As for the "tabs" on the part I might have used a couple center point rectangles. I think it's easier to pick multiple faces to extrude sometimes than go around trimming lines to get it down to a single closed sketch loop. Great videos Kevin!
Hey nice couple of things I've been doing the slow way. Had no idea you could project an axis into a sketch. I usually draw a line, constrain, set to construction geometry. No more! Thanks.
Like your video, but my current version of Fusion (up to date) does not seem to have the same option selections as your is showing. Project Geometry for one seems to have changed a lot. Is there and update, as I got lost following you at that point. Anyway, good video.
Glad you found it. That video was from A very long time ago, and as you know, Fusion has evolved greatly since then. That is the blessing and sometimes a challenge of Fusion: the rapid evolution of the product.
Very Nice but, your cut out in the circle for tensioning wasn't fully constrained. I'm just learning and would a appreciate if you could help me out to fully constrain all the dimension.
Excellent! Could you do the newbs a favor and go a little slower the first time you do something new? I.E. Point out exactly what you're doing for constraints, what you click or what key you press and if you do that before or after selecting sketch features. I couldn't see how you projected the X axis, but then again I'm feeling on my phone. Thanks again for the great tutorial!
Tim Musson Yes! I will do my best. I am working on about 15 videos so I can release one or two videos a week. The first video will cover an example for all of the constraint types in Fusion 361. I love to get viewer questions and requests. You can email them to info@mechanicaladvantage.com
Kevin, I like how you show many different ways and the benefits of each. A lot of the how to videos only focus on one method. Good stuff !! Thank you.
Like a boss Kevin. Love the "in canvas" tips you showed too. Saves going up into the tool bar all the time. Cheers, Aaron.
A lot of very powerful features demonstrated here. Thanks.
Nice to see the comparison of ways the same task is completed.

I avoid trimming too, so the sketch is easy to modify. I wish F360 could create construction-type segments instead of trimming them.
Great video and tips. You show how you did everything to where i could follow you with my fusion 360 and that was fun. Thanks!!!

I didn't know that you can project the axis. Thanks for that.
Nice, very helpful.

Anyway, good video.
Very clear and helpful, thanks!
That was so informative. Thank you!
Great tips! Thank you
Wow, very very helpful. Thanks for this
very good video
Seriously cool! Thank you.
That was interesting, thanks!
Never mind my other post, my eye sight is not all that good and I found my problem.

It WAS. It is clearly in black color (constrained).
Excellent!

Crap-a-doodle! I only have Fusion 36Zero... :-P
Very nice tutorial, Subscribed!
That was great! Thanks.
