- Our precious blue planet has been around for 4.54 billion years, but these catastrophes could destroy earth and wipe out humanity forever. The apocalyptic scenarios described vary significantly in terms of likelihood, but they all represent fascinating scenarios in which earth is ultimately destroyed. Perhaps this will simply serve as a reminder to protect the one planet we do live on - and never to take her for granted.

@@AncientWildTV Well, galaxies are mainly just empty space, so the two are very likely to dovetil together quite neatly. There's a very small (a few percent) small chance the Solar system could be ripped away from the Mikly Way and join Andromeda, and an even smaller chance it could be ejected altogether.

I disagree with a large asteroid or comet impact being unlikely. Tomorrow or the next day it is, but a long enough timeframe and it’s almost a certainty.

People who say we should save the Earth aren't really being honest. Earth has been through worse things than what we have been doing to it. Earth will be fine, it's us who are in real danger.

You forgot to mention that one day the sun is gonna get old and become a red giant. Possibly consuming the entire planet.
We would be gone long before that, before the sun will start to expand it will rise significantly in heat, in about 1 Billion + years no liquid water would exist on earth. We have about few hundred million years (Assuming we will survive other disasters and especially our selves) to get our shit together (If we survive our self than the next test will be one of the global nature disasters mentioned in the video) and start looking for other solar system or some other more easier solution.
