This was the episode that came out 2 days after my brother passed away in my arms. I hadn't smiled or laughed since, but this got me to finally break. I cried afterwards. I commented on their website thanking them and Lani sent me his condolences and it meant a lot. I just hope these guys know how much their hard work can and has made so many people smile or laugh in times that they otherwise would not. Thank you Nick, Scott and Curtis and every other person who made this

something neat they did with Cell is that each of his forms seem to imitate the personality of the character he is fighting:
-Imperfect Cell is like Piccolo in that he is more strategic and calculating since he knows he is weaker than most of this opponents
-Semi Perfect Cell is lik Vegeta, he had JUST received a power boost that finally put him in reach of hils ultimate goal and as soon as that world view is challenged he panics and acts like the world OWED him his goals
-Perfect Cell is like Goku, he only cares about testing his own power, he wants to win to proove himself and not for a more basic goal of "ruling the universe"
-Super Perfect Cell is like SS2 Gohan, Overly confident and he wants not only to win, but to make his opponent suffer while he wins as they realize just how much he outclasses them

Thanks for the shoutout; UA-cam didn't really push AFIS 2 when it was released and a lot of people have no idea it's out. Aside from Beltino Toad, Remix also voiced Desslar Coba, the informant James meets on the train. He's a very wonderful, talented friend.
Oh yeah, when I got to the credits, I did a fuckin' doubletake.
That whole scene with Desslar was pitch perfect. The lighting, the dialogue, the delivery. I couldn't even recognize that was Remix.
Glad to give the show some love; it's one of the coolest fan projects I've *ever* seen, and I'd kill to see more!~

I never knew Android 16 was voiced by remix. I love his voice, it just fits well. He did such an awesome job.

For me, I sometimes forget its Remix even though I knew he was 16 since day one as its so good and it doesn’t sound similar to other voices he’s done in the show.
I read em and was like “well this Remix guy sounds a whole lot like WeeklyTubeShow” and just never put it together till a handful of years ago 😂

He should have been named Wegeta, but he's always lost the second half of the W.
One thing I always appreciated is that while Cell is having an increasing break down over the episode, but the moment he realizes he can manipulate Vegeta to get what he wants he calms down instantly and begins working that angle.
XD I mean He knows his uncle Veggie as well as he knows himself
Lani's takes being so perfect are one thing, but him being so dead-on that he can recall them with the exact pacing, tone and emphasis? You can hear Vegeta's smugness in stereo and it never ceases to amuse me.

Lani’s just like us in that he’s rewatched the series so many times that he’s memorized all the quotable lines
The “Bitch, I’m adorable” line has gotten me in trouble so many times over the years, at work or at the pub.
So few fellow locals have seen DBZA, but “You think you’re cute” is an oddly common response to my shenanigans.
Worth every moment.

I use that line every time I'm told I'm cute, but usually I put an F bomb in for extra spice
17:47 On the subject of Cell lying here, not only does he immediately rescind the lie, but his tail also seems to nod earnestly in reply to Vegeta's question. I think even if he could lie, his body might just instinctively betray that he's lying.
He does have Krillen's DNA. Can't shut up when he's scared.

The “Sure-you-can” joke never fails to get a laugh out of me. It’s a shame that this was Vegeta’s final moment of badassery in this whole series.

The whole "we're actually rooting for vegeta?" Back-and-forth between Tien and Piccolo was basically how I felt during the last presidential election.
Well to be fair, it was also the last thing King Vegeta III ever heard.
As fan of Fighting Games that joke feels me with glee.
He did shoot Cell in the back during the Father/Son Kamehameha that gave Gohan the chance to turn the beam struggle around.
I don’t know if it was intentional or not, but I do like how when Goku is narrating Namek to Gohan he speaks like Frieza threatening his son was the last straw

Gohan in this has every reason to have the issues he does, but is by this point caught up enough in them he ignores/can't see the little indicators that his dad really does love him and is just really bad at understanding things from his perspective.

I love Taka because he’s such a snarky dick but he goes all in on giving credit where it’s due. It makes his snark feel way more playful and fun and makes it clear where it’s coming from.
Yet it seems like its rarely the other way around...

