- An INSANE comeback from Bullis School in the high school boys 4x400m prelims at the 2024 Penn Relays presented by Toyota. Bullis School fell to the track on the lead-off leg, but sophomore Quincy Wilson took the team from sixth to first on the anchor leg and split 44.37. Bullis School would win the heat in 3:14.
44.37 is the fastest 4x400m split ever recorded at the Penn Relays.

Absolutely insane to see in person. Everyone in the stadium was losing their minds
I wish I was ther.... I go every year and I missed this year
.next year I'm definitely in there
I was there too. I was talking smack to the Jamaicans beforehand, all in fun. When the lead fell I could not believe it. Each Bullis kid held their own, didn’t run outside themselves. Quincy!? Speechless. One of the most amazing things I have ever seen in track in person.
Ridiculous, but they must be disqualify as the baton drop and leave the lane. There is no way they are in the final .
I bet those people wanted to crap their parents. His parents are probably losing their minds every time he steps on the tracks. If he does not make the US team, just trying out for the team will be huge deal for him and his family. I hope he gets some national exposure if he makes it or even tries out for the team. That would be so insane if he makes it. The Steph Curry of track and field. He looks like he is in middle school. ha.
@@respectbigman3133They were legal, lanes no longer applied,.which led to the collision in the first place.
The best part of this is Dematha’s anchor congratulating Quincy at the end.
I said the same thing because that made him push and get the second place spot
@@aminaford3235 no lies told
Maryland boys 👏👏
I saw that too. That kid was yeah. I was part of this too. I saw it happening right before my eyes. That was nice.
Quincy definitely needs to be on the Olympics 4x400
Asap
It was crazy to see in person. Everyone stopped walking around and just watched the race. He is phenomenal!!
Quincy Wilson is the real deal. That anchor leg gave me chills.
Quincy is him! He proves you don’t need to have perfect form to run fast.
there is no such thing as perfect form. there is form that is wasteful and assymmetric, but different body types dictate what good form is for the individual.
At this level no, but as the level of competition increases the small differences start to stack up. He's a monster but he needs to improve his form or he won't be able to take the next step.
Christopher Morales the new world record holder for the 400m indoor, has similar form. That being said, there is always room for improvement. If Quincy breaks the world record, we may all be teaching kids to run like him.
Running form is in part THEORY. It is not an exact science. We'll recall that Larry James and Jim Ryan, -a sprinter and a miler- both had a head-rolling form and both were in the top 3 world best in their individual events.
@@georgehunter4547 Miles doesn't have similar form. His lower legs are in line with his hips, quincy is sloppy because he's 16 and isn't strong enough.
Quincy will not break the world record, he's good yes. But has a lot of growth before he takes that massive of a leap to even crack 43.
Noah Lyles who wants to run on the 4x4 in Paris won't run a faster split this yr than 16yr old Quincy Wilson!
I can see you are a huge Noah Lyles hater I mean fan.
Noah can have nothing to do with this and y’all still manage to bring him up everytime. Y’all just getting yourselves mad 😂
@@NaNcs777literally living rent free in their heads 😂
Your obsession of Noah Lyle’s is showing 😂
@@mertholomy8414 Most of these people commenting on Noah Lyles negatively probably ain't even worthy enough to carry his jock strap. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hope he doesn’t burn out for the Olympic trials I really want to see him make the relay pool at least
Yessss me too he will definitely dominate if he keep this up
Would be amazing if teenagers Quincy Wilson, JaMeesia Ford & Kaylyn Brown all made the 4x4/Mixed Relay Pools!
@@AllInTheGame01 As you know and I am sure you do that one just have to come in the top 6th to make the relay pool. It's not as easy as it sounds because the US is stacked with talent.
@@jassyl.2211 Wouldn't it be electric if his times just keep dropping and by the time we get to the US trials he will crack 43 secs? That would be so insane. If he does and make the team they would clearly need to start having him in the some of the US promos if he does look like he is in middle school. lol.
Not sure If his body is ready for 3 rounds of heats to run 44 seconds, but if he does that would be incredible to see.
Great job Quincy and your teammates for keeping their composure after that fall. Awesome job guys!! 👏🏾
That was EPIC!
INCREDIBLE. Best athlete of our lives right here. I am happy to start watching him this early. Keep you belts fastened folks...
Wow. This young man is a sophomore. Im impressed
Been watching that kid run since he was like 6 or 7 years old. At first I thought it was an anomaly and thought he would just peak out and become uninterested in the sport as time went on. He was like 6 yrs old beating 10 yrs olds. It was insane. Like he had no off button. I am sure his stamina is off the charts. Would make an awesome futbol player with all that stamina.
Nah this is the craziest comeback Ive EVER seen 🤯
Wow this has something special in him. Stay humble and hungry Quincy and the World will br yours.
Quincy Wilson is a nightmare on the track. Can’t wait for him to turn pro!!!!
Why?
facts
He could go pro in high school. Not sure if he actually can but I’m just saying he’s fast enough
This is why you never quit to its over lost my mind watching this kudos to all the runners😅
He did that!!!
Legendary! He's going on the Franklin Field wall with Obea Moore.
Another chapter in the making of a legend.
I was there and still struggling to get my arms around a 16 year old running that fast and knowing when to turn on the after burners!
