Miquella is probably the final boss in ER's DLC, just cuz the duality blade in the game files, they had all set, even the lore being Miquella the only one capable of make Malenia's curse stop and being the only one capable of defeat his own curse (he fused with the Erd Tree), so probably we will have another ringed city DLC with a boss in the end of times
Orphan of Kos and Malenia are very closely tied for first. Ive never wanted to break my controller more than fighting those two 6 years apart. Orphan is just straight up relentless and barely gives you any time to get a hit in. Malenia has waterfowl, and holy shit her leeching to restore hp on damage dealt is just insanely hard.

The camera and the fact I didn’t think I could deflect that giant thing (it’s bigger than some of the buildings outside 😂) had me chasing him in circles booty smacking

On my first ds3 run ever, I beat the shit outta gael on my 2nd attempt I believe (been years now) but I died to midir more than 50 times, and I'm not exaggerating. Had to switch to a lightning bow build to beat that mf

Nah man the effort i needed to beat malenia and the fact it actually hasnt been enough to the point that I needed to cheese for the first time ever a boss, the way she feels so unfair to me even if i reached her in my first run with my dex arcane build(which was the best build to kill her), orphan of kos went down way easier than this bitch (or at least it did in front of my chikage🤷♂️)
To this day, I keep a backup of my Dark souls 2 save data just to fight fume knight. Might be one of the hardest bosses in that game, but man do i love fighting him
Dark Souls 2 is definitely not my favorite souls game, but I think Fume Knight might be my favorite boss (other than Ludwig) in the series. Love that fight, it’s half the reason I come back to DS2.

I think The Sword Saint fight was so fun that I didn't realize it was difficult, it was never frusterating and every loss felt like a reward to fight him again.
Technically malenia should have been a Sekiro boss, that was then discarded for unknown reasons, ofc she wasn’t named malenia and didn’t have a phase 2, but the moveset was the only thing that partially stayed, and that can be noticed especially in the way she moves and in the waterfall attack, wich is obviously something you could have used sekiro’s fast parry mechanics to deflect
Try four kings at ng+7. Once my greater magic barrier ran out one hit had me at like 10 hp. And their health pool is so big that I had to fight all 4 at once thanks to the timer.
Orphan of Kos is like my favorite boss fight. I mean, it feels fkn epic/magic fight that poor thing in the ocean where's no obstacles or bad camera angles, just u and ur skills against a monster.

Just enough to catch the right moment, and if the enemy hit you in the window of your invulnerability frames, you will get away with it. Positioning matters, however, this is more related to area attacks, and it will be more profitable to escape than to send spam rolls.

For orphan I suggest bloodtinge/skill build, just parry him. Same with malenia first stage, second dont parry unless it’s normal basic attacks.

I struggled more with Laurence the Last Vicar than Orphan of Kos. I feel like not many others feel the same.
Honestly I’ll die happy if I never have to fight orphan of kos again, even though when I finally beat him I did it only taking 1 hit, I never want to go through that stress and pain again.
