I’m not even sure how to pronounce it, because it’s named after a Tutu the ballet thing, and the pronunciation should be French, so basically „Tütü“, it’s like Guardevoir wich has to be pronounced French too to make sense.
As a German, I 100% agree + I think its super adorable how both of them try their hardest to pronaunce german and fail misserably. xD I love it! 🥰

English is a Germanic based language. Thats why school is spelled with an sch because in german its Schule. I took german for 8 years in school and this video physically hurt me.
Also words like „Kindergarten“ are just took from German (translated it would be like „Childgarden“ or „Childrengarden“ or something like this) there are many more, also some people say „halt“ in English sentences and that just means something like stop and I didn’t know that it’s an English word
As a German, I have to say you got a lot of the ones that have the same name in English, but for legendary that's the case in most Languages, but you did get one of the funnier ones with Flatutu

I think this could also be fun with German abilities. Abilities are more wordy so they’re a bit easier to guess.
As someone learning German, I have to say that German Pokemon names are some of my favorites! Learning the etymology of their names has actually expanded my vocabulary so much!

I'm not cringing, I love seeing such content. Especially the pronunciations. But I'm always thinking if it would be even more difficult with the correct pronunciation, especially for the ones that are the same or very similar in English and German.
Maybe next time invite some German Subs (like me) that read the German Name for you :)

Most legendaries are named the same throughout a lot of languages. They are actually the japanese names

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think Pokémon have Polish names. They have English, German, French, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, Italian and Korean, but not Polish.

Why should „Furienblitz“ be a fire type? Blitz means lighting. The name translates to „Lightning of the furies“, and of course it’s an electric type.

You pronounced these horribly wrong: Ganovil, Donnersichel, Piepi, Krawell😁All others (not considering the english accent) were quiete accurate. Unfortunately almost all (if not all) legendaries have no own german name. Doing this with abilities in german would be more challenging🤣

If you're trying to pronounce the word "deutsch" try doing it "do-eetsch". That should get you a lot closer xD (I grew up German/English bilingual). That being said, this video is insanely funny to watch when you know both languages. I think it would be cool, if you got someone who could pronounce the names the way they're supposed to sound, if you repeat this. It might make it harder or maybe easier to guess the Pokemon (Patinaraja would have probably been easier as it's actually similarly pronounced to Copperajah). Who knows? :)
Personally, I think it would probably be funnier without Legendaries, as most of them have the same name across all languages. It would also make the battle later on more exciting imo.
PS: I really like Koalelu's (Komala's) German name. It's made up of 'Koala' and 'La Le Lu', which is the title of a German lullaby for children.
Also PS: The "Sichel" part of "Donnersichel" would be closer to a literal translation to English "Sickle" tho it's a sound that you don't really have in English :)

That's not White Kyurem's German name. It's actually called "Weißes Kyurem". What you wrote on the thumbnail actually means dragons, kite, vixen, battleaxe and hang-glider.
Why are they so surprised the legendaries have the same name in German and English? EVERY real legendary has the same name in every language (maybe not in Chinese and Korean). That's because Legendaries have a important and heavy role in the lore and are mostly named by Deities or other ways so their names are basically protected in every language. Note that I mean the REAL legendaries, so box legendaries or the third part of the trio. Not sub Legendaries like the three birds, the Regis, the Knights of Honor etc
edit: Even some of the Pokémon that are not legendary like Vulpix or Altaria have the same name because their name core is made from either Japanese words or Latin words. German and English are both Germanistic languages which is why they have many similar written or sounding words. It‘s not German being lazy 😅 (which makes no sense because neither German nor English are the original language for the games so none of the two stole from each other.)

As a german its alwaya hilarious to watch english speakers try to pronounce pokemon in my language xd even if a fair amount of them had the same name as in english here, which to be fair is usually the case for legendary pokemon in all languages which is kinda lame.
Also, little tipp for future for "knapfel", in german "KN" at the start doesnt silence the "K". Name also translates to "crackly apple" or something similiar as a fun sidenote.

English is a Germanic language so there being so many overlaps is understandable. Also, w is pronounced like v and if it is ei it is pronounced I if it is ie it is pronounced E (from my understanding and I'm only in German 2 not a native German speaker at all)