I would question this, but honestly whether you're looking at DBZA or the actual series this duality just fits Bulma's character.
To be fair, even being rich, she probably wanted Vegeta to contribute something. Time, effort, money, care, attention. anything would do I imagine. Especially before the baby came since pregnancy is a wild ride.

Think giving 16 the "I am hilarious and-" line in Kai 3 only made that misconception stronger.
I remember around the time they first see and fight 17 and 18 people were already making that joke.
The first 4 minutes are basically a showcase of how these guys made DBZA into the beautiful thing that it is. I could legit watch hours of footage of the three of them just goofing around, reminiscing or coming up with new jokes.
That three Android 16s scene was fucking immaculate 😂

1) a threat to Cell
2) a jab at Trunks (dad embarrassing his son)

FUN FACT that you may or may not care: I started watching DBZA in mid of to late 2015 and that was a time where people would just freely (and unfairly) upload all of dbza as a complete series. I watched it up to 49 so when I eventually (and rightfully) subbed to TFS and they uploaded episode 50 it was the first "new" episode I got to watch so that was fun and excited to now be apart of the ride with the fandom.

Idk if you guys saw it, but in 2019 I tweeted that I wanted Andrew Bowen (Johnny Cage voice actor) to say "Bitch I'm adorable" in the next MK game and he responded laughing and all these years later I reminded him of it and he replied "Spoilers" when I asked. It'd be so insane if it ends up in Mortal Kombat 1 lmao
Now you got me hoping that Johnny says the line in MK1, regardless if it's in the story or in pre-fight dialogue.

I love the chemistry in this commentary. When Taka came in, it seemed like he was being interrupted and talked over. This video has such great balance and flow
2:50 This made me think of you guys making a "behind the scenes", but it's the characters as actors talking about how it was shooting the entire DBZA series, and it turns out Vegeta is actually that actor who always plays villains but is perfectly chill irl
I think there's a fan theory of this being the Mario universe. Bowser and titular are secretly best friends, and all the games and cartoons are just everyone participating in a giant series of shows and sporting events, all filmed by Lakitu.

I get almost as hyped for every creator commentary video as I did when DBZA was coming out. I absolutely love this series
The "you think you're cute?" "bitch, I'm adorable" was actually from Supernatural season 4. It's one of those one-liners that got repeated everywhere, so Lani could heard anywhere on the internet that year.
You gotta love the fact that while rewatching all of this, Taka is essentially just bringing out his Jim Carrey facial features and being a bit chaotic like some of Jim's characters as well.
The last year of my life has been a pretty rough one between loosing my grandfather and my father back to back. But I always find myself coming to you guys and DBZA for a laugh and it has helped me through this dark period of my life. Cheers boys!
Basically this series has been a very long walkthrough of all of Scott's emotional labour through the whole production of DBZA
The #16 VA confusion probably wasn’t helped by the fact he was the only character of 4 not played by Taka to get the “I am hilarious” line in Kai abridged
I love that these guys can just randomly come up with a bit of an Android 16 convention out of nowhere and make it hilarious. Shows how great their writing chemistry is.
I love how Cell doesn't say the "unitard" line out loud because it shows how out of his element he is. He's completely outmatched, and he knows it.
Watching these, and seeing these three together, I really do hope MasakoX is able to make a trip over for at least episode 60.
I just want Team Four Star to make their own original anime or cartoon with all the talented people they’ve met over the years.

I like the idea of “You’ll die trying” being foreshadowing. Like that Cell was trying to kill Vegeta and the rest of the earth, then he dies once he’s gets unbalanced from vegeta’s attack later on.
Missed opportunity at 21:00 when Cell and Vegeta are talking to have Trunks callback to the Goku/Vegeta fight with "No... no no no.... no no n-_aaaaaaaa!"_
“You feel that? That’s what HONESTY feels like.”
That legit is my favorite Vegeta line in the entire show! That line stuck with me ever since it was said, and it’s such a good line. It honestly speaks to his character when he’s on top and yeah being PEAK Vegeta. Also good for a renegade or villain character just saying

i think part of what I like about the post namek, android cell arc, is that it's vegeta at his best. He has his best moments. He's a relatable character because he's constantly knocked down, overcomes it and gets back up. Goku gets credited as the character always overcoming his limits, but so is vegeta.
