This channel reminds me of my time studying and working in Toronto 20 years ago. Visited Toronto again in 2016. Hope to be back again. I hope Canada remains safe and peaceful like this. I hope the frequent violence south of the border won't make it to Canada. Greetings from Thailand.
Love, love, love this video/walk/tour. One of my favorite trips to Toronto (my 2nd ever) was with my best friend to go see a Leafs game and the Hockey Hall (he was the mega hockey fan). We checked out the St Lawrence Market and I remember getting a great bagel there and a bottle of the Wayne Gretzky wine for my mom (she didn't know him, but enjoyed the wine LOL). Was a great trip and this walk brought back lots of good memories. Thanks so much!
I love the Berczy Park Dog and one Cat Fountain, it's my most favourite parks in Toronto. When I would come to Toronto by Go Transit it's the first place I would visit! For me, there is no place like the historic St. Lawrence neighbourhood so much history and close to everything that I adore about Toronto! Thank you Johnny this was so cool! Enjoy your day! 😀👍
The original City Hall is the older section of the St. Lawrence Market that is now the front entrance and Market Gallery. The original market was part of the City Hall.
I used to stay at the Novotel on The Esplanade frequently, but it’s been closed to hotel patrons since the pandemic though I’ve heard some unfortunately sour things about there. It’s a shame because The Esplanade’s generally a nice street. Looking forward to being back in Toronto in a few weeks time.
Scotland Yard on Esplanade was popular with UK expats, you could park in front too. Across from St Lawrence Market was/is(?) the Northern/farmer's market which waa just as interesting. Always enjoyed leaving St LM poor, full, and looking forward to cooking.
I've been to the Jean-Talon and the Atwater over in Montreal, but never the Saint Lawrence. Definitely on my list. Never heard of peameal bacon--now also on the list.
so weird, I was on your live stream hangout last night March 19th 2023 - and I mentioned in the chat that I would love to see your tour St Lawrence Market and this morning this was on my screen - coincidence ??
I'm there with you brother I live in Cornwall but I also seen a beautiful sights of Toronto I wish I wish I was with you it is not so easy for me to go to Toronto lately
I'm disabled and can no longer get around so I appreciate being able to see my Toronto virtually. Thank you.
You're welcome!
I love the little added tidbits of knowledge, much better than merely walking the streets. Feels almost like a tour of sorts :D

10:44-That's where my apartment is-once again, you've been in my neighborhood, Johnny! Hope that I can catch you one day.
Gorgeous day, great walk. I definitely want to check out the St. Lawrence Market on my next trip to Toronto. Thanks Johnny.
Beautiful sunny day in Toronto. thanks for sharing Johnny. Enjoy Spring season.
We really enjoyed this video ! Love the market and all the interesting shops.

A beautiful park. Looks so relaxing. 👍
That has got to be one of the best markets in the world for sheer size and very appealing wide range of international foods for sale.

I absolutely love your walks but after a joint on my massive projector screen really enhances the neighbourhood trekking experience

Nope, just the standard lens in 4K60, cheers.
Busters Sea Cove- used to occasionally treat myself to a pricey but delicious lobster roll.
Nice video 📹 👍 👌 👏
$7.95 for some back bacon?!?!? Yikes. Better be great. That was one of my fave items from the CNE back in the day.
Johnny Strides is 42 yrs. old? Though he was a lot younger than that!

Hi
Heee
Unfortunately you can see a lot of garbage in Canada's cuties everywhere. I'm so sorry for Canada
Are you drunk, high or stupid?
