Finally... LIMITED EDITION PRINTS of 'Glowing Clouds' are available at www.alpayefe.com/shop 🙀
So excited! Even though I JUST bought all the paints from England to try to recreate this, I know it won’t look the same so I might the print. I’m still hoping you can comment on much safflower oil and turpentine you use (if any) for your paintings
Çeviri de mi olsa
Please bring this print back its my favorite 😍
So beautiful! Thank you so much.
I would love a print, I tried this in gauche and even though it’s more a study it brings some feeling of peace and the spirit of taking a risk
Imagine the amount of highlighter this guy would use if he were a makeup artist
Jazz Jazz Contoured to the heavens
Haha I love it!! 🥰
Jazz Jazz the model would be glowing so bright they gon’ be a small sun lol

Hi frends, klik link ua-cam.com/video/e5YtYD-nzcY/v-deo.html tutorial painting, amagzing!!
so much depth in these clouds, the colors are sharp and bold.
They’re perfectly matched
@@yuliusjordanpangaribuan3833 your name looks like you're from Indonesia. XD
Bold and barch-squidward
11 minutes later, I have not actually learned how to paint clouds, I have however enjoyed 11 minutes of cloud painting
@kamenpower I think it is important to give volume to the clouds - otherwise they don't look like a cloud
This is so accurate. I think if he mentioned which colours he used in which place it'd have been easier for the people trying to draw from this video
Your profile pic really matches the cmt
@@hanhoang7883 I was just gonna say ^ 😂
@@taniamustafiz1887 he does mention the colors he used but it’s in the comments - the type of paints.
As an acrylic artist I keep getting tripped up about how you can just take all the time in the world to finish your painting without worrying about it drying nearly instantly!
Only what we can do is to use retarder but It's much pricey where I live
I even work with acrylic that has pouring medium in it just so it dries even slower 😅🤣 its also a great consistency to work with and blend.
Because hes using oil
@@chopotronichappiness8917 Use an addition of Propylene Glycol, it is very inexpensive and easy to find, and it will extend drying time by about 3-5X.
@@chopotronichappiness8917 I dont know where you live but I bought Novacolor acrylic retarded then thinned it down with airbrush medium
At the beginning of the tutorial: relax, you will get it easy
At the end: painting clouds is very hard... Bob Ross, yeah...
LOL
Took the words right out of my mouth! Lol
LoL
Maria Vaghani yess but actually no
the way he casually shades my guy Bob like that
The sunsets we get in the southwest will have clouds that are these intense colors. It looks so amazing.
The clouds here in Arizona are gorgeous! No wonder there's so many landscape artists from here
Here in the philippines sunset clouds looks so amazing too.💜
yea
I take this is in America. As always.
Artist: "I might have overdone the glowing effect."
Me: NOT ENOUGH! BLIND ME!
I WANT MY EYES TO BURN
Sour Puss kinky
😅
The people who disliked this, messed up their gradients
Ben He literally wasn’t going for realistic clouds. These are surreal clouds with a glowing effect as he has stated in the title and in the video. It’s not a mistake or wrong. It’s intentional.
@@Ben-sx5xb who cares the painting's gorgeous and who are you to say someones idea of art is wrong, there are so many different types of art and like he said, artistic freedom.
🤣🤣🤣 too funny
it's easy to do!
It looks like an explosion. And gives quite a negative first impression.
Just a bit of silly painting to keep you guys company... #slowpeel
If you are in NYC I'd appreciate it if you can tell me of any place that is still open and selling art supplies.
I would suggest ordering online :)
I love this. Just found you on IG as well. Thank you for sharing. 😍💗
What type of paper are you using?
Hi Alpay! I was wondering what particular masking tape do you use for your borders? The tapes I use always end up ripping the paper!
I love it, I could imagine this hung on the wall as a large print.
coming soon, stay tuned :)
Q2han did that!!
Me too!
I'm here after Q2HAN's video recreating this painting.
