I did end up sending it back after finishing filming, unfortunately I had to cover the postage cost though. And a week later I'm still chasing for a refund...
I’m so think I’m that much of a snob HOWEVER, that quality seems on par with a Harley Benton, but you can’t make the excuse of it being a budget guitar. Idk as long as it plays and sounds good is all that matters (also yes a 7 string V in that finish would be amazing) But in saying that I think this should still be applauded because of all the firsts that are here, they just need to iron out the kinks and these will be solid
I mean on paper this thing is a killer offering. £949 for top specs and a decent gigbag included. Just a shame this one clearly left the factory in a state.
I was worried when the crackle Rhoads guitars were made in china at $1400 with no case. After owning the crackle Kelly that's made in China and the Marty Friedman Mirror, I say the factory that they're making these guitars in, know what they're doing. The quality is higher than Jackson's Indonesian factory and they feel better to play too.
Jackson listen to this man re: flying V in this colour with reverse headstock. For 1000 pounds it should have polished frets. The slight sharp edges can happen in shipping around the world sure but that sandpaper thing is not cool.
At this point, I don’t care about fret ends anymore. I played one of the American Series Soloist SL3s and it was really good, but the American made Virtuoso series was really bad, the frets were shockingly bad for a $2000 guitar.
Yeah they need to start making them back in Mexico or Japan they are higher quality and better put together I think they're getting made out of the same factory as the ltd's quality is definitely down I had some ltd's and they were all over the place the once made in Korea we're the best ltd's
Don't know about Jackson/Fender but I've heard Epiphone actually 100% owns it's Chinese factory. Could be why the Chinese Epiphones I've played have been decent.
When you ran you hand io and diwn tge neck in the beginning, i could hear how dry the neck was. The frets not being polished enough is a huge turn off. 1k dollars should not have to have these issues. For 1k ill go to warmoth and spec out a way superior guitar. Thanks anyway
jackson guitars have always been just disappointing for me especially the price to performance ration was never any good imo, maybe they are really trying to do something better right now 🎸🎸
I've definitely seen a lot more QC issues since the Fender takeover but I actually like what they are doing with the current lineup. Classic Guitars with modern specs. The 7 String Ash Dinky I reviewed was great.
Send the guitar back this is quite clearly a B stock guitar and a very bad one at that get your money back straight away. Get a Jackson X Adrian Smith for £469 and forget about the trouble.
Awesome demo! Well done! I just subscribed to your channel.
Welcome and thanks!
If that were mine Id be sending it right back and the company would be paying the postage

Terrific very honest review
Thanks man checkout the full review video I released a couple weeks after this one for a complete review.

@@GuitarCinemaOfficial I wholeheartedly agree! I just wish the QC was a bit better, and I LOVE the blue finish so much

I didn't know that crackle Rhoads was also from there!
You just talked me out of trading my Ltd h 1008 for one of these. I’ll be getting a schecter KM7
Almost got one. Thanks to this video's QC ..i'd give it a skip! 😊

This colour, direct mount humbuckers. No nonsense hipshot bridge. That Jackson reverse headstock. Take my money!

yikes. my 300 Euro Harley Benton had the same issues with the unpolished stainless steel frets but everything else is waaaaay better.
Indeed the £399 Harley Benton Fusion I reviewed on the channel was exactly the same with the Frets but totally forgivable for that price!

"Hand Oiled" the neck is according to Jacksons website. 🤷♂️
@@GuitarCinemaOfficial by hand lol
For that kind of money id rather get a used Korean made LTD, or just save a bit longer and get one brand new.
I have literally never played a bad Korean LTD and tried maybe 10 different models at this point.
jackson guitars have always been just disappointing for me especially the price to performance ration was never any good imo, maybe they are really trying to do something better right now 🎸🎸
same here, just overpriced and much less technical innovative compared to other compareable brands like schecter and ltd for example
The MJ series represents pretty good value for money. Made in Japan and roughly the price of an equivalent LTD, £1600 ish for a dinky.
I've definitely seen a lot more QC issues since the Fender takeover but I actually like what they are doing with the current lineup. Classic Guitars with modern specs. The 7 String Ash Dinky I reviewed was great.
I couldn't bring myself to spent 1k + on a chinese guitar. Bought a Kiesel instead, fair bit more but the value is ridiculous.
Kiesel seem like good value for a kind of Semi custom shop. I'd like to play one. Did you have to pay any import fees or are you US based?
@@GuitarCinemaOfficial It was 300 import fee for the UK!
@@resington Not bad, could be worse! Like the £180 customs charge I had to pay for a Solar X2.6 that would not stay in tune for love nor money! Lol
@@GuitarCinemaOfficial it's impossible to make a kiesel go out of tune haha, sorry bout that mate!
Indonesia is not china. It’s not Chinese it’s 🇮🇩 Indonesia , they’re not the same country.
Says Made in China on the back of the headstock??

They sent him the B stock because it’s for free dude didn’t even pay shipping say something 🤘🏻🩸🤘🏻 Jackson guitars🎸
If you want a true quality jackson guitar buy a older japanese made one al the rest is shit for me ...
Those 90's/2000's Japanese models were so good for the money!
im in canada and its crazy how much they want for an mj series now. be around 3000 after taxes
