ISP's "the tree's aren't ready yet" comment was surprising to me. I didn't know he was aware of how fucked Denmark was after the Napoleonic Wars. Denmark was down to 2%-3% forest in the whole country. So fucked. Denmark's forest has rebound though to over 20% today, but we've lost a lot of indigenous sorts like certain type of birch. RIP.

Also funily enough, due to these loses the government ordered hundreds of oak planted. Denmark is incredibly easy to play lmao. you just build lvl 10 forts in these two provinces, get an army that can defend from naval invasions (easy) and you're golden lmao. Norway is even easier

Yeah, it would be cool if he takes a few of the nations that he thinks would be boring and just bring someone else in to make it more entertaining. This was one of my favorite isp videos in a while and that's mainly because it's just two friends hanging out and playing a game they like/hate.

Ah yes, 1685, the year when it became legal to beat the shit outta swedes with sticks if they crossed the ice. Fun fact; It is still legal! Excellent piece of legislation for a happier Scandinavia(Swedes opinion do not count :3)
The Niels Juel ship is even funnier than I thought. It was like the flagship of the Danish fleet, but was just used for training and as a yacht for the royals. During the German occupation and takeover of the Danish navy, the Danes tried to take the ship to Sweden to prevent the Germans from getting it, but the Germans started bombing it. Then the Danes ran it aground to desperately prevent the Germans from getting it, but the Germans were able to refloat it several months later. Then THEY used it as a training ship, and scuttled it in May 1945 out of spite to make sure the Danes didn't get their precious ship back. Then in 1952, the Danes sold the wreck to a German salvage company.
This felt like Bo and Isorrow just hanging out and having a good time.

Originally Niels Juel was to have two single 12" (305mm) guns, mounted in turrets fore and aft. Started before WWI, the war delayed her a lot. After the war, as she was still incomplete, it was put forward that she be converted into a ferry or cargo ship(!) but eventually a sort of compromise was reached and she was completed as training cruiser, with an extra deck to accomodate everything, and an armament of 5.9" (149.1mm) guns.
Some of her guns survive at Bangsbo Fort, worth the trip if you're in the area.
The infantry and artillery expert guys can both work at the same time. You just have to have both infantry and artillery both make up greater than a certain percentage of the division. I think they both work in a 5 inf 3 art division. Australia has both a Inf genius and an Art expert so you can get +30% to both attack and defense.
That's pretty silly, but cool. It is going away in No Step Back though.

3000 hours on hoi4 and i always thought artillery expert improved my 14-4s and 7-2s. My life has been a lie
When ISP Does not understand that HoI4 is accumulative bonuses now, its no longer about how much you have in your division, its just stacking bonuses, the artillery genius still works but only for the artillery brigades and support company, it also works for SPG which is funny as hell.

The artillery genius is actually pretty good for a country with a small population, like Denmark. Unfortunately, Denmark doesn't have tungsten, so it works better for Greece, who has an artillery expert, but the idea is that you go superior firepower L/R. You almost never go L on the first path with superior firepower, but then you make divisions that are 4/4 or 8/8. Despite being "even", the division does count as an "artillery division", and therefore gets the benefits of that military high command advisor. This division will have absurd soft attack, and will be able to melt any infantry defense, basically acting as a poor man's tank, and it has the benefit of requiring less manpower than a 7/2 or 14/4. The only downside is that it has low defense, no armor, and it's breakthrough isn't nearly as high as a tank division (but still not bad).
It's great for chewing through minors. Kinda sucks hard vs a major, because tanks will just roll over it, but yeah, you do what you can :p
I looked up "Do it for Denmark" and the reason for Denmark's low birthrate is actually really sad.
Downloaded the mod after seeing you guys play, it’s pretty fun, though in my first run I messed up and invaded Sweden first and Germany took Norway :(

Awful jokes aside, I was laughing my ass off the entire game, not only because of you guys getting in each other’s way, as well as all the dumb names and what not; but also because of how stupid all of it was. Seriously, HOI4 is definitely the greatest work of fiction of the 21st century. Denmark going monarchy and annexing all of Scandinavia with fucking rats, and then going on to fucking conquer Japan in 1942 and Germany in 1943, all while the south of Europe (specifically Yugoslavia) was a fucking mess. Man this game is truly amazing.
Honestly is a shame you guys didn’t continue, the could war would have being a mess, specifically if it turn hot. I imagine something like Denmark nuking... fucking Nigeria with WW1 biplane bombers of some shit, or invading the US with the help of Canada and using pre-dreadnoughts arm with missiles XD
