnected the whole headlight and connected it to the right headlight harness, and it worked fine, so I don't have a headlight issue either. What I have tried to pin down as the issue is that there is no voltage going to my low beam. The high beam, DRL and signals work just fine, just the low beam doesn't turn on. I also bought a new headlight switch, but that still did not fix it. I have a B7, 2012 Passat.
@@Flavor88did u figure it out ? 2013 Passat with the same issue and no fuse maps anywhere. I assume something melted on my left side. Since it sees the most sun
@gabe4433 yes. It's a BCM issue when it detects an error. Mine was done because my DRL light went busted, and it triggered the computer. I was not able to fix it with a system scan (try it first with a blue driver or OBDII scanner, clear all codes). What I did is I wired my left headlight low beam with a cable from the right headlight. If I recall correctly is pin no.6. After I did that, they system recognized it as "functioning," and it started to provide electricity to the left low beam. I put everything as it was after that.
What about where's the right rear brake light/blinker fuse, under hood, or to left of steering wheel on end panel of dashboard once drivers doors opened. Ugh
@redline150productions4 no I ended up having to get a whole new motor. It was I believe 130 for the part itself but I believe the fuse was towards the bottom. It is the most difficult thing ever trying to find a diagram that is easy to understand for this damn car.
Interesting, in the diagram the #3 slot should have a 10A fuse, but in the car in the video there is actually a 7.5A fuse. Checked my car (2013 2.5L) and it’s the same, there’s a 7.5A fuse in the #3 slot not a 10A fuse. Anyone know the reason for the discrepancy?
Front headlight right hand drive. I have a RHD passat and this fuse is empty. However one of the headlight leveling does not work. I see the fuse in the diagram for both headlight control. Just wondering why i dont have fuse 8 even having UK version of passat ;-/

1:18 why the 12V socket shows a 30A fuse (green)? Shouldn't it be 15A per the map?
Wondering the same thing. Did you find anything out?
Mine was 30A green..
Does this apply for every passat?
Also, The airbag shows an alarm could this be because of the fuse?
