These are some very neat sculpts. Not really my thing and I don't know when I would use them, but I really like the texture and character of the models, especially the monk, merchant, and giant turtle. Glad to get another monster that can serve as a mount/platform.
Beautiful sculpts!! Any chance you could include something for reference alongside the miniatures so that we can get a better sense of their scale? Not the traditional banana, obviously, but maybe something with clear units of measure?
This is the “refreshing” content I was looking for. Some recent sets appeared to be diving into a similar look or race that you’ve covered before, this was what I was hoping for. Still waiting on loxodons. My only gripe with this is Snail riders? Typically a mount is used because they are faster… a turtle riding a snail feels implausible but they do look fantastic.
I'd like to think the speed would scale with the size. So I reckon these bad boys are capable of around 48mph. I did some fuzzy math to get to that number so it's not a total guess.
Thanks! These snails have corrosive drool, can navigate over poisonous swamp, their skin is extremely resilient and their shell even more, since they corrode and eat metal from weapons and armors of their enemies, so even if the speed is not great they are dangerous :)
I think I say "this is the coolest" every month, but that turtlekin merchant is freaking awesome.
Thank you! Glad you like the Merchant!
