Fixing a Blown Head Gasket on a Outboard (Yamaha 115 Outboard) Our Yamaha was bogging down when trying to throttle up! We busted out the tools and found the issue! This is us fixing it and getting it back on plane in just a few days! (Most important part of this is having the correct tools - Torque wrench will be a worthy investment!) DIY this is not difficult to do just take your time and your boat will be up and running in 3 to 5 hours!

Hello i have the same issue, quick question how can i remove the water inside the piston or would it just steam away when hot? I see you have water in it. I already took the gaskets off but my concern is the water. Thanks a lot

I would try to blow out all the water and let it air dry as much as possible!! Air hose and some towels should do the trick!
