Honestly, this movie is so underrated, it deserves more attention!
Honestly if the New Mutants movie released a couples years ago managed to learn at least 10% from this, they might really got a chance to successful kickstart a new era for the X-men franchise.

kim da-mi's performance in this has always stood out.
chemistry could not be squandered. her and choi woo-shik are also the leads in the k-drama Our Beloved Summer (available on Netflix) that was released a couple years after this film's release. wildly different tone.
what's crazy is that this was kim dami's first major role and she got it in an open casting (whose ad she saw in the newspaper lol) against thousands of other competitors. just an insanely talented person
The two main actors indeed have great chemistry , I am sure people have told you already but they're also main characters of a romance Kdrama called "our beloved summer", it's really great, you should give it a try 😊😊
Other people have noted that these two were together in Our Beloved Summer but you also might notice that Woo Shik was a lead character in Parasite as well. This movie is stacked with talented actors.

You know the chemistry is out of this world when a pair can portray two super powered psychopath's trying to kill each other but also do a full blown romcom " my beloved summer" as a couple hopelessly in love

Now I really want to recommend you to watch "Our Beloved Summer" just to see Summer's reaction to the title 😂 but their chemistry in this drama is so bubbly!

And 2 years later they both were the cutest main couple in one of the best rom-com kdrama called "Our beloved summer" with roles so vastly different and sweeter than this. 10/10 reccommend. it was the best drama that came out that year(2021)

어째 무겁고 어두운 장면에서도
웃음이 끊이질 않오~.
종종 디테일을 놓치는 부분이 보여
두 사람의 케미를 좋아하면서도
살짝 아쉬운 감이 있는데,
미남미녀가 즐겁게 웃는 모습이 예뻐서
뭐라 하기도 그렇고 ㅎ
특히 남자분이 흐름을 분간못하고 수시로 쓸데없는 말들로 맥을 끊는경우가 많네요.
웃는것도 어색한게 자주보이고 남자분은 엄청 방송에 신경쓰고 있는게 보이네요.
아직은 자연스러운게 좋은 방송을 만든단걸 깨닫지 못하신듯.

The young guy is the main actor in Parasite and also the jock from Train to Busan. He’s originally from Canada - so he has perfect English. He left Canada to become an actor in SK.
The young bad guy is one who also played one of main characters in movie Parasite. He grew up in Canada so he is bilingual. Hope this explains his switching between two languages with ease.
The villain who speaks English was in the movie 'Train to Busan' and 'Parasite'.

BTW, this project was made with 3 parts in mind, but The Witch Part 3 hasn't been made yet, so don't go to Part 2 expecting it to be the end. The story was made more on a "Lord of The Rings style" (the movies), but it took a long time for Part 2 to be released. For now, the latest news said that Part 3 might be released next year, but I won't hold my breath on it, since the production has not even started yet and nothing has been really confirmed by the film's crew. We have only a bunch of speculations, kinda like we did between Parts 1 and 2, before Part 2 was really official.
This movie was the prequel of "Akira"...spiritually.

It is a long-standing tradition in Korea.
It is a combination created during poor times when there was not a variety of food.
When riding a train, there is even a sense of obligation to eat like the two girls in the movie.
In fact, boiled eggs and a carbonated drink called cider are sold on the train.
Didn't read through all the comments, so I don't know if someone answered this already. The scene on the train when he swings to hit her, he stopped himself. He was trying to see if she would react to save herself, proving who she was. She didn't react and he stopped himself, causing him to doubt that she remembered who she was.
The guy with the define cheekbones is the North Korean spy in Moving and the Gangster Lord in My Way. While the guy you kept calling kid is not a kid and he is an amazing actor. He was in Parasite. And yes, I agree Summer, they have too much chemistry, that they star in a Romance K-drama together. Our Beloved Summer is amazing kdrama. You should watch.

I love slow burns. I didn’t find the beginning slow. It’s glimpses of her facial expressions in certain scenes that made me think she never forgot anything & that she was playing the part. The actress did a great job.

That Supporting Actor is Choi Woo Shik, he won best actor in the movie "Parasite". Dami the actress is also a great actress. They look good together.
Witch 2 is also good. There powers are greater. I heard there will be Witch part 3 were Dami comes back and the new supporting is Lee Jung suk one of the best actor in Korea as of now.

I'm sorry. I can not English well.The young actor's name is Woo-sik Choi .He starred in the Academy Award-winning film "Parasite" And he acted in "Train to Busan".
If you allow me, I would like to recommend two great Korean action films for future reactions:
Deliver us from Evil (2020): a South Korean hitman decides to retire from the world of crime, after one last job assassinating a powerful mafia boss in Japan. But after retiring he discovers that the woman he loved (whom he hasn't seen in years) has just been murdered in Thailand, and what's worse is that he and she had a daughter, a little girl, and now their daughter was kidnapped and is in danger. He travels to Thailand to rescue her, but in addition to facing the local mafia, he will also have to do so with the brother of the mafia boss who he killed and who wants revenge on him. A very intense and explosive story.
Ashfall (2019) - A massive hidden volcano has erupted and threatens to destroy the entire Korean Peninsula, already causing apocalyptic damage to both North and South Korea. The South Korean government sends an Army unit with the mission of stealing a North Korean nuclear weapon and detonating it at a strategic point inside the volcano to stop the next eruption that will destroy the two countries. The team will have the help of a North Korean agent rescued from prison, but will have to face North Korean, American and Chinese forces.

I guarantee you that they really are two great films, very exciting from the beginning to the end, with an explosive rhythm, especially in the case of Deliver us from Evil, in which the actor who played the lead of Squid Game works, and who in this film plays the brother of the murdered mafia boss, who pursues the protagonist for revenge. And in the other film, Ashfall, great South Korean stars work, including the actor who played Front Man (the guy who wore the mask) in Squid Game, with a very interesting character. As I say, both films are very good, quite exciting. I hope you react to them.

Yes they have different powers and strengths hers are unmatched, and because they were children they were unable to control them hence the beginning scene...😂😂 She said bulletproof glass! The first part def is hard to watch but it’s understandable cause then the payoff wouldn’t be the same. They would have revealed the extent of their powers. They probably wanted that shock factor. Some of yall could see it coming so maybe the shock wasn’t as good of a payoff. I thought she lost her memories forreal 😂

I'm enjoying watching Syntell and the beautiful Summer reacting to Part 1. And can see from your replies to the other comments that you'll be watching Part 2. It hasn't been available for me to view here in it's entirety yet. I've only seen clips of the big fight scenes so far. Yes, Mr Choi actor played the North Korean leader in Moving. And played another baddie in My Name which is another really good kdrama I hope you get around to watching. It has another really strong female character that you and Summer would enjoy watching.
11:10 The reaction is fun! It is natural to eat eggs on trains in Korea. And it's an old snack. I don't eat much these days, but it's still a familiar snack. Eggs were a precious food in Korea 50 years ago. So it was a snack that I ate on a special day, a day when I went far by train. Since then, the perception of eating eggs on the train has been maintained for a long time. A lot of that perception is disappearing now.
And I want to say one more thing.
The scene of the main character eating a full mouth of eggs was a popular clip video in Korea at the time.
She became a popular actress after this movie.
