It was perfect with the addition of the pry bar! Just roll up a rag and put it under the combustion chamber so the valve will stay up and use a magnet to remove the keepers. If you don't weld a handle on it you can throw it in that drawer of homemade tools for later. Nice Job.
SHORTEN IN SO IT DOESNT STICK OUT PAST THE LIP OF THE HEAD.. then weld a piece of1/4 inch square stock at a 90 degree angle with the flat part. near the top . then you can cantilever it. make the cantilever handle abt 10 inches long,, then u can compress the springs with the heads on the engine too.

Thank you!
This music makes me want to party!🎉🎉🎉😂
🤣
Nice! The pry bar slot is a nice touch!
I always wanted to make something like that to try, but was worried about loosening the press in rocker studs
U can get the keepers out with hammer and a socket. U need your little tool to put them back in though.

Are you guys from saskatoon?
Why wouldn't you just bend you flat bar to the angle of the pry bar and use that to compress the spring?
That would have worked too
Was the edge the head damaged? Was there a good head gasket seal?
it was a test head
Why not just weld a Pry Bar or whatever to the tool
