An exhaust change requires a tune IMHO . If the exhaust back pressure is different the air fuel mixture needs to be tuned. Not doing so will cause the car to run either too rich or too lean. If it allows more flow it will be too lean robbing power. You should change your oil Before 1k miles to get rid of the wear in flakes IMHO. Lubrication experts agree. Oil and filter is cheap compared to loss of longevity. Especially if you are going to do power mods later.
