Remain Indoors that’s probably the best thing about them, other than the fact that they don’t write to please anyone but themselves. Each member Brings something equally unique and great to the band, and without one it wouldn’t be the same. Even with Nolly not going on tour anymore, he still contributes to the writing process. Periphery is Misha, Jake, Spencer, Nolly, Mark and Matt! 🤘legendary lineup
Spencer got so much better at singing after this. Argentina, 2019, I sang Lune with him and made intense eye contact for like 3 seconds that felt like eternity. He noticed I sang the whole set, both screams and cleans. let's just say that he was flawless and totally on fire. "You're shining and it shows"
I think the Seattle crowd made this show really special. It's not very often you can make out two audible harmonies, and being a part of that was something truly unique...
With the exception of there being no bass player, this is the ideal live show. Great chemistry between the guitarists, singer and drummer both giving it their all, the crowd knows how to clap in time, it's almost perfect. Just needs more Nolly
Shreyas Pai I just posted a comment about this but when they finished the show with it literally everybody I saw was tearing up and/or completely crying. Myself included
***** I dunno. I don't get out to concerts much. I was also at the VIP thing before though. Jake's and Mark's guitars are fucking rad. Especially Mark's 8 string.
Four Lights is my favorite instrumental song from them. I can't stand its epicness, if it somehow started playing anywhere I would headbang so bad, holy shit
I caught the first night of the tour in Ralegh. The encore they played there included 22 Faces, Four Lights, Stranger Things and Lune. Cant wait to see them again in Baltimore!
I never understand why in videos Spencer sounds so off key and not good. But live he just sounds incredible! Like when I saw them live he was spot on, every note, every song. But when i looked back at some of the videos he sounded off key i dont understand it and i went to college for audio engineering
Perception, since with higher and lower additionally generated harmonic frequencies that are phased out in a recording taken from a single point you lose some frame of reference to the performance. So some notes were more felt and in context live sounded much more musical. Especially in the low end.
Spencer was actually super sick that night. He barely made it through a few of the earlier songs because he was coughing so much. He still managed to do it during the parts in which it was instrumental only, so his performance was AWESOME besides that.
Saw them in Phoenix AZ and they didn't play four lights or stranger things:( Mr halpern broke his double bass pedal right before those songs so they only only played lune! Still one of the best shows I've ever seen though!
I missed them when they came to Detroit, luckily I saw them last year on the Juggernaut tour, such a fucking dope show, I love how much fun these dudes have when they play
Anybody know if they are still doing this as their encore now? Ive waited years to see periphery and am finally gonna get to see them in mid April. They gotta do this shit.
Well.... It is an encore. So they've already played an entire setlist before these songs. The problem with vocals, is that there's so many different things that can go wrong. I mean, more then drums/guitar/bass. Its apart of the human. There's many different conditions you have to take into account. One, using it an entire night. Two, singing 10/11/12/13/14 songs as Periphery does. And then adding an extra 3 songs onto the end of that. So honestly, you can't blame Spencer.
Smithysmithin i wasn't blaming him at all. he's a phenomenal live vocalist. just a bit concerned, since some of these recent 2016 performances have sounded hoarse, and his high notes sound shot. falsetto and singing up to Bb4 sounds good still, just everything else.
Yeah, he was hella sick during the Seattle show. I saw him pounding back some sorta syrupy stuff in between songs. Poor dude. Still gave an amazing performance.
When I saw them in Portland most of the members were sick, mainly Misha and Spencer. They were only giving air fives during VIP and bundled up in hoodies. Tour life can be rough
It's nice seeing here how engaging Spencer is with the crowd, with newer shows the clips i've seen from them he doesn't do that anymore and doesn't even look at the crowd anymore but turns to the side and sings that way, i don't know what is up with him but it's strange.
What I've gathered from live shows is that Periphery fans are good at clapping in time.
as a certified periphery fan, i can confirm thats very true XD
What I love about these is there isnt any fixed attention on any member, they're all insanely talented, it's almost unfair
Remain Indoors that’s probably the best thing about them, other than the fact that they don’t write to please anyone but themselves. around 6:45 watch Matt. it'll fuck your eyes up
the light effects on matt at 6:40.. holy fucking shit that was trippy stuff
It makes me so happy to see the crowd actually managing to clap to 7/8 timing.
