What beautiful displays you will get out of those pots!!! Gorgeous choice of tulips. It made me want to plant some tulips in pots as well, especially because I still have two large terracotta pots that are empty. But I don't know if I will this year already. I've just got a baby german shepherd dog, 3 months old, and she is a plant biter/chewer and too many pots already to keep her away from 😝😝
Hi, really enjoyed this video. I am so looking forward to seeing your bulbs come up next year. I find that however many pots I have there is never enough,!😊 I will be plant a mix of tulips call 'day and night' or its might be 'night and day.' 😂
Feel in 🥰 with those Tall, Earthy Green Glazed terracotta pots ! Also, the Custom engraved rectangular terracotta planter. how Pretty. Spring will be Glorious at the Douentza Garden.
Ooh, how lovely! You have inspired me. I have some new tulip and narcissus bulbs so I am going to decorate the gravelled area around my front door. I have lots of pink tulips to plant. I am awaiting some iris bulbs and crocus. I have tulips in pots from last year, but I doubt I will see them again. I am going to empty my pots and see. I ind it so disappointing and so expensive to decorate with tulips, but I just can't resist them.I have bought some Darwin varieties and peppermint stick in the hope they will return again next year :-) Happy gardening 😀
Ooh, 'Peppermint Stick' is a lovely variety, also a clusiana like my 'Lady Jane'. It is hard to resist. I don't know where you are but often you can get discounted tulips in December - if you can hold out that long!
I'm always glad I'm very welcome. Can't wait to see the results! This is the time of year all of us Southern US gardeners wait for everyone's bulb displays.
I think all colours in nature go together! I think I need to get some tulips now! I did order some alliums, iris and other spring bulbs for the garden. Bonny zone 5b Canada
Pink over orange?! Say it isn’t so 😢 Not a fan of pink, but I’ll enjoy the displays anyway I’m sure. Bulbs in pots don’t work for me, but I absolutely love all the species tulips I have in the garden. Can’t wait to see them! As far as pots, I have overwintered several hanging baskets for a few years now. They get huge during the season. I just cut them back and put them up for the season. Repotting (rebasketing?) is in order next year for sure.
I'm going pink this year. The last two years I went rusts, copper and orange! It was hard to change but have to try something new! I too was swayed by Claus Dalby displays! Just stunning!
Well, my heart does still belong to orange but it's good to change it up a bit sometimes, especially when it's not a permanent display. And, yes, perennial tulips in the ground beat pots any day. But it's nice to have both ☺️
A really good idea...I finished to plant my bulbs yesterday.I love to see them flowering here and there in my garden but planting the bulbs I found a lot of bulbs from last year....I hope I didn't damaged them . The most special I plant this year is the Eremurus Himalaicus 😍 Thank you!
If I had the room in my refrigerator, I might be inclined to buy some bulbs and then just plant them up in January to force them, they are so cheap right now it doesn't matter that I'd be throwing them away. Problem is I never have room in the fridge. I suppose I could at least find room for some Hyacinth bulbs. Hmm.
Hi Rachel🌺 . Wonderful collections of bulbs and I can't wait to see the pretty flowers of tulips . Have awonderful day 🌷🌻🌷
Thank you! You too!
great video, they are going to be beautiful. can't wait to see them. thank you for sharing. be safe.
Thank you very much! You too

I think you're right. After making this video I bought bulbs to fill three more big pots 😁 Night and Day - sound like a white/black mix.

Well, we all do what our climate allows. Thanks for watching and take care 🌷
Beautiful
I choose lila and burgundy and pink bulbs from farmer Gracy… I can’t wait to see them in spring. Yours and mine too 😍
That sounds simply gorgeous 🥰🥰 o

Well, bulbs for the garden are a definite investment but no harm in having a few pots too!
Thank you so much for the impromptu lily potting too, what a delightful surprise 😊
Had to be done. Glad it was helpful
I love it! I have planted my bulb pots this year.. possibly a bit early but i love the promise of spring. 🌷
Same here! Gives the spirit such a boost ☺️
Hello Rachel, I can't wait to see them next Spring. I think they are going to look beautiful, and I love your pot choices, too. ❤❤❤
Thank you so much, Wanda 🌷
Thanks for the video. I will be trying tulips in pots
Have fun!

@@GardeningatDouentza yes I’m sure! I wish I could grow pots of bulbs! I’ll enjoy yours vicariously 🙃

Sounds great. How wonderful that can grow eremerus. I have no luck with any of the species 😔
@@GardeningatDouentza for me it's the second time I try the Eremurus 🤞
@@hrm266 that means you succeeded last time so it's looking good!

cheap?.. where do you live you lucky person?
Now there's another whole raft of considerations 🤔
@@ruralangwin the US. Most of the sellers have them 50% off right now. I can get mixed bulbs on the cheap. For example, 15 Hyacinth are a paltry $8
The spring display was gorgeous!!! Good luck with the next on👍
Thanks so much! 😊
