Hello! I need your help, yesterday, I have a discussion with my family because I had only one card in my hand, and the event card active in that moment, required me to discard 2 cards, I had my resistance mutation at level one, so they were saying that I had to pay my card AND my resistance level because the card said 2 cards, but I only had one, so I was saing that I could low my resistance 1 level but keep my card, or only descart my unique card, who is correct?, I will appreciate a lot your help!

Thanks for the question, There is an faq on BGG that the designer did and this is one of the questions that came up, but in short your 1 resistance will protect your one card and you will not have to discard it. The same is true for cubes so if a card has you discard four of your cubes from cities and you had four cubes out in cities and you have a resistance of 2 you could spend the two resistance protecting two cubes and removing the other two. I think You don't discard the city card, you just flip it over