Skylark if there is no accent claps you can clap 4/4 over anything ;)
Except there is no accent so 7/8 is effectively the same as 4/4 in this case...
7/4
Pretty sure lune is 7/4, which I'd say is a lot easier, but yeah man this is a crowd of fellow music nerds.
Spencer got so much better at singing after this. Argentina, 2019, I sang Lune with him and made intense eye contact for like 3 seconds that felt like eternity. He noticed I sang the whole set, both screams and cleans. let's just say that he was flawless and totally on fire.
"You're shining and it shows"
did matt just take a periphery shirt and tear it to make it into a v neck XD
Yes I'm pretty sure he did
Deep V's bro
no vneck no matt :D
Lmaoooo
seriously never been into watching live show videos because it never sounds right. but man, i devour this like oxygen!
I think the Seattle crowd made this show really special. It's not very often you can make out two audible harmonies, and being a part of that was something truly unique...
During Lune, I mean.
I fucking loved this show, the crowd really was an awesome part of the experience
What was their set list?
You can search Periphery setlist into google and you can prob find it
Yeah the outro in lune was too awesome. Wish I could have went to this show.
I always come to watch 4 lights but always end up watching the whole thing. Thanks for the beautiful songs.
I miss Nolly in the live shows 😢😢😢.
Who was playing bass here? was it a track!?
yup, they are not sure on replacement.
hey wtf what happened with nolly, I'm I missing something?
TheUtgardian Channel He didn't want to be on the road. He works in the studio and records with the band but he doesn't tour with them anymore.
He has a family and can’t tour full time anymore
7:25-8:23 by far my favorite part of Stranger Things. That song is a masterpiece along with Lune
I was front row at this concert, and let me tel you, when they finished Lune, there was not a dry eye in that room. Stellar performance for sure
Best experience of my life...
Holy shit check Halpern at 6:40 with the lights flashing lmao. And giving Meesh the bird at 8:29. Love this band's chemistry
With the exception of there being no bass player, this is the ideal live show. Great chemistry between the guitarists, singer and drummer both giving it their all, the crowd knows how to clap in time, it's almost perfect. Just needs more Nolly
Sponce going for the homely as fuck look
Saw them in Utah. Honestly one of the best shows I've ever been to. They are amazing musicians.
Gotta love it when Matt looks right at you and then tosses a drum stick to you.
Misha and Mark have some serious bromance going on lol
Damn it! Lune makes me cry everytime! ;_;
Shreyas Pai I just posted a comment about this but when they finished the show with it literally everybody I saw was tearing up and/or completely crying.
Myself included
Their live shows must be stellar. The guitar tones are impeccable. amazing
I just saw them last week and they were so on. Pro level show and they headline for a reason.
Thanks for posting this! This was the bet show I've ever been too and the funnest night!
This is brilliant. Thanks for capping.
Best show I've been to in a while.
YOU'RE FUCKING EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!!!!
345ToxicNoxx345 Yep!
+Hank Hill You were in Seattle and I didn't see you?? Fuuuuck, I never go down to Arlen. When will I ever see you again??
*****
I dunno. I don't get out to concerts much. I was also at the VIP thing before though. Jake's and Mark's guitars are fucking rad. Especially Mark's 8 string.
Hank Hill I potentially walked right by you and didn't even know :(
Four Lights is my favorite instrumental song from them. I can't stand its epicness, if it somehow started playing anywhere I would headbang so bad, holy shit
what a marvelous night this was.
I caught the first night of the tour in Ralegh. The encore they played there included 22 Faces, Four Lights, Stranger Things and Lune. Cant wait to see them again in Baltimore!

audio quality?

Saw them in Portland. Fucking unbelievable performance
I was at that same show, sitting at a table near the bar, just taking in the music after moshing to SikTh \m/
Man can't wait till these guys come to the UK!
Hey you can see me at 10:28 crowd surfing!
James Kerr Oh so you're the guy who I dropped lol. My bad dude.
YOU'RE FROM SEATTLE?! I FUCKIN' KNEW IT.
maaaaaaan i wanna see these guys live so bad, what a curse living on the east coast of canada
If you think that's a curse, try living in Peru, bands like this one never come to Lima
Try living in India then.. nobody ever comes here!!!
lol east asian can realte
THEY'RE TOURING ASIA IN FEB!! AND THEY'RE FINALLY COMING TO SINGAPORE
Try living in Northern Europe.
