@@kennymoore7332 It's weird how they say she left because she objected to the song/lyrics in 36D. But in this song she repeatedly sings, "this is the woman you laid"
Oh her voice sooths my soul 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 listening to her since the beautiful south I started becoming a fan at the age of 12 so 1996. I continued to listen to Briana even when Jackie Abbott joined BS. Briana was sooooooo much better, ❤ xx
Agreed--I've loved all 3 of the female singers in TBS but Briana is my favorite and this will always be the classic line-up in my mind even though it didn't last as long as the next one.
Beautiful Briana, gorgeous singer, missed her voice so sweet,so tender used to play & sing this on repeat for years, can so relate 💔 wish I could still hit the range I used to 😢, i'll love this song forever! ❤️ 😍
Timeless, beautiful classic. This is the song I unwind to before bed, particularly through recurring difficult times. Genius Songwriter and Brianna, What a voice! Lucky enough to see them many times.
Brianna a voice of a generation, never courted commercial success after she left the BS, by far the best female vocalist of the Beautiful South, as they say when something is good that is fine, but when something is good good................................. Just fabulous on this track!
In my opinion she was the very best female vocalist in bs I grew up listening to them although I may get hated on but Rotterdam was by far my least favourite of all their songs so wish brianna would have stayed
All the Beautiful South ladies were completely fabulous, but for me, in my humble opinion, Briana was the best, that raw voice, amazing, I suspect Paul and her did not really get along so well, hence her short lived spell in the band, but she left a lasting legacy of brillance, perhaps he neeed her voice more than he realised at the time, and maybe she needed his song writing brillance just as much, who really knows..
It's a shame Paul became a lead singer for this band. His singing wasn't nearly as good as hers, or the guy on the right who sang a few more very nicely. He should have stuck to the song writing and taken more of a back seat imo.
Breana: Sure sounds like you married. Singing of the Facts of life. You sure have that one of a kind voice that cuts like a knife into my heart . "I love it". Regards from South Africa.
When you're this good you should legally become public property and it should be illegal to split up.Just a truly fantastic band one of the very very best ever right along side The smiths,The who,The Beatles and Neil Young.
Everybody's second favourite band except mine... they are my favourite band! Picking a favourite song is like picking a favourite child! But this is so up there - heartbreakingly lovely!
How come she is not a huge star. A fabulous voice and looks great. When you see and hear the shite on x-factor who end up making a small fortune with zero talent, it pisses me off. Rant over.lol. Paul Heaton is a genius on all but letting this girl walk away from the band.
25 YRS OLD but still give goosebumps loved this first time i heard it, but then i loved the house martins so ive been spoit, #lovelightlaughter/movement
My best mate introduced me to the beautiful south hust as they where startin out paul, dave Brianna omg her voice. Loved it. 3 perfect front line vocalist Jackie Abbotts has a great voice amazing harmony but she'll never be Brianna. ♥️
Didn’t know what she looked like when I first heard her voice, the sheer beauty of her voice just totally fell in love with her. Pity she fell out with Paul Heaton
Paul Heaton one of Britain's most underrated song writers the guy was pure genius and drinks in my mums pub the station hotel castleford when recording wf10 2df
Briana - a spine tingling voice
This was Beautiful South in their prime
She rocked!!
Best singer they ever had, such class.
she is so beautiful

man, that voice in the second verse... power, conviction, feel, fragility.... just bloody fabulous.
She was gorgeous ❤
I will never stop loving this song - Briana is amazing.
This was the dream line up of the Beautiful South. Briana's vocals were so absolutely perfect to complement the lads in the band.
Agreed--I've loved all 3 of the female singers in TBS but Briana is my favorite and this will always be the classic line-up in my mind even though it didn't last as long as the next one.
Definitely agreed
I agree whole heartedly
Agree, critically the best. However loving what Paul and Jacquie are doing now!
Aye until jacquie! Yeah tho absolutely amazing they are all amazing 👏 but jacquie has the longevity tho
Yet another underrated classic from an underrated band, stunning vocals from Briana as per ❤
She had a voice and a half! I grew up with this. The foundation of the band in my opinion.
Yes I agree .
Heaton was still the best singer in the band he always was
The vibrato of Briana's voice in this is really special. Will never tire of this. As cozy as a cup of tea at just the right moment.
I love the way the song threatens to burst all the way through then holds back every time. Fantastic.
Bought this album on cassette in 1991 - loved the music and the artwork. What a live performance though. The harmonies of their voices is ... ahhhh.
Amazing music with vocals beyond compare. The album has a place in my heart
The definitive Beautiful South, awesome.
Beautiful Briana, gorgeous singer, missed her voice so sweet,so tender used to play & sing this on repeat for years, can so relate 💔 wish I could still hit the range I used to 😢, i'll love this song forever! ❤️ 😍
Jesus she can sing omg
Beautiful song
Perfect line up
Dave Hemingway is utterly outstanding on this song. Briana too... always brings a lump to my throat. This is how breaking up feels.
Absolutely fantastic!! I always loved this one. And what a voice - just unbelievable!!!
Timeless, beautiful classic. This is the song I unwind to before bed, particularly through recurring difficult times. Genius Songwriter and Brianna, What a voice! Lucky enough to see them many times.
Briana's voice is just WOW
This is one of my fave performances ever by any artist
Their voices blends so well together oh mine....why did they ever think they should break up...this band should have still been together today
This is pretty much the most perfectly beautiful song ever recorded live....beautiful man
still cant help but love this track and also the beautiful south. Briana was pure gold
Amazing vocals,Briana's voice has so much emotion always loved this song
she had attitude and confdence !

i will always love this song. It's heartbreakingly beautiful. 💕
She's got an angelic voice
The disparity between the music and the lyrics was always a hallmark of the Beautiful South. This song flays the listener alive, so potent.
Perfect description.
I like you Keith Harris. I hope this finds you well.
I heard a bit of this on the radio earlier. Completely forgot just how good this song was 😊
Beautiful voice of this woman. And she si Beautiful, too. What wonderful song! Y listened it en the 90 in My country, Argentina.
Loved Briana's voice...and Hemingway's ...and of course Heaton's. Damn, I wish they would get back together...just for one show.
The best line up the south ever had and should get back together .
