Well, you gotta admit sometimes he just doesn't do some few themes well, example the bizarre so-called "Music" from Chucky or the new version from the Alien, man, at this last one the PTB version was far superior and with this theme, is decent, except for the layer 3, it sounds really weird
My only complaint is that he’s inconsistent. Sometimes he releases straight up bangers and then he releases ear garbage like the original ghost face chase music which was changed like four times
The ascending and descending of the violins perfectly convey panic and that is absolutely perfect. While the trumpet/trombone is showing the ferocity of what they are dealing with. They captured both panic and fear perfectly in this with very little.
Those violins at layer 3 hit me like a brick but this theme is actually pretty good, I like all the instruments when the actual chase starts, definitely feels like an overpowering theme, fitting for Vecna.

With the first and second layers being extremely creepy and the actual chase layer being pretty good like I wouldn’t say it’s top tier but I’d say it’s a very solid A tier around the same level as like Chucky and Unknown. I really love the frantic flutes and violins along with the solider march esc drums which make it feel like an entire band of undead bards are marching behind Vecna playing a death march in order to cause even more panic for the survivors like I really like it. My biggest criticism is that it has a problem that Nurse’s chase theme has where the first two layers and the chase theme sync together perfectly but the third layer feels disconnected like its meant for a different song entirely. But on the bright side, the third layer is absolutely terrifying sounding with the screeching violins and frantic organ? (Idk what instrument it is) making it sound extremely stressful sounding in a very good way where it creates immediate panic that oh shit Vecna is here I have to run now. But like I said, it feels very disconnected from the rest of the layers so I’d suggest that Michel take the second layer and impose it under the third layer so it feels much more connected and fluent. But overall I’m definitely liking what I’ve heard so far. Also the menu theme slaps extremely as well but he always strikes gold with the menu themes so I don’t need to discuss it as much as the chase theme. In conclusion, common Michel F. April W for the most part besides the third layer needing improvement.

Honestly the best dark fantasy music for the game. It even has the best chase music for a character like him without it sounding out of place in the game. I think this has enough ambiance to make him menacing and haunting and making him stand out as a fantasy villain too, sounds so so good and I take back what I said on it being just good. It’s amazing!
Crazy, layer 3 sounds like a violin, but layer 4 sounds like a hurdy gurdy, pretty good way to creep out the ears, because they can sound similar, but are pretty different instruments. Neat!

But with the overall dark atmosphere. It feels hard, or worse, the bard is only making this sound even scarier. As if its trying to awaken every beast and monster that lives in this place. Layer 3: The Bards Music has shrivelled your mind. You are being attacked left and right. But you fellow adventurer are useless against this swarm of danger. So you dropped your weapons and run. Spells left and right, traps activated and hell let loose, monsters directing at you and your fellow mates. Layer 4: You fallen into despair, with your last might, your try to outrun the danger that seeks you. Unfortunately, you and your team decided to stumble upon the worse Necromancer Alive. Vecna. The sheer terror of his quiet ensemble has ruined your ears from the sweet sound of music. Its gone, Your mates are dead, and you are the last one left. You do your best with your constitution to outrun this monstrosity.
Now I can tell my family they put Dungeons and Dragons in a horror game feat. Freddy Krueger and Michael Myers and The Demogorgon Stranger Things Edition
I love the scraping groans in the 32 meter theme, the discordant notes of the string instrument in the 16 meter, the sharp transition into 8 meters I think is a bit much (but still suitably dreadful)
The only issue here imo is layer 3. It goes from this creepy yet… almost classy beat. To just utter chaos that is so grating on the ears… chase and layers 1 and 2 are perfection~
