NorthWind you make me laugh dude, I don't know how you can elaborate on something so irrelevant, it's not even funny, the time you loose replying to a random comment... I made that as a joke, I guess you just couldn't catch it, maybe you should try to catch a few soaps in the shower, might be more of your taste you idiot.
It's a nice review, just wanna tell that CD player is a must for me, or any true music enthusiast out there. The quality of sound is no radio or USB player can compare
One of the reason why this car came up again is because here in Germany it is one of the best sellers in the small SUV segment. It does stand right in the middle: good driving (not best driving of course) good running costs, good amount of ´luxury touch´, good speed, fair looks... maybe this is why I see it everywhere. Greetings.
K_Q_ J_H nah i dont think so, the Q5 based on what matt said is the best in its class, but still it's interesting to know how the XC60 which is 8 years old held up in this group
It's a nice little ute, needs an updated though. I'm glad it still has a CD player, who doesn't love the sounds from a CD? Beats digital music hands down.
Mat is bang on, when he says the 1.4 petrol front wheel drive is best. In this most basic form, you can get this discounted (CarWow) for £25K and it acts as a great alternative to a premium hatchback. The 1.4 comes as standard with 150 PS and the car is surprisingly light.
Nice review Mat,as always, but I want to add another negative point to your 5s, The Steering Wheel angle and Dash position are very high even at the lowest adjusted point, for ex on this clip, Steering wheel covers half you your face from side view. Steering wheel feels like a cargo van.
When you sit in it it feels like a raised hatch-back not much space atall, but the most annoying bit is the headroom which for tall people obscures the view out front from any seat in the car and it's cramped in the back...Nor does it offer much luggage space but it's fairly well built cabin with nice materials like any other Audi. On the move it's planted and safe but not what you call sporty just like Matt said. Someone in my close family owns one btw if you are wondering where I get my information from. If it was my money I would look at the new BMW X1 or Mazda CX-5 if I was looking for a small SUV even if the Mazda is less posh inside it's just as much car for a lot less money. We looked at the older gen X1 (but that was also not great on space, the new one has adressed most of the issues the first gen had) when swapping out the old family car for a new car and I've been in the CX-5 a couple of times. EDIT: I wasn't even aware there was a new CX-5 and also a new Volvo XC40 coming out before I wrote this, makes it a no-brainer imho. All of which is more spacious inside and in the back and now that Mazda has updated the interior this car is looking more and more outdated. Space though is the key word here because this car feels tiny inside. Until Audi release a new and bigger Q3 I dont think it deserves to be "shortlisted" like Matt suggests unless you are looking to buy used, I really doubt they sell a lot of these new nowadays. Sorry if my English is off in some places, i'm Scandinavian.. :)
I like the size and shape of the Q3, but I don't like the price and the placement of the lights at the rear. The made all the lights on the trunk, so if you open it, there are no lights
I also have an Audi Q2. For me the road noise and the noise of the tires is terrible. Much too loud for such an expensive car. On the highway it's becoming even more louder. I bought Michelin silent tires, but the Q2 stays very noisy inside. It's really irritating and tiring me. We also have a Polo which is much more silent.
Finally....thanks a lot for doing the review!!! I ended up getting one.. out of the 3 (q3, x1 & gla) this one felt brilliant... nice and roomy inside .. and the light steering is awesome. The 1.4 turbo petrol is simply brilliant! Also...mine does have a 12v socket in the boot ;)
Many people still listen to CDs, new CD sales are still extremely high globally and so are second hand CD sales! I still buy CDs because they are better and cheaper than mp3s: you can get a CD for £2-£3 instead of £0.99 per track and then you can rip your 10-20 tracks in 2 minutes on any computer at the quality you prefer including higher quality than what you can download. Hence CD users should have the option to get a CD should they want to.
I actually really like the X1, it's so much bigger than all it's competitors in the segment. But it's half a Mini half a BMW, so the reliability is probably quite poor. Sigh
Each of the actors play the character "Q" in the James Bond movies and there is 3 of them so Q3. Left to right Ben Whishaw, Desmond Llewelyn and John Cleese.

I know it won't mean much, but could you add a rating out of 10 of the car at the end of the video.
He did. He gave it 8/10. Did you miss the end?
1:32 that was satisfying AF
I don't care about the car , I only watch because of Mat
I think you have to type "no homo" when writing such sentences.
yea of course no homo , luckily i'm not into that.
Mo Lo Luckily?
Yea man, writing luckily is dangerous in 2017, worse than shit talking the church in the 15th century

oddly the thing I dislike about my sportage is it doesn't have a CD player. I'd rather have one than not.
It's a nice review, just wanna tell that CD player is a must for me, or any true music enthusiast out there. The quality of sound is no radio or USB player can compare
The easter egg in this video was the image of the 3 Qs from the James Bond movies. Q x 3 = Q3.... See what I did there. Mat.
carwow Please return the car in pristine condition for once.
rabola55 y? what happens all the other times?
TechTips pretty sure it's a James bond style quip..
Harry Brookman ohhh it all makes sense now. Why didn't I think of that before? 😃😃
So is you that thinks the easter eggs up Mat? or is it the crew or director?
Qstn : am i gonna buy this car?
Me : heck no
Qstn : why are you watching this?
Me : Mat's in the video !!
Matt, please do a review of the new A5 Sportback Vs the new BMW 4 series grandcoupé

i like how the folded seats turn it into a launchpad aimed @ the drivers heaid? pretty cool feature! 😎
Nice! Much more useful description of how the car handles... These reviews are getting better and better!
Mat i bought this car 2years ago , ur video with car buyer convinced me , i think its lovely and good value for money