To your journey!
❤️🖤💚🇦🇪
Sophomore Wow! He’ll be a future Olympian Superstar for sure! Incredible!!
am speechless. sensational not just him the whole team.
Awesome run fro Quincy.much love from jamaica
He could make the Olympic team, this year! Thats crazy!!
Quincy Wilson is unbelievably talented. 44.37...........damn!!!!!!!!
Crikey. Quincy has both heart & talent.
Great, come back, Bullis. Quincy Wilson, you did your thing and the young man that fell down but got back into the race. Great job, boys ❤
this kid is nuts, I fully expect to be seeing him dominating in world class events soon
Unreal comeback, but there are WAY too many teams running a relay at one time. Yeesh.
Agreed. Too many falls and pushing at the start. Thats not track in my opinion. Many falls. Surprised no serious injuries.
There were 40 heats, if they didn't do this there would have been 80 heats, the event would have taken 5 hours.
@@mixa7039 would two less teams each team extend it that much?
@@StudentAthletes2000 Sometimes I wonder if all these falls are not as coincidental contacts as it seems? Of all the runners and the favorite team in heats this kid is the one who takes the tumble. Track and field can be very chippy as well. I've lean long distance runners get into squirmishes.
I love this kid
Quincy is an amazing talent and definitely will merit consideration for the 4x400 relay pool at the Olympics should he perform well at the Trials.
Wow...I am a Jamerican and all I can say is Wow 👌 👏 😍 👍
Unc & Ocho from nightcap, brought me here...
I was there n I was in awe I had to watch it again … he is special
Am I the only one wondering why there are 48 teams running a 4x400 relay at the same time? 😂
$$$$$$$$$$$$ ...... that's why
Great seeing Mushette High who did well at Champs as well
That was crazy. Hats off to this young man.
Q U I N C Y ‼Q U I N C Y‼Q U I N C Y ‼🤩💪🏾
Wow!! I thought Yohan Blake ran the fastest split in 2007 against Bryshon Nellum in a fantastic race but 44.37??? That is strong!! Blake, I think ran a 44.6.
Omg you are a BEAST on the track Congratukation Quincy I’m a true fan!!!!! Wow
Young goat 🐐
you have got one of the most exciting 400m runners and where was the camera pointing? what a travesty we never got to see the beginning of the comeback.
What in the world did I just watch? Phenomenal anchor!
Wow! I'm speechless...this was EPIC...AND he ran on the outer lane.
Definitely going to break the 400m WORLD record in by senior year
He is going to be something to watch the upcoming years.
Unbelievable!!
Here's the thing. He didn't split 44.37 at 400m, he split 44.37 running some distance greater than 400m. HE HAD TO PASS MULTIPLE PEOPLE IN LANE 2 OR 3!!!! He actually ran 402-405m in 44.37!!!
After those first few videos, I'm avoiding watching too many so I don't burn my self out on this guy. If his athletic improvement is commensurate with his physical maturation, he should be bonkers by, I don't know, the Olympic Trials? Talk about the sky being the limit and it's not like the other high school sprinters are slow this year. I'm retired and happy to pay for streaming services and PPV and subscriptions to support and enjoy this sport for the quality of the athletes at all levels and watching all the athletes trying their best. What life's about. I'm 66 and -- knock on wood -- in perfect health and great shape and feel like being able to watch all this great track is my reward for still being around.
ive been following track since the late 1970s and i cant recall a more prodigious talent in my lifetime...and that includes Armand Duplantis...the noise from the crowd was incredible. a sub 44.4 leg on a 300m track at age 16 years and 4 months...WTH?!
This was so incredibly amazing to see in person!!! I'm still recovering my voice!
That was actually crazy... 🤯
He’s that guy!!!!! 🥵🥵
Why is it so much people running on the track for a 4x400
It's Penn Relays
@@terraflow__bryanburdo4547they could’ve at least organized it correctly
That boy... is a BEAST! Noah Lyles...
BE AFRAID! BE VERY VERY AFRAID!
Put him on the Olympic team now!
Insaneeeee❤❤❤🔥🔥🔥🔥
This kid is unreal.
Wow great split Quincy
Fantastic run 🏃 by Quincy
The next great Ameican 400, 200, 200 meter great. Wow.
He needs a spot on the team in Paris 😂😂
That was insane 🤯
Crazy!!!
Insane!
Lord that was wonderful and spectacular.
That was crazy!!
Awesome determination!
THIS guy! 🤯
If only they could've crammed a few more teams into that heat.
is a 44.5-44.6 for the 400 on the cards this year?, i honestly think he might the ability to quicker than the times i listed. and how do you think he compares to Christopher Taylor of Jamaica when he was the same age.
That was a machine!!
Why would meet officials have 400 people running together in a sprint track event 🤔 stupid structuring
Wretch and recover!🎉🎉🎉 give him his flowers🎉
What an immense talent! Can't wait to see the finals!
He did that!!
Great anchor legs 🔥🔥🔥
No where you from you just have to applaud this kid, hope he becomes another Bolt and not fall along the way like so many young talented 400m runners.
Unbelievable!!!🎉🎉🎉
I’m mad at the camera person! Why didn’t the director tell the camera person to zoom out since the focus would be on Quincy.
Straight up chariots of fire. 🔥
Thats crazy!😮
My glorious king
No
It is THE SPIDER ERIN BROWN himself 😍
Oh dear. What a comeback. When that front runner took off on the last lap, I thought it was all over. Wow.
Go Bullis ❤
Holy shite!!!!
Okay Quincy- like last year, we will see you in the finals !!🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
Jamaica better have a 40 meter lead😂😂😂
He was a freshman last year
@@ianjones252💯🤣✊🏿💪🏿👑🇺🇲

GREAT LEG QUINCY!

I knew from the start the outcome...yet seeing is believing...WOW
Wild!!!
44.37 is insane
Bullis dropped thr baton and Qunicy really turned the entire race around. That was an incredible feat
Homeboy did call that 44 right after that fall happened! That’s just as impressive to me
Nice run
Unreal.
