KM International Portable Infrared Asphalt Heater: Is the way to go during cool or even colder weather conditions. Said it was 20 degrees on the day they shot this video, I rest my case regarding the use of infrared to pr-heat asphalt in cold conditions for maximum adhesion.
if I understand the question right and you are working a multiple heat pothole. You will always have to add more asphalt to bring the repairs up to grade so you should never end up with a depression or below grade. Training on the equipment is critical and covers technique and "if you don't have a hot box/reclaimer to give virgin asphalt to the repair you are going to have depression. Any time you heat asphalt you are cooking the oils. You need to use a rejuvenator that will replenish the oils and offer "new life" to the patch. please feel free to contact me @kminb.com cliff
+Derek Storkel We also manufacture the KM T-2 Asphalt Millings Recycler. The T-2 recycles left over millings or asphalt chunks into plant quality HMA year round. The T-2 will produce 4 tons an hour. Or you could always bulk store virgin mix while the plants are open and reclaim that material in a KM hotbox reclaimer.
Can it repair a walkway
