Spot on with your assessment of this club on behalf of many average golfers out there, once again a real choice of differing types of clubs. Looking forward to more testing of this product in the higher lofts .great review thanks for your efforts.
Definitely getting this as being a high handicap hacker I need to use a fairway off the deck for long par 4/5 so anything that is easy to pick up especially with that leading edge is a bonus. Cheers TAG always love your channel.
This club is amazing, I got mine with a regular shaft evenflo riptide and it was the best decision I ever made on a club purchase, you can buy them on callaway preowned like new for under $150
I bought one nearly brand new off of Callaway preowned and used it for an entire 18 holes and never used a driver, I hit 13 fairways teeing off with it and only missed one but it was still in play… consistently around 240 dead straight, great out of the fairway as well, hit some of the best shots in my life with this club… if you have a good swing this thing is border line cheating how straight it is
Hi, another great video thanks. What degree club were u using on the MAX here? also did u try all 3 degree options, with any preference/recommendation for a mid/high handicapper which once seemed best in your opinion? Cheers 👍
Good review Andy - I find Calloway hit the mark (every now and again - for me anyhow). Rogue did it for me - maybe this would too (except I’ve recently changed !)
Titleist 917 F2 16.5 degree which I currently play is a real crackerjack ,but I would consider this mavrik or the TS2 which is as good, would you agree?
The burnt orange is awful but it ends there. Calloway is offering some real deal custom shaft upgrades for free. Makes it easy to order straight from Calloway really. Mavrik Max 3 or Max Strong 3?
I hit 5 and 7 Woods well. 3 Wood is always a challenge even with the Ping. I am curious about how this Max 3 Wood might play for me and I will try it Andy. I would love to have a workable 3 Wood in the bag and add an 11 Wood as well. I will let you know what I think as soon as the current crisis of Covid -19 abates so I can go out and try these clubs. As always I really enjoy your reviews and delivery. It will aways be a dream of mine to tee it up with you one day. Peace and blessings from Ct. East Coast United States. Spider Dubiel
I like an 11 Wood. I had one in the Rogue series and it played well. I am thinking that one in the Maverick Max series might even play better. You might be surprised how well one would play for you Neil. Spider Dubiel
I think it's likely that people change their 3 wood less than any other club in the bag. People who can utilize it properly probably dont need it and those who need it probably shouldn't use it... especially from the fairway
I have enjoyed your reviews of the new Callaway products, but most of the other reviews I have just deleted (apart from the TXG and BigAl reviews). Basically, I Don't like the colour and the name is daft, but I have never found a Fairwaymetal that I can successfully play off the deck so I may have to give this MAX a smack, probably as a 4Wood.
Hello Bandit. Spider here. I did have some success with the Ping G 410 # 3 Wood off the deck but not enough for me. I hit the 5 and 7 Woods extremely well. I am also wondering if this Max but be a viable answer in a 3 or 4 Wood as well. Great minds think a lot alike . As soon as this Covid 19 crap fades away I am going to go try one . I want to try them in an 11 Wood as well. I have to agree with you though. Not liking the color scheme of these at all. However , if they play well I will put up with it lol. Best regards, Spider.
@@FenwayJoe7129 Hey Spider, how are you doing? I hope that you are well. Since I made my comment about the colour I must admit that when you see them for real the orange doesn't look too bad. The orange has a pearlescent effect that looks quite classy when you get close up and at address you can't see it at all, though I still think that Mavrik is a daft name. If I'm spared (after this scary time) I hope to give them a try to see if a 4, 5, 7 Wood would fit into my Bag. I have always struggled to find a Fairway Metal that I can hit off the deck and I'm hoping that the Mavrik Max might be the one to make it into the Bag. Nice to hear from you again, please let me know how you get on when you try them. I'm usually commenting on Liam's and the TXG YT sites
@@banditbaker1675 Yes, as soon as this horrible Virus threat leaves the area I will go test them and get back to you on it. Please let me know when you test them as well and what your opinion is as well. I have the Ping G410 S.F.T. in the # 5 & # 7 Woods and they work great for me. I tried them in the # 3 but results were pretty mixed. Not consistent enough to put it in the bag. Ideally I am hoping that the Maverick Max might be good in a # 3 or perhaps # 4 if available. Thinking of getting it in a # 11 too lol. Stay well my friend. Peace. Spider
@@FenwayJoe7129 Will do, at the moment I have an old Adams 3Wood (which is purely for show, I rarely actually use the damn thing). I then have a19 & 22deg hybrid, so I definitely have a big distance gap at the top of my bag. Sorry I meant to say Andy's channel (for some daft reason I get their names mixed up, must be my age)! Take care my Friend and stay Safe & Healthy
@@banditbaker1675 I just checked and it doesn't look like Callaway sells a # 4 Wood in the Maverick Max . Looks like the choice is either a # 3 or # 5 Wood. I have been reading the # 5 s are creating quite a stir in these reviews. They are doing very well. Its going to be interesting trying these out. Peace my friend. Spider

I’ve been like that with the 5 wood, just ordered the 3+
How does the Heavenwood compare to the Calloway 9 or 11 woods for easier fairway hitting
Just checked and the standard includes a 4W (16.5 degrees), perfect for me
Looking forward to review of the standard model!
I always enjoy your reviews, thanks for sharing the info.
Are you playing a cut? Looks abit out to in on the downswing?
Club looks great, and performs well.
Great review Andy, what you think is the difference in carry distance and total yards between this 3 max vs 3 standard . Thanks
Good info Andy. I'm in the market to get fitted for a new set. Soup to nuts and I'm relying on your reviews to send me in the right direction.

All nicely explained, forgot to tell us what loft You were using!!
Good video, would appreciate a comment as to how these clubs operate with slower swing speeds.
I think that one got you excited Andy.

I am very interested in trying the 3 wood max this spring.
It’s awesome! Do it
What do you think easiest to hit from the fairway for a higher handicap - mavrik max or sim max? Would appreciate your opinion thanks :)
Can you compare with the Taylormade SIM Max woods

What song is that in the intro? My wife started jamming to it when I had it on tv. Thanks

Thats a real nice thing to say Joseph, stay well and take care
Fantastic contribution as usual!! Is it the best 3 wood you've ever tried?
From what I heard from everyone yes
Turn down the music, it's too loud when transitioning from your quieter voice
In the end my Ping G 410 SFT 3 Wood is much easier to hit then the Callaway Mavrik 3 Wood.
Good choice of music 👍
Looking forward to the review of Mavrik Pro Irons . Ps not that keen on the music change but great reviews all the same 👍
Is the Max draw biased ?
yes it is
11 wood. I can't even comprehend what that would even look like!!

About the same loft as a 6 hybrid
What is the music track, singer?
I believe the music is newest album from Of Monsters and Men.
We are into silly season again with the manufactures telling us this years product is better than last year all good viewing .

The whole range looks so cheap, and the name 😳
Ugly. No orange for me.
