@@nothx962 Very true, that spinning backfist from Chael came as a result of him panicking since Anderson started to stuff the takedown in the 2nd. I think if Chael had gone for another takedown instead of the spinning backfist, he would have given Anderson some more issues. His double leg was phenomenal.

Chael will continue to be a big influence on MMA similar to Bas Rutten or Michael Bisping, he already has a UA-cam Channel which is incredibly good. Literally the first guy to get TJ Dillashaw to admit he took steroids during an interview based off a whim of seeing him at a bellator event. Chael could even do Grappling events if he got the urge to compete again, with minimal wear and tear on his body and not having to worry about getting hit. He's been in the game along time fighting the best in the world, Every fighter comes to a point where it's better they stop fighting, some last longer than others; Chael has given more than enough of his fair share of mma fights

Sure he's lost some fights, but he beat a lot of really good fighters and fought a serious murderers row. Machida, Fedor, Rampage, Wanderlei Silva, Shogun, Anderson Silva, Jon Jones, Rashad Evans, Michael Bisping, Brian Stann etc. I hope he's proud. An early happy Father's Day to him.

How many jobs with fox/espn/podcasts has machida had? None. All he has to make money is his fists, feet and (apparently) knees lol. That will keep you in the game and motivated for far longer. @regular_dude Lol are you seriously going to SJW the bad guy? of all people you think chael wants your white knighting? bro its a media scrum there are 100 ways he couldve worded that question to be a dick. That's not a bad question and I bet if you asked chael he wouldn't have thought so either. This isn't the first time he choked talking about his dad, people know how chael feels about his dad and his promise.

Your dad is proud of you Chael. You had no easy fights, specially the ones for the title. You always made the walk. Plus, you were a champion at making dull aspects of mma as interesting as the fight itself. Everytime you were scheduled to fught we knew its was gonna be good from the build up to the post fight interview. So many champions were quickly forgotten, but you won mma fans hearts forever. You`ll be missed buddy. Thank you for all the good times!

I was just glad that my dad was there when I stepped off of the track after my last 1500m race of my last collegiate decathlon. I placed second, even though I thought I would win and trained to. I cried in my dad’s arms. He brought us up hard, picking g us up after school from an early age to do manual labor for his business. Our college coaches told my brother and I that they could tell that we had parents that made us work manual labor and that they had only seen work like that from that kind of back ground. We dug ditches by hand all summer and moved lumber by hand every day that I was a child. I have my dad to thank for that, even if he is an asshole. Pride in your work only comes from creativity and working hard at what you will create.x

I was lucky enough to have trained in a gym that Chael trained at years ago in Tualatin. I never trained with him but he complimented me twice on my boxing skills. I had other friends that new him and everyone (including myself) thought he was a good man. Just the fact that he noticed my skills and took the time to compliment me meant a lot for an amateur material artist. Thanks Chael for your career and kind words. The best thing anyone can do is to fight and try to win and everything that comes is what it is.
