Neat video! i agreed on SA1, and Heroes but personally i would also add Sonic Unleased would be awesome if it would get remastered but it would needs to fix a couple things such as reduce the medel collecting requirements, remove that damn battle werehog theme, faster movement in nighttime and make daytime sonic more responsive. Rush series would be awesome tbh and i know you already mentioned it but i think they would have to remake it cause of the two screens of the DS. Sonic raiders series (the first two) would be awesome if it returned although it might be far fetched. (Grew up with the 3D games) :)
Yeah, I found the movement in Unleashed to be the main barrier for me to enjoy it. The concept is good! I think Sonic Riders would be a great choice with the success of the All Stars/Team Racing series. And dare we hope for a rebuild of Sonic R? Thanks for watching and dropping me a comment. :)
Part of me hopes that remasters of the Sonic Rush games, would lead to a Blaze or Silver game. Shadow got his own game, there’s so much potential with what little we know of Blaze and Silver’s worlds, they’re characters often overlooked, but a game featuring the duo together would be a neat shake up.
i know there is an fanmade Sonic 8-bit collection called the Sonic SMS remakes that you can search online! Since they are simple games, some fans chose to enhance them with modern game add-ons! And they run very great with widescreen!
@@RetroBrendo I would absolutely love a remaster. Speaking of if you didn't like the original version I can't recommend Shadow the Hedgehog reloaded enough. It's somewhat of a remaster for the PC version that gives the game a lot of quality of life adjustments a similar to say something like project 06. Shadow the Hedgehog remains my favorite all-time Sonic game and I honestly hope we can see a remaster done officially by Sega in the future.
Unleashed was a multi-platform release, while Lost World had its home on a single platform which only sold about 13m consoles (the 3DS version is different and the Windows port was likely an attempt to recoup costs). Unleashed is regularly lampooned on for its awkward bits while Lost World, sandwiched between the much loved Colours and much derided Sonic Boom, is kind of forgotten about. In the end though, it's a joke about my genuine reaction to the enthusiasm for an Unleashed remaster. I got it with my Wii in 2009 and took it to CeX within a week. Horses for courses, of course, but it wasn't for me. If it gets a remaster, I hope you enjoy it as much as the original!
Sooo.... funny thing... I'm actually learning Godot to remaster the 8Bit games, exactly as you mentioned lol. Tell me what to add and i'll try. Maybe you could be a beta tester..?
Wow, that's amazing! The big improvements I'd love to see in the 8-bit Sonic titles are reduced slowdown, widescreen support, and transparency effects (i.e. the shields, Chaos Emeralds etc). Whatever you end up doing, I'd love to see it and would definitely be up for beta testing!
Great video Brendan! I think you captured the majority of the titles deserving a remaster. Did you cover the GBA titles, they were very well received by critics at the time. Sonic Advance 1 & 2
Thanks David! I did consider the Sonic Advance titles, but I never played them so didn't think I could do them justice with any suggestions. Given the similar output on the GBA compared to the Mega Drive, it would be a great way to bring back the series from what I've seen!

I remember really liking Blaze back when I played Rush. Silver was cool as well. :)

They could also do a Sonic Free Riders remaster, or in the very least port it along with the other two Riders games.
That would be a great collection. I’ve never played those games but used to play Airboarders 64 which looks similar. :)
