Greetings Tony and Cecilia from Cadiz. You are right Cadiz is the most beautiful place in Spain and now our favourite place. Absolutely beautiful. We are staying at the Parador de Cadiz and highly recommend it. We love your videos. Thanks again. Linda and Andrew from Canada.
Dear Linda and Andrew, you can't imagine how happy we feel after reading your words, you know Cádiz is a passion of ours and welcoming new people to the club is always a pleasure!
Thank you for the excellent quality video. The highlight effect on the towers popped their skyline. As always great explanation on history and architecture.
Tony es el video más completo que he visto de Cádiz, la proxima vez no te olvides de visitar La Santa Cueva y La Cueva del Pajaro Azul y por supuesto sus playas.
Thanks Tony! Going to Spain and Portugal next week. Will be in Cadiz before heading back to Portugal. Your videos about Seville, Cordoba, Granada, Malaga and Cadiz are very informative. We watched a lot of videos about Spain, yours are way better.. Excellent job!
Muchas Gracias for this amazing video , we are from England 🏴 and after watching this beautiful video we have decided to visit Cadiz September 2024 for 9 nights and then spend a couple of nights in Jerez de la frontera ❤❤❤
A great video and very informative, we will be in Cádiz for three days in the beginning of July and have made a note of places to eat that you have suggested, thank you.
Tony - your videos were incredibly helpful on our six day trip to Andalusia (+ a day in Madrid) that we took last week. We watched many of them as we prepared for our trip, and revisited them as we explored and travelled through this beautiful region! Thank you so much for this - we had a wonderful trip, with many thanks to you! And Cadiz is beautiful 💛🤍🤎
Hola Tony ! 😊 This sure is another fantastic video . For first time visitors to the lovely City of Cadiz, this video is very comprehensive as far as directions and sites of importance!!! 👍 👍 👍 Great food delicacies choices and recommendations!!! 👌 Thanks for sharing another wonderful video !! 👍 😊
@@ROADTRIPSpainandPortugal Lately I’ve been busy with work, but I always make it a point to watch your videos. It’s so informative and I really enjoy watching it. It relaxes me. 👍 I also really appreciate the time and effort you give in producing such excellent videos. 👌 👌 👌
Having just done a day trip to Cádiz yesterday, there is definitely a limit to what you can do and spending a few days might have been more relaxing. But thank you for the tips, including where to eat. I visited Casa Manteca and I was very happy with my tortilla de gambarones and other dishes.
We are working on a self-guided tour of Cádiz in one day that will take you to all the interesting places in the city in that period of time. But we love Cádiz so much our stays are always longer.
This is a really informative video. Thank you for creating it. I really hope to visit Cadiz soon and when I do I will have this as a lovely handy guide 👍
Hello Tony! We watch your UA-cam channel about Spain, because of your recommendations we are visiting your home city Zaragoza tomorrow!!! Thank you for your show and comments on Spain Travels, you have been our best friend in looking for tips on Spain travel!!! Michael & Sansanee G.
Thanks a lot , great video and makes me change my plan to include Cadiz on my trip to Southern Spain . One question though , I know winter is not the best season , but is it still ok visiting Cadiz ??
Thanks, Peter, Cádiz doesn't look its best in winter - for one thing, there is no beach life at all. But on a nice sunny day it is still a wonderful visit.
Tony - love your videos. We will be travelling to Andalusia in April 2024 and plan to train from Cordoba to Seville and pick up a car at Santa Justa station and head to Cadiz for the weekend. We were lucky enough to find an Airbnb that has a parking garage. My question is can you recommend a good car rental company that has cars at Santa Justa?
I will be in Cadiz for 1 day in Nov next year on a cruise stop, unfortunately on a Sunday. Do you know if anything like the market will be open? Or just the very touristy places? I know I can still walk around and through the city and thanks to your video I have an idea of where to go.
I am going to be arriving soon in Malaga, and staying there for 4 weeks. We plan to do some day trips, our priorities being Granada, Cordoba, Antequerra, Ronda, and some nearby Costa del Sol towns (like Torremelinos and Fuengirola). We may also rent a car and drive to Gibraltar. Do you think we should add Cadiz to our list? From Malaga, it is quite a bit further, so I am not sure if it is worth doing as a day trip.
Hello there, four weeks is quite a lot of time but your are absolutely right, Cádiz is quite a drive from Málaga. Likewise, please do not think of Granada as a day trip from Málaga, we always recommend a minimum of three nights in Granada, a wonderful city with many things to see. All the best!
Hi Tony. We are visiting both Cordoba and Cadiz and deciding to see Andalusian Horse show . Which is your option is the best to see they both look good. Thanks Noela Australia
Hi Noela, well, there is no horse show in the city of Cádiz (only in the city of Jerez). We talk about the Córdoba show here: ua-cam.com/video/2tTlT68kxEo/v-deo.html
Hello Tony, My wife and I (your ages) are travelling to spain in January and are planning on a day trip from our 5 day stop in Seville. Is it essential to prebook for a day trip, am and return pm, or do you just rock up to the train station, pay for a ticket and board the train? If pre booking is needed how far in advance do they allow bookings? Thanks Matt
Hi Matt, to board the fast train to Cádiz (not really that fast, takes two hours) you need to have your seats reserved, so I would advice to buy the tickets at least a few days in advance. All the best.
I ve choosen my destination for this summer and it will be Cadiz I have a question: Can we use the constitution bridge by bike for a trip to San Fernando ?
Clear and informative video but you didn’t give details about the Islamic era of Cadiz. Hence, the given timeline of the city missed a very important historical and flourishing period. Regards
Thank you, we mentioned periods in Cádiz history for as long as they are relevant to the places you can visit in present Cádiz. There are hardly any remains from the Islamic era of Cádiz - which doesn't diminish its importance. That's what stands Cádiz apart from other Andalusian cities.
no problem! We are big admirers of the Islamic legacy in many parts of Spain, it is just that in the case of Cádiz there is very little left to show. All the best to you!
@@ROADTRIPSpainandPortugal Thanks again. Spain is a beautiful country with generally nice open minded nation. I have visited it for five times and the sixth one will be soon. I’m a big fan of Al-Andalus History. It is full of useful lessons though it is too sad for us. However, now, Spain and Portugal are secular, democratic and they allow freedom of religion. I’m glad that Spain under the secular regime takes care of the Islamic ruins and shows the Islamic period of its history. I liked your channel’s content as you provide guidance to tourists and I’m happy to be one of its subscribers. Best regards from Qatar 🇶🇦
