This is my video response to all my friends and family and subscribers who often ask me why we left Las Vegas and moved to Reno Nevada? We moved here in 2019.

I escaped California for Reno in 2018 and haven't regretted it one bit. I live in the Damonte Ranch area you mentioned and your spot on about all the things there are to do around here. I tell my friends and family about the great weather, I love having all four seasons, although this last winter was a bit much. Some want to move to Las Vegas and I say why, Reno is so much nicer! We've got everything here, the Sierra's to the west and deserts to the east. I tell them however, if they come to leave their politics back in California, if you know what I mean!
Lived there over 20 years and left 2 years ago when the growth was enormous and so fast. We loved it so much, just saddened that the Biggest Little City exploded so quickly. We have wonderful memories of our years in Reno.
Yuppers! The wife and I moved from SF Bay area to the Damonte Ranch area 4 years ago. Best decision of our life's. Now the kids are moving here. We were tired of the cost of living, crime, traffic, homeless camps, taxes, the pollical climate, and the awful laws in CA. N. Nevada means Freedom!!!

I'm 40 born and raise in Reno...I hate it here! I can't wait to move! I don't understand the whole change in Reno why suddenly everyone from CA and all over the world are moving here?! Prices are extremely high! Something is wrong with our City of Reno council approving new homes/buildings to be built plus the whole USA Parkway city being created. Good for you that you have the whole kit n boodle to afford everything...us locals are SOL can't afford anything...
I have lived here for 17 years. Moved from North Las Vegas which was an absolute dump! No large city is perfect in the united states right now. But all in all, I LOVE IT HERE! The population growth has made it harder for traffic and housing. But as an outdoors person. there is no other place I'd rather live!
Be careful promoting it, there will be the hoards coming and it will be like Vegas!
Currently have clients looking to move to Reno from Vegas, & they said the same thing: wanting to get out of the heat! 😊
I moved to Northern Nevada from Hawaii in 1995 and haven’t regretted it. Thanks for the thumbs up to Reno and environs.
I don't want to live in the suburbs. I'm looking to buy a few acres of land just outside the metro area to build a house. I want some space, privacy, easy access to nature, while still being close enough to things that it's not an annoyance to get groceries, go out to dinner, see a movie, etc.
I use to watch all your content, but the algo stopped recommending them even tho I'm subscribed. This video came up because I am considering retiring to the Reno area from Ohio in about 5 years and I'm doing some research. I didn't even realize it was the same channel until you mentioned going to all the Vegas shows. I've been keeping an eye on Reno metro area and I like a lot about it, particularly the weather. I love the fact that you get 4 defined seasons and low humidity in the summer. That said, I am concerned about the rapidly climbing cost of living out there. I won't be retiring rich by any means, so I'm afraid I'll get priced out of the area by the time I retire.
Thank you for this content and everyone's input on their take from moving out of California into Reno. My bf & I are currently/originally in SoCal area and plan to move next year ('24). I work for Trader Joe's and luckily, they're building not just a second location but also a third. South Reno & Sparks. But, which do you recommend? South or Sparks