Saw them in Phoenix AZ and they didn't play four lights or stranger things:( Mr halpern broke his double bass pedal right before those songs so they only only played lune! Still one of the best shows I've ever seen though!
pfft. lame. one time my pedal broke and I played by kicking the snare lmao
+tom balmer bwahah. ..
I can't believe how much Spencer has improved. They sound tremendous this tour.
looks great, and sounds great what camera did you use?
I missed them when they came to Detroit, luckily I saw them last year on the Juggernaut tour, such a fucking dope show, I love how much fun these dudes have when they play
Man, this video is sick... what kind of camera did you use?
stranger things prolly way more popular now lol thanks to the show
Shit that's one of my favorite songs by them anyways, it's fucking beautiful
DA DUN-DUN-DUNNNN DUN-DUN-DUN-DUNNNNN DUN-DUN-DUN-DUNNNNN DUN-DUN-DUN-DUNNN-DUN
smileyriley206
dada-daa-da-daaaa
I hope they play four lights at their last show of this tour imma be there 😍
10:45 the bromances are so real
There were so many bromance moments during the show, they spent prolly a quarter of the time next to each other joking or laughing
Look at Mark GO! And Spencer's live vocals have improved a lot. Such a great live show. Hope I can catch them at their UK shows.
Oh fuck me i'm gonna cry on the 30th in boston. This is just beautiful.
James Smith I
"MORE SOMBREROS MORE SOMBREROS, WANT MORE SOMBREROS, WANT MORE SOMBREROS..."
right before four lights starts around 1:48 after spence says “please stop” what does he say after that? “[something] stop”
Best guys
DAT SNARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
3 more songs... 3 more songs... 3 more songs...
Anybody know if they are still doing this as their encore now? Ive waited years to see periphery and am finally gonna get to see them in mid April. They gotta do this shit.
how was the show
In the Encore they Played 22 Faces before playing 4 Lights in San Diego show here
all they played was Lune in PHX i feel a little jipped honestly. but it was sick ovrall anyway i guess.
Mark's prototype PRS 8 string! crazy.
Gah this is awesome!
What light was it that Spencer didn't want on? I couldn't tell if he was talking about a stage light or was talking to a fan
Someone was taking a picture/video and had their camera flash on.
Duuuude!!
three more songs
headbanging in 4/4
No bass?
matt @ 6:42
I would stay with the bass tracks. Besides one less person to worry about.
no bassist? where is nolly?
He is unable to tour except in the UK due to his other projects.
MrMuffinTastic
yeah who needs bass any way
When you can use a backing track there isn't exactly a problem is there?
no yeah a back track is just as good as a bassist why have a bassist evver? or drums? just program it. why have it it live ever?d0ntevenb0ther
You do realise I mean they have a backing track of the bass, right?
whoa, spencer sounds rough in this. wonder if he was sick or something, because he flubbed way more notes than usual, and sounded hoarse.
Well.... It is an encore. So they've already played an entire setlist before these songs. The problem with vocals, is that there's so many different things that can go wrong. i'm pretty sure he said he was during the concert
Yeah, he was hella sick during the Seattle show. I saw him pounding back some sorta syrupy stuff in between songs. Poor dude. Still gave an amazing performance.

1:34 Stop.
spencer is such a diva 13:00 "turn that light off I don't want to show my face right now"
i heard "i don't want that shit in my face right now"
4:43 Matt looks tired as fuck :\
Where the fuck is Nolly???
He doesn't tour anymore. They pre-recorded all of his parts. I imagine that makes it harder for them to switch up the set.
at least get a fill in bassist! wtf
as someone who loves nolly to death, im totally fine with them doing shows like this
In the tiny venue they played in Portland it would have been so crowded on stage. but i get it, he has tons of energy.
+Sean “JinG” Rutledge agreed. haha i would not want to find a replacement for nolly, would never happen haha
It's nice seeing here how engaging Spencer is with the crowd, with newer shows the clips i've seen from them he doesn't do that anymore and doesn't even look at the crowd anymore but turns to the side and sings that way, i don't know what is up with him but it's strange.
