  • Hi Everyone! I've gotten a lot of requests to do a getting started video/Q&A, so a while back, I posted a Q&A on my Instagram (@jen_plans). I got a whole bunch of great questions and did my best to answer each one in this video. As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to leave them in the comments :) I hope it can be helpful!

Great video. I use my monthly area for days off or birthdays and other unusual things that will happen before the week arrives. I don't fill my planner out ahead so it helps. Love my EC.

What a fabulous video!!! I've just ordered my first ever EC Life Planner and this has been extremely useful. I've watched a lot of videos on YT about planning but everyone just shows stickers but no one has actually made a useful how to start out in planning and how to plan. I never knew about adhesive tape till now! Not too sure if Australia has it (we don't have the Papermate Flair pens!) but will be looking for it today. Keep up the good work! xox Melbourne, Australia

Hey Jen. I love your videos 👌 About the monthly view of my planner- I use my monthly view as a section for important dates like important days at work, days that are deadlines for a few projects and mainly appointments and pay check stuff. So at a glance I know what should I be doing ASAP (since all the deadlines are in there)

I've just hopped on the ECLP bandwagon (maybe should have waited a few months and gotten an 18-monther but I didn't know that was a thing then, lol) and watching your videos has really given me ideas. Also, that ARRLove Etsy shop you reference is really going to do damage to my bank balance xD

I'm just starting to use a planner and this video was great! Can you add links to some of your favorite etsy shops and other things you mentioned in the description- like the machine you use to make stickers? I'd love to check them out.

Weird question, I think was you though... Did you put in your planner repeatedly to clean your basement until you finally moved?? Or was that one of the others?

I have planner question though - I have been trying so hard to find planner peace, I have everything from day designer, to happy planner to EC (vertical and horizontal) to Malden Filofax... Even started getting fauxodoris!!! I feel like I need something to carry with me, that fits in my purse so I have a websters color crush personal size, I don't really decorate it that much so I have EC as a creative outlet but I thought that was upgrade from happy, and I'm really disappointed in the paper quality. I literally have the original Filofax (personal size) in my cart now - how do I ever stop and just be happy with what I have?? Even if I had one for home, one for on the go... I can not stop, it's like an addiction to find planner peace. Please help, do you make what you have work or do you keep looking?