Definitely will try that too
Me too
I tried to paint this and it did not look like a cloud. It looked more like a explosion...:(
Awesome, now you know how to paint those 🤷 that's a good thing
@@AB-tb5yh this
Explosions are beautiful, too!
An amazing explosion then !
Same!!!
I freak out over that clean, deep, bright backround... it's like an ocean in the sky out of velvet...
Glowing and light are two of my favorite things, and one of the reasons I eventually chose to do oil painting, not that I couldn't figure it out with watercolors, but in oils the glow can be so intense and feel so alive that it's impossible to ignore
I want to try oils
@@oceanrosethatsailsacrossth3466 go for it, its a lot of fun and incredibly satisfying
@@TheHushedsilence there so expensive though.I use watercolors and want to transition into oil paints.Oil paints look like such a pretty medium though.I don't want to clean my brushes with toxic mediums though
@@oceanrosethatsailsacrossth3466 There are actually a lot of ways to do "solvent free" oil painting, Gamblin has Solvent Free Medium, and Safflower Oil, it will add a little to your costs, but it's a good way to go if you're really worried about it.
Winsor and Newton has Water Soluble Oil Paints that are fairly inexpensive, once you get the hang of how to use the brush with water to thin the paints and clean them they become incredibly easy to work with, and they're fairly inexpensive.
@@TheHushedsilence thank you for your advice
This is the best cloud painting I’ve ever seen! All other paintings of clouds I see look like mountains and unnatural, this is some major talent
Check out mark maggiori
Me: *is not an artist, has never painted*
Also me: I need to watch this video
There are so many things that I want to learn how to do, but I can't focus long enough to get good at any of it.
Omg sameeee
Mood
Jack of all trades, master of none
I can't keep my interest consistent and i lack discipline. Result is frustration
@@shuzennn Then do something little by little. Contribute to the piece when you feel like it, when the interest is waning move on to something else for a while. Even if the piece ends up sitting for weeks at this point there is nothing wrong with that. It will still be waiting for you when the motivation and inspiration comes to you. Paintings and art is a good friend that just waits patiently for you. So take your time, and just because you don't feel like painting/drawing for a few days, this does not make you a failure. It just means you have inspiration in something else for a bit. Putting it down for a week is not giving up. :)
Perfect quarantine video! 😄
It's also a little bit different compared to the usual ones.
Yes, I’m trying new things 😊
@Valerie your content is very good. Love your paintings.
Just discovered your channel, my first thought was : "this isn't really my style of art". Then I watched a few of your videos, I really enjoyed learning more about your views on painting, I really enjoyed seeing your process, listening to your advice, watching your technique, as I kept watching, I started thinking " wow that's beautiful", and in the end, this made me think, getting to know the person behind the piece is also important in appreciating the painting, just as it is when hearing someone's words, or reading someone's comment on the internet. Understanding the person is really key to understanding and appreciating their views on the world.
"Painting clouds... is something thats not that easy."
Bob Ross: "Hold my squirl."
😄👌
Love bob Ross videos, watch them daily
The shining clouds are cool. After all, oil painting is an attractive art material:)
Hi frends, klik link ua-cam.com/video/e5YtYD-nzcY/v-deo.html tutorial painting, amagzing!!
and expensive too
I was doing a live stream 2 nights ago, struggling to paint clouds, telling my viewers, "i will have to go watch a video", and perfect timing, my fav oil painter on yt posted one today.
I often see clouds against the dusk eastern sky just like that here in Australia. yes, glowing as much as your painting.
Brilliant video!
I did Day 1 of this cloud painting earlier this week. Now, I'm waiting for it to dry before moving on to Day 2. Thank you so much for putting this out there for the rest of us who are inspired to try our hand at it!
Awesome clouds , it looks like a huge explosion , and that isn't boring. Full of color and movement. Great job 👍
Agreed, my first thought too, it does look like a huge explosion
...and my friend this is how i get inspiration and motivation.
