Nuke is a fascinating disc. Mostly because I have never thrown two which have the same flight path. I have seen them so overstable they would not be straightened out, and so understable, they'd roll no matter what hyzer you put on them. And everything in between.
So, the best idea is never to fall in love with a Nuke, because you won't ever be able to replace it. That's what I found, and it's one reason I don't throw Discraft.

This is the best in the bag I've ever seen. Everything I want to know, follow flight, and to the point. Also, like everyone else, I am surprised there is no Buzzz, but I know it comes down to personal preference. I love the Buzzz and Buzzz SS combo, using a Zone, Firebird, Destroyer for my overstable shots.

Cool in the bag :) Love to see that Ringer, Hornet, Mantis and Nuke in there :D I do prefer the Ringer-GT, in both X Soft and Z FLX :D People are starting to discover the Ringers for sure! The Zone is so well known for the approach spot, so the ringers can get overlooked, but they compliment each other so well :D
Ringer looked like it had an awesome flight. I'm sure I'll buy one and it won't fly remotely close to that.

The mantis was the shocker, i bag 3 in different stages. Very underrated disc, i could definitely attack any line with a mantis and my trusty z comet.

That was great idea to start calling these go-to discs so that people searching for in the bag won't find em! priceless!
Looks like a perfect mix. I see some people carrying around carts or bags with like 30-40 or more discs. That's just overkill if you ask me. Nothing wrong with owning a ton of discs but you don't need every disc you own with you at all times. I recommend whenever throwing over water that you think you MIGHT not make it across to have with you a disc or 2 to use that you don't care if you lose it. Nothing worse than losing a dope disc that you love.

Hole in my bag: Straight distance driver. I lost a GStar Boss and then lost an old 4x destroyer, both of which were fantastic max distance straight drivers, useful forehand and backhand, real workhorse discs. I would be down to try a zeus, out of respect for discraft's innovation with paul lately. Problem is, my school's club gets a deal with innova so I'm sticking to the discount plastic for now. (Appalachian State)

Raptors are a great disc
I like the simplicity. Do you carry just one copy of the discs when you play, so like 13 discs total? I have a similar bag setup - OS/Straight/US in Drivers and Fairways, two mids, then all Zones for approach (Z/ESP) and putting (Soft/ProD).

Maaan, you got them flat z ringers?! Money, bro. I have only come across slightly domey premium ringers. I was kind of expecting more flat like the base but they still fly good. Little more turn and still have good fade but I don't throw like Paul lol

How do the 2020 tour series raptors compare to the other runs? I bag a first run Z-line which is pretty beefy and a 2019 tour series that is actually pretty straight.
Does Paul have a signature Nuke? Cause watching his rounds, it's one of the most impressive things to watch is him just HANDLING lines with bomb distance with the Nuke.

Is the Mantis understable in windy conditions? I currently use the Ti Undertaker which I can throw flat in any wind. Wondering how those two compare. Thanks!

How does the glo rubber blend plastic for the ringer gt affect its flight ?
Hey Paul so I've mostly used Innova forever I wanna try some discraft though can you tell me what would be the plastic types that compare to innovas plastic types?
DX- pro d. XT- Jawbreaker. Pro- X/elite x. Discraft special (what the Luna comes in) is similar to yeti pro. R Pro - x soft. Gummy champ- Z FLX. Champion- Z/Elite Z/Crystal/CryZtal/tour Z swirl/Big Z. Metal flake- cryZtal sparkle. Star- ESP/Tour ESP swirl. G star- FLX ESP. Titanium is kinda weird though. It’s similar to shimmer star but a bit different feel. Also glow champ is Z glo. I don’t think I forgot any but feel free to correct me
When you talk about “beating in” a disc, I am wondering how that happens. For instance, I want my new z mantis to be able to flip over from hyzer, go right a little bit, then fade left. I’m finding I have to release it at a straight angle out of my hand in order to get that line. Any tips? Thanks!
Mostly it takes time, by hitting objects, the ground, baskets, for it to be beat in and become less stable. That’s why the discs that take several years to get that perfect beat in stability are so precious.
@@kennethsmith6530 Gotta find a favorite tree and just smash it a few times. I've also known people that will "accidentally" chuck something too overstable into the parking lot. A nice slide along the asphalt will do wonders.
So if you had to compare the Raptor to the predator, what would it be? more stable? less? longer? shorter? I currently bag 2 predator. and I would like to see if the Raptor replaces one of them.
I've thrown both and they flie very similar, only differ9I would say is the Raptor is a little more overstable

Ohh btw i already have a buzzz and a nuke ss on my shopping list. Im not so sure if the nuke ss is so great though.
@@mcrontti0513 IMO start with a buzzz SS instead of the regular; it'll get you a straighter flight and more distance. As your power increases and the SS starts to go right, add a regular buzzz to the bag! A heat or avenger SS will probably suit a newer arm better than the nuke ss. And buy a zone; never too early to start working those hyzer flick approaches.

One of my favorite players, hooray!!! Throwing one of my least favorite manufacturers, ughh. I'll support Uli forever, but can't bring my self to buy anything from Discraft. Maybe I'll get a sig disc of his just cause. But I think I'd rather setup an additional 100 youtube accounts and like and subscribe to his channel with all of them instead. Uli has the best tutorials, best commentary, best videos, and is a hell of player. However, since Discraft is actively forcing Brodie on the world of disc golf, they get no money from me. Love ya Paul!
