The grooves on the black thing are for folding. You fold it to make a little "wall" that you then press the back of the unit against, then it can follow the wall and make straight prints.
That thing looks awfully cool - especially useful when you want to print out rude words on someone's forehead when they pass out at a party.

The compatible HP ink cartridges are 62 CMY (C2P05AE) and 804 (T6N09AA) CMY, both standard and XL (C2P07AE/T6N11AA), with HP 64 (N9J89AN/N9J91AN) being optional, but not recommended due to different color order (all alternative to the Princube 'standard ink', i doubt there's one from HP for the gel-based 'permanent ink' one, so order extra of that if you buy the Princube!). Mr. Novaspirit promised to give that info in the description, but forgot. Princube *used* to give this info on their Indygogo site in the FAQ, but now they don't anymore. As a backer, I sure hope that's cause they want to sell more of their "own" (?) ink cartridges and not because they actually removed compatibility with the HP ones...

Long press the key will clean print head for you.

When you printed the Novaspirit text was that some colour bleedthrough on the N from the previous print
Actually, it looked more like the ink had dried onto the head and prevent the N from fully forming. It doesn't appear to be color from the previous print. If you're concerned previous color bleedthrough, then use the brush provided to clean the head between prints.

Don't know about you guys, but I saw this review 2 years ago and thought it was trust worthy to contributed it since this channel is testing it already. Never saw the damn thing coming and now 2 years later they are sending out emails saying the cost of shipping has increased and are asking for 15$ for it to be send out. While on their website they are selling it for half of the price we have backed on their inital funding.
Same here. Also with extra 15 for shipping. And Printer came way to late and without Ink, and the extra Ink for 65 is missing since 2019. Service is playing dead man. Don´t buy.

cool review, however I want to print on product packaging that I sell, with making so many errors in which it smudges etc.. its a bit risky as I can end up ruining products/packaging. Did you eventually get to a level where it is error free? Also if possible can you recommend any similar devices that may print a little larger size like 2-3 inches?
Smudges happens on all printers. so do what you will normally do with any printer when you have that problem
The product is a lemon and the company so far has made it impossible to replace it or at least try to fix the problem. I am still trying to get them to solve the problem to no avail.

@Novaspirit Tech, it would be more useful if you actually (a) showed non-flat, paper surface, and (b) show how durable. Surely standard ink will wash with water so not sure how it would be useful for most of the stuff you mentioned (tools, lunchbox, etc).

So what model is that ink cartridge? I don't see it in the description! :) (heard they're having some surprise negotiations with ink supplier, though. Might change?)
He said at 2:18 that he believes the ink cartridge is an HP Office Jet 5746 cartridge. Don't hold me to this claim, though, as I've never used this device. I'm going by what he states in the video.
I want to buy this machine, where to get it and price
This demo made it seem like I'd have to clean the print heads after every image I print or the first print of a new image will be messed up. The rest of the concept is cool, but I'm gonna wait until they get that part fixed (otherwise, claiming 400+ pages is actually 200+ pages given the bad prints).
The indigogo campaign is a tremendous success, going over 3million. But I don't think they knew they would have had this much success so I will probably wait till the dust settles and a refined version will come out or the high volume production will show success.
I would love to use this on glass too, however, is it waterproof or will it just come off the first wash, same with fabric?

The printhead, is the actual printer. It's used for printing best before dates on cans and bottles.
No you're totally wrong. Best before dates are printed using non contact laser markers.

I study science at uni, I need soemthing that I can use to print diagrams and pictures easily. My only concern about this is that it might be too small for the diagrams. It's the same as all Inkjet ink made by HP. It will adhere to most paper, but not all surfaces. You'll have to test it on specialty surfaces for permanence before committing to full print runs.

There are tons of us who contributed to this on Indiegogo and none of us have received our items. We pledged at least 100 each. They have raised over 5MM dollars and have sent nothing!

Buy a new cartridge or attempt to refill the cartridge yourself. The difficulty with refilling cartridges is that it's a completely messy process. Been there, done that. Wear gloves.