“We now can completely forget about the moon,” hehe, that sounds so funny out of context
I started doing small paintings with some acrylic paint I bought for a Halloween project 2 years back, and I literally do everything the opposite of you. Started with the sky then the clouds, painted in the moon, started with the darkest colours for the clouds and moved my way over to the brighter colours one after another. This will definitely help me with my next mini painting! Thank you so much!
This is so helpful. I'm in my senior year, taking art class and for my final composition, I need to create clouds. This is exactly what I needed.
I just finished painting the first layer. Now I have to let it dry. I hope mine turns out just as beautiful as yours 🥺 Greetings from Hessen ☺️🌼☀️
😁💪
Alina Christ I know I’m a bit too late for this, but if you do the first layers in acrylic it dries faster than oils. You might even be able to use markers but I don’t recommend it because it might wreck the canvas and/or paper.
@@cynthiabrogan9215 did you also know what kind of paper did he used here for oil paint?
Picture or it never happened

This is absolutely breathtaking.
The vibrancy was exactly what is needed in these dark times.
I’ve been painting and studying since i was six, I grew up watching my mother paint and my father was a famous artist in the region we grew up in, and I have to say this was beautifully executed. Now..... I must paint clouds!
Beautiful , but I would’ve liked tips on how and where to build form and use which colors to create depth... and how to actually make it look like it’s glowing.
coffeefrog make the sky darker than you want it to appear then make the clouds lighter. If you have cheap acrylic paints you can try adding neon orange (idk how well that will work so be careful)
Edit:forgot to mention that you can also see a bit of a dark outline around the clouds. If you can blend that out, but keep it there that can also raise contrast.
The result is so beautiful, I really love it. It's so magical
Your passion for painting and the ease of explaining your steps is really remarkable. Great job.
Why does when I write on UA-cam oil paintings it only shows me Tacky bullshit and sometimes out of nowhere it suggests me amazing channels like this that I had no idea they existed!
Please do more easy tutorials like this. It's both inspiring and relaxing to watch 🥰🥰🥰
That waiting part is so true. And Prussian blue is my favourite blue too!
i love the way youre letting the brush strokes look through in the finished pieces. By the way, didn't expected such an enjoyable voice - this video lesson is an pleasure. Thank you for this.

I am so grateful for your talent, your sharing of your philosophies, and the time and effort you put into your videos. I myself do not and have not painted portrait-style pieces but you have really inspired me to try! I want tackle those skin tones! Thank you so much for the wonderful humor you infuse into your videos also.
I learned oil painting from watching UA-cam videos and I continue to learn something new every time I listen to one of your productions.
Cool guy, nice voice, beautiful painting, good explanations, awesome puffy glowing clouds, hell yeah, watching this was time well spent.
This is the only art tutorial I've done that turned out great, this was really easy to me, although I wasn't using oil, I was using gouache and acrylic. 💛
"trust me, you're not going to fail."
me: *on the verge of giving up because my painting looks horrible* okay then
Fantastic. I'm really struggling with clouds, and I think this will help quite a lot. The bit where you zoom in and are applying tiny bits of paint to little parts of a cloud are particularly helpful.
You have a good one, too. 10/10.
I really really enjoyed you talking about the clouds and how u felt about painting clouds. Beautiful and wholesome. Keep it up!
I’ve wanted to know how to paint clouds like that for so long!! You made it look so easy 😩😩😩
I love the sound of your voice. Your videos have kept me sane. Thank you.
Thanks for the compliment 😊🙏
Beautiful. Just gorgeous! The colours you have used here are stunning. Thank you so much for this video. 🥰❤️❤️❤️
I tried this, with really tacky cheap paint and lo and behold it worked and it looked almost as amazing as yours. Thanks this was an amazing tutorial.

Brilliant, there are those like you who are able to mimic life to a tee with your art.... but at some point it becomes indistinguishable from a photo. So, people don’t appreciate it for what it is. Amazing....
All hail the glow cloud🙇♀️
