i got to sing this with you as a conductor just yesterday with my choir and three other choirs and the experience was surreal. thank you for such a great time!
We are singing this song for our school concert. I'm planning on singing that amazing solo, this song is a challenge don't get me wrong, but I bet we'll knock it out of the ball park.
Our school got to sing this during the festival and it was incredible, You're an amazing conductor, writer and teacher and it was probably one of my favorite concerts. It's still stuck in my head!
@@sydneyguillaume I go to San Juan Hills High School. I'm pretty sure my teacher said you were coming to help us with Tchaka and I'm excited to meet you!
Wow- I absolutely love it!! My high school choir is doing TCHAKA this year and all my kids are in love with that one. This will definitely need to be on my to-do list in the future! Also, I am particularly happy about this music because I have several kids in my choir who are of Haitian descent and it makes them proud to have such wonderful, exciting music they feel represents them! 🙂
I had the pleasure of performing this song under Mr. Guillaume as conductor this weekend- we had so much fun with it. Thank you for your time and enthusiasm
Hello, mister Guillaume. I still love this song even after I quit choir! I know it's been 2 years since I commented on the video, but I'm glad that you featured us on yoyr facebook page! (I'm from the Woodrose Chorale)
My schools mixed varsity did this song last year and i wasn't apart of that choir at the time... so i learned it on my own and performed it with this years mixed varsity. amazing song and i'm planning on learning tchaka and kalinda on my own soon too!
The more I listen to this piece I cant get enough. Just performed Tchaka with the ILMEA 2019 Honors Choir, and I hope to perform this piece one day as well!
My school just did this song and we got so many awards for it, along with the rest of our set. We were named one of the best model choirs in the Northeast
Dear Sydney, Today I let youtube select my playlist while working on answering mails. To my surprise I found a work of yours and I was surprised by the joy that awakened in me. A great job, a beautiful recording, congratulations!

My chamber choir is learning this song! It's my favorite piece out of all the pieces that we're doing this trimester. Love the energy!
Wow. All four parts are clear and understandable. I'll need to save this for when my school choir sings at George Fox.
Jason Ringo awesome! :)

Would this work without percussion? Just SATB a capella?
@@Perly53 it’s been done before - it can work… but it won’t have the same level of excitement.
@@sydneyguillaume Thank you. Do you have a stand alone SATB, no divisi piece? Four voices, nothing else?