Not true- some do listen to CD's! I like the idea that it's still there....
Me too
Matt please review the XC60 it was the best selling mid size luxury SUV in Europe in 2015
Julian J No. The Q5 is the best selling mid size SUV
K_Q_ J_H New Q5?
K_Q_ J_H nah i dont think so, the Q5 based on what matt said is the best in its class, but still it's interesting to know how the XC60 which is 8 years old held up in this group
New XC60 in 2018. I think he will wait for that one
It's a nice little ute, needs an updated though. I'm glad it still has a CD player, who doesn't love the sounds from a CD? Beats digital music hands down.
This was worth watching purely for this bit 6:32 .. Matt's a legend!
Does anybody ever put a large bottle of water in their door pocket?
We do it all the time.
carwow - I know! nobody else does though!
Yes, when doing long trips
I like a 2 liter fit for my Cider.
I don't
They should have replaced the old q3 with the interior design of q2. No need to make a q2 at all. İts very small.
I'll wait for a Q3 on the new MQB platform.
will be great cant wait to trade mine in for it

I Listen to CDs all the time and can't understand why they no longer fit them to most cars?
When you sit in it it feels like a raised hatch-back not much space atall, but the most annoying bit is the headroom which for tall people obscures the view out front from any seat in the car and it's cramped in the back...Nor does it offer much luggage space but it's fairly well built cabin with nice materials like any other Audi. Funny how Matt couldn't find the 12vlot socket in the boot..it does have one..
Matt m' man, really appreciate your wee performance on the accordion aye😎 Absolutely magic!! Love the channel, you and your team do a great job!!
I've always wanted to play the accordion.. 100% going to buy one now
Love the videos Matt. When are you testing the all new 2017 Kia Rio?
I like the size and shape of the Q3, but
I don't like the price and the placement of the lights at the rear.
The made all the lights on the trunk, so if you open it, there are no lights
Wow, I didn't even know there are Q3s without a rear armrest and 12V in the boot :o
Matt, I'm dying to see a head to head between Mercedes CLS and Audi A7. I've requested many times.
You really don't want to have a faulty Audi Q3 key, it took us *4 months* to get a replacement key shipped under warranty via the Audi service center.
I got an s line Audi Q3

Mat, the accordion playing LED eyed X-Men!
you got a new editor? some ropey editing in this one?
It's nice and inoffensive, but is it worth 8k quid more than a Qashqai or a Sportage? I don't think so.
You're a bloody knucklehead Mat 😂 - that parcel shelf gag lol
I listen to CDs Matt.
2017 q3 is already revised
What's the obsession with fitting water bottles everywhere? I haven't needed the side pocket almost ever, do people really use them that often?
Whoah! Old generation interior and display on a 2017 Q3?! How can Audi not update Q3?
6:31 'You can play the parcel shelf an accordion' Ahahahahahaha!
Out of the current models, what's the best well equipped hatchback for less than 25000?

Please, when are you reviewing the Alfa Giulia...???
New tiguan vs Q3? Whats your pick and why?
Rear lights in the boot lid is weird.
It's a good looking car, like the colour, but it's just too old now to be competitive.
Matt please review the 2017 Mazda 3 with the 2.0 165ps petrol engine!
I want to know about drive select in details and what is the best mode to use??
Many people still listen to CDs, new CD sales are still extremely high globally and so are second hand CD sales! I thought setting a backseat in the front isn't allowed!
Is That kind of tail light dynamic turning signal only in UK? Because my car is the exactly same year and trim as the video but mine doesn't have it
Tried the 1.4 150 petrol 2 wheel. No grip when accelerating

Sandro Curseri Agree with you, made for over paid Footballers and their W.A.Gs.
I'm Your Huckleberry What footballer has an Audi Q3? 😂
No one uses cds anymore. I buy an album everytime my favourites come out.
Alexander Barr speak for yourself. There are people in the comments who say they still do, even 3 years later.
I actually really like the X1, it's so much bigger than all it's competitors in the segment. But it's half a Mini half a BMW, so the reliability is probably quite poor. Sigh

I have driven many cars and not once have any of my tyres roared, but I have got tiger feet, those tiger feet yeah.
Audi are shocking for the optional extras.
BMW, Mercedes and VW = hold my beer
What does the easter egg mean?
Each of the actors play the character "Q" in the James Bond movies and there is 3 of them so Q3. Left to right Ben Whishaw, Desmond Llewelyn and John Cleese.
That's quite smart! It's a shame the video editor didn't notice that the easter egg portion of the video got cut out.
