    The poor sportsman punk, Harris deserved to be disqualified; when the punk realized that his ass had been passed by not one (1) but two (2) other runners, the punk purposefully moved over to lane two and held his arm out, in an attempt to try and hold off Jewett and anyone else, who was going to pass him. When his legs, stamina, ability and character failed him, he resorted to his right arm. Though I know nothing about him, I am delighted that he didn't make the team.

    HARRIS should be DISQUALIFIED as he cut over onto Jewett’s path and pretended it was not his fault. Watch the video and every time you see it.

    Wow, Jewett would have passed him before the finish if he had not veered wide to block Jewett, but Harris wants to act like he was the one who was wronged? He entered the final straight on the inside of lane one and crossed the finish line trying to push out into lane three. I don't know anything about either athlete, but that was really classless by Harris.

    Harris clearly ran off his line in the last 20m. The head on shows he was in lane 1 and moved out into the path of Jewitt and also putting his arm across Jewitt in the final strides. He actually crossed the line in lane 3 falling in front of Jewitt to make sure Jewitt couldn't beat him. It's a DQ for me.

    He just lost his chance to go to the Olympics, and at his age probably the last chance in his career. People don’t understand the emotions he was probably feeling in the moment

    His dream to become an OLYMPIAN is just over at that moment. It looks like just shocked, overwhelmed. He might be rude, but I don't blame his attitude. Cosidering his age, yes, next Olympic is possible, but surely more difficult challenge.

    Harris is a baby ...Immature ,Classless . Jewett in my opinion needs a coach that actually can teach him STRATEGY

    Not sure why the guy in the orange shirt wouldn't shake the other guy's hand, since it was he who played dirty putting his arm out to prevent the other runner from passing him at the line.

    You can learn a lot about someone on how they handle defeat.

    Yes, bad sportsmanship. Harris drifted out and impeded Jewett. I'm ashamed of myself for clicking on this post for its juicy headline. I attended Oregon22 and had a blast. I filmed every race I could (only the starts, parts and ends of the distances) from the second tier at the top of the homestretch. I like your vantage point better. You get to see and hear everyone be nervous then exhausted closeup. I was in the SRO section a lot. Actually, I was all over that stadium once I realized we weren't chained to our seats. Great clips.

      They were both drifting, Harris was moving out and Jewitt was moving in, neither one is really at fault there. But, I agree, it's poor form not to take the hand, at least he gave a half-ass pat on the back when they were walking away from each other.

    He should be disqualified because he used his hand to block the other runner.

    Harris intentionally made contact at the line with his hands. It wasn't because of being previously hit. He did it out of frustration for being boxed-in and overtaken on the outside. Harris' reaction to someone else having a better strategy and position was to physically attack (with his flailing meant to make it appear it was due to a collision or some accident). Harris has become the Draymond Green of track. He should be suspended for a year by USTAF. Harris was in no way a victim here, but rather is a classless instigator, poor sport, and shit actor. This should never happen in a track race. This should not be tolerated. It is worse than cheating because it involves assault.

    It appears like poor sportsmanship by Harris. While Jewett is clearly a class act.

      Very clearly bad sportsmanship. He sat on the ground , looked at Jewett and shook his head no, like "nah, bro, I'm not shaking your hand". Everybody is tired at the end and his "pat him back" was more of a "get out of the way".

    Jewitt is constantly pushing and causing drama and lots of guys are sick of him! Jewitt starts his kick in lane 4 then pushes in to lane 2 then makes contact with Harris....i don't blame him for not shaking his hand.

    • @weyde1
      @weyde1 2 місяці тому +6

      You must have watched a different race. Jewett moved over from lane 3 (not 4) to lane 2, which is what he is allowed to do. He did not cut anyone off, or impede anyone's progress. Harris tried moving over to lane 2, while trying to hold Jewett off, with his right hand, causing him to fall to track. He is a punk, who shows poor sportsmanship. If Harris had had the strength, speed and stamina to hold on to first place, none of this would have happened; he has no one to blame but himself.hem both

      What are you watching. In the last 60m Harris moves from lane 1 to crossing the nearly into lane three while sticking his arm out. Jewitt ran a clean race. Harris is immature and unsportsmanlike. No one impeded him.
