Your take on Sunday School is so fascinating to me! Growing up our Sunday School was always a short class before service where we learned Bible stories, theology, made crafts, sang songs, etc. But then we went to the actual service with our parents. I've never experienced a church that does it the way you've mentioned! But I would feel the same way you do if I did find a church that did it that way. I go to my kids' class with them and then we go to service together!
And I made it to the end 😊

That is the way I think Sunday schools should be! A simple lesson but also getting to worship with the body of believers. Wonderful! ❤️❤️❤️

I watched till the end! Lol. I recently came across your channel and have found it so helpful. I have 3 girls, 4 and under and have begun to do some light homeschooling with the oldest. Thank you for the very honest answers in the video. I really resonated with the struggles the two of you had when searching for a church for your family and wanting it to be biblically sound and wanting to keep the children with you during the whole service. I grew up nondenominational protestant and wanted to find a church for our family but none of them ever felt right and all seemed to be either legalistic or all feel good pep talks with no conviction or actual living out the faith. About a year ago I discovered Eastern Orthodoxy and feel at home. I encourage you and your husband to look into it if you have not already, as the two of you may feel drawn to it as well. It truly has changed our family's life. ❤ God Bless!

Yes, the church struggles have been a process for us throughout the last 5 years (more like ten though). Lol
Thank you so much for your encouragement, it’s nice to hear that we’re not alone in our thoughts. ❤️
      Have a beautiful day!

We feel the same about the kids being in the church service with us. But at our church while they do have “children’s church” during the service that our kids don’t go to they also have Sunday school in between the services. And that’s when we get to go to Sunday school too.

Of course watched until the end! I was so excited to see this pop up tonight. Thank you so much for answering the question I sent in. I was so blessed by all of your answers.
I laughed when your husband said a lot of times it might be 20/40, that it might not even be 100%. That is so real and I felt that!
I loved your answers about what you both loved and took from your childhood. It was sweet to hear how your husband's mom had an open door for always talking and how meaningful that was for him.
The impact you shared about the importance of your children seeing positive interactions between you guys was so insightful and I completely agree that it may not be something we realize is important until becoming mamas ourselves. That was really meaningful for me to hear and such an important thing I need to continue to work on!
I loved how you spoke about the best way a partner can be a spiritual leader in the home is by example, less so what they say and more so what they do. That is a great point. I do hope to have my husband as the spiritual leader but I do still hope to be a spiritual example to my children. So your advice was so convicting (in an appreciated way!) as a reminder that I need to be that example by living it.
And when your husband said he would watch all of your videos to learn how to homeschool. That was so sweet!
You are such an inspirational mama to me, thanks again so much for answering my question & for sharing your thoughts on all of these topics!

So what if you have a child that, given the choice to do something happily or still needing to do it but not cheerfully, what if they come back with, I'm not doing it. And they just back talk or walk away and flat out refuse?
