I love the way that looks over the black (I knew I would), but it hits so hard over the gray as well. I think I'd give this a solid 5. I must say; I'm enjoying these 'spray out' videos A LOT more then I thought I would!
Wow! This came out really nice! 🔥 the black was just what I expected, but the way it showed up over the grey is astonishing 🫡🔥 very good job John! Solid 5!
About 20 minutes spray paint dries quickly if it was through the gun you probably would have to wait about 45 minutes to an hour for everything to tack up good and not be pulling paint off with your finger thanks for watching
Very cool, another big five. I may use this clear coat over the gas tank and the fiberglass body kit on the drag bike. Thank you again. Whats funny is that I was looking at that exact midnight blue on Amazon - lucky me for a change. Haha
I've done many spray-outs close to it you have to be careful though when you shoot a red pearl over white a lot of times it has a tendency to turn pink just the nature of red pearls over white but definitely a good spray out to do thanks for watching
I like it, 5/5 over black. Would like to see Ceya "Galaxy Purple" over black. Looking for a good deep blue, like a cobalt, with just a hint of purple. Most blue/purple color shifts tend to over do the purple in my opinion and I love that deep cobalt looking blue.
It looks amazing, professional level right there 💯 could you make a video of the difference results between matte/ glossy? I'm currently thinking that it would look great with a gallon of matte black rustoleum with lacquer/ paint thinner and a shift color to really dark green to black or green to blue with a little bit purple, idk. On my 95 dakota. Watching your video, knowing about your channel is the best quality automation paint job I have ever seen with a budget friendly price. 🎉
That MIDNIGHT BLUE COLOR SHIFT PEARL OVER GLOSS BLACK is a center field out of the park home run! How about a 10 out of 10 :) From all the comments below I think everybody has given it a 5! Do you have another golf cart that needs painting?
I really like this color so I went to your link and Midnight Blue Pearl is not there. There are other colors that are close but not Midnight Blue. Any ideas?
Yes they actually sold out since my video posted hopefully to have more in stock soon here's a very similar colorshift you could use if you wanna check it out amzn.to/4bWyRWI Also my wife's CRV is painted didspade brand delta colorshift if you wanna look it up which is very close as well sorry for the inconvenience
I'm redoing my 2001 Jetta that has the indigo blue, just ordered this pearl from your link, I think the colorshift on the black is 5/5, will be my first time spraying clear and pearls. Thanks for the ideas and info, I use a syphon gun with 1.8 tip will I have issues?
A 1.8 tip might be a little strong typically I try to stay around 1.3 and 1.4 but you can try it I would do a test panel first though thanks for watching
I really like this one over the light base, definitely a 5 for the dark base it comes through as more of a purple and I give it a 4. Is there any way you could actually let us know how many coats you do wind up putting on for the effect that you achieve in these videos. I know you usually do mention that you spray on 2-3 coats but I don’t think you actually say just how many coats you wind up with. It might be helpful for future reference if a person is trying to replicate the same color effect that you achieved in your videos. It might take out some of the guess work. I think most people would probably spraying a test panel first before just spraying and hoping for the best but for some of the beginners it might help them along. Just an idea. Thanks for another great video
@@WHITLEYAUTOWORKS thank you for that. I have seen a great deal of videos from others and they don’t respond to many of their followers like you do and you are doing something here is is not only interesting but educational as well so having as much information as you can give takes things to a whole new level for us and your channel. I really appreciate what you’re doing with your videos. Thank you again
Depends on what your trying to paint but if it's a medium size car typically it's 50g of pearl to a gallon of clear and you would shoot it over a black base coat so that's a good starting point thanks for watching
The Speedokote clear coat used in this video is actually very good clear I would recommend for doing a whole car. I also recommend finish one clear coat as well thanks for watching!
It's not very hard I would say the biggest thing is consistency of your spray not trying to do too much too quickly and not overloading your mix with pearl to try and get coverage faster you want it to build so everything lays even sometimes less is more especially with color shift pearls I'll make a video in the near future going more in depth
@@WHITLEYAUTOWORKS ok that is for the info. Looking forward to the video. Iv done agricultureal painting with spray gun but it's been many many years and id kinda like to give it a try again
Click the link in the description you can buy a 50 g jar that is perfect for doing a whole car I would let the black completely flash off for about an hour or so after your last coat and then you can start applying clear
@@lssleepers6464 Yes I've done many sprayouts with a dark green effect if you check out the New Year's Eve mix I did a while ago that's probably the coolest one with the ghost graphics
Paint code is ja Ford code sapphire Blue . My question would be how to get close to that color and I like to also see the chameleon pure magic jelly pearl so you think that's a good one to test and thanks for the video's awesome stuff thank a veteran god bless
To get close to that Sapphire blue you would mix a quart or two of royal blue with a quart of black and just tint to your liking and I will try and do that pearl on a future video Thanks for watching and thank you for your service
I love it over black it's a really good color😊😊😊😊
Over black turned out awesome for sure
5s for sure! That black to purple is crazy!
Over the Black it looks OEM!!!! Like I can see this being used on an exotic or older Corvette and it looking sharp 5 for sure
I love the way that looks over the black (I knew I would), but it hits so hard over the gray as well. I think I'd give this a solid 5.

This is my favorite channel on UA-cam. I am always looking forward to the next video ,I get to watch during my lunch break. . Great content.
On thunder Grey that pops nice in the sunlight! I dig it 5x5 on both !

Best one yet !!!!
Solid 5👍🏼👍🏼💯
Love it over the black 5! I'd like to see Kodon Blue over white and black.
How long you let the rustoleum sit before spraying the clear coat with pearl this looks awesome 5

Definitely 5 beautiful over black
Looks awesome over the black. A little subdued for me over the gray, but still looks good.
Looks Great!!! 5+
The black popped great I give it a 5 the gray gets a respectable 4. Great video brother!
5 for sure love your videos
Love the white, blue is pretty but personally not a fan of purple, it's pretty !
Wow... that clear is thinnnn!
I rate it a five but prefer the gloss black side.
Nice work the black looks great 👍

I like it over the black 😎👍5
This is exactly what I'm im doing with my Infiniti g37 sedan over black 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Have you ever done a white with ghost red pearl with a satin clear?

Absolutely beautiful!
Looks really good !!!!
If you are looking for a color shift that would make a good one. Nice.
Great results!!!! Is the product sold out forever? Thanks
No it's actually back in stock now
@@WHITLEYAUTOWORKS I'm not able to find it only the chrome base
@robertcollett5845 Yes it says midnight blue Chrome powder but that's what it is it's the first link in the video description
@@WHITLEYAUTOWORKS thanks man how many you figure per gallon of clear?
@robertcollett5845 one can to the gallon
Great reaction, give it a 4 plus
They both hit hard in their own right. 5/5 on both for me!

Thanks I really appreciate it
I've got a black 06 H3 that would look great with that on it.
Nice job 👍
I couldn’t stop staring
I want to use a gold pigment on my car. Can I send you some to test out to see how it looks/works before I paint my whole car
Sure no problem I don't mind giving my opinion just send the pics to whitleyautoworks@gmail.com
I could go with either color depending on what I was putting it on. Tie 5 out of 5
Eye candy Dark Ube over Black and Smoke Grey Gloss.
both colors are awsome but te black stands out im going to paint my truck apple red with kandy aple pearl
the black ❤

fantastic
Almost just like ruri from eyecandy pigment

Hi. I’m spraying a semi truck cab and hood What would be the amount of material I would need to
Two jars of pigment 100g should be plenty to do the whole project thanks for watching!

How many of the color shifts containers would it take to paint a small coupe?
