RIP Wilko - you were fantastic.
"So I smooved fings over wiv the septic" hahahaha love it!!
Hi. Whats septic slang for? Thanks.
@@ampersand6440 It's what's known as rhyming slang. In this example it goes like this -
Septic = Septic Tank
Septic Tank = Yank
Yank = An American
👍
@@Vortigan07 many Thanks.
@@Vortigan07 Thank the lord there's a few of us left ,old wilco didn't half have some Germans on I'm 😂🍀🇬🇧👍
Rip Wilko. Fabulous legacy and memories you've left us
Absolutely Brilliant
I wonder how many Americans other than myself purchased copies of "Down By the Jetty" and "Malpractice" when they came out in 1975? The only reason I bought "DBTJ" was 'cause I saw Bob Andrews and Brinsley Schwarz's name on the back and had LOVED those guys since "Nervous on the Road." Good ol' Wilko! Glad to see he's still around and he's definitely one of my all-time favorite guitar players. Gawd Bless Dr. Feelgood!
Well done mate, love the sounds you used to make and sad to learn of your passing, RIP Wilko.
Historic material.
What a fantastic bloke! Totally unpretentious and natural acting, and so funny as well! I hope with his recent good news he's around for a long time yet! xx
I come back to this every couple years or so, it never gets old. Septic! lol.
Just read "Don't you leave me here" by Wilko...great read with many stories...I couldn't put it down and was up all night.
Septic! What a brilliant bit of unrehearsed rhyming slang. God bless Wilko.
Septic has been rhyming slang for Yank since before he was born lol. He grew up with it
What a very humble man 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
What a proper bloke.....and a legend to boot ...
wilko what a legend! i love his truth & honesty...
Just for those who are wondering, Wilco was diagnosed with an incurable cancer.
he was given a year to live. He did a farewell tour and a doctor who was at one of the concerts looked at him and thought Wilco had been wrongly diagnosed. Long story short, he contacted Wilco and he is now cured. Couldn't of happened to a nicer bloke.
For those who don't know, go find video's of Wilco playing with Dr Feelgood in the early days, he was out there, brilliant to watch.
Wilko, not Wilco. It comes from his last name, his proper name being John Wilkinson. :-)
My apologies, I do know better.
Sorry if that came across as grumpy, but so many spell his name wrong. It doesn't worry him though . Hope you enjoy the new album. Wilko says it will 'Blow Your Mind' ;-)
No problem, I am dyslexic so I am used to it. Spell check didn't pick me up because it is a name.
I grew up with Dr Feelgood and the Blockheads so 9 times out of 10 I will get Wilko's name right.
ahh, then I apologise - I have some Blockhead videos on here too if you enjoy watching them. And have you ever seen this? It's brilliant! ua-cam.com/video/PYX5UERTKoQ/v-deo.html
Great stories. Lucky to have seen Wilko live in Belfast....back in the mid 80's(with the Wilko Johnson Band....in the Errigle Inn) and also when he got up on stage with Weller a couple of years ago.
Excellent talk Wilco wished I had seen you with the Blockheads.
Love Wilko, one of the funniest guys ever, so natural and, well, just Wilko. That story about Ian Dury is hilarious! Loved Dr Feelgood back in the day, or should that be 'back in the night'....?! Never got the chance to see them live, but have seen Wilko live twice, brilliant guy to watch and listen to.
Brilliant . Wilko , and Norman Watt Roy , in the same band . Two of England's most exciting performers . Great story .
There's some video of the two of them playing together in this playlist Chas - at a little pub venue in Watford a few years back :-)
@@punkrocksal Check buddy . Wonderful .
Saw the Feelgoods in Dublin 75 or 1976 best big of my life They were never as good after Wilco departed saying that they were better than most bands on the go at the time even after he left I still dig them in my old age💓😀🇮🇪
I used to see them so many times mid seventies at Dingwals at Camden Lock. Brilliant times.
The Ian Dury-hotel bit had me laughing for hours
There are times like this when I wish UA-cam like Facebook, had a Love emoji instead of just a click Like. What a lovely man you were. So glad I saw you, Norman and Dylan play live. x
THIS IS PRICELESS!!!! what a great little snippet i find here! My brother loves this guy and i can see why! great stories!
Thank you! One of a series filmed at this book launch. :-)
Alas his illness has now eventually caught up with him! A really unique guitar player! Rock on Wilko!
Amazing. Thanks for posting.
Still a trendsetter-first with his hair in the 70s and more recently with his eyebrows. Now I want to grow mine out...
I think this was in David's Bookshop in Letchworth; a shop I know well. But not well enough because I didn't know this was on. I really wish I had known!
Legend.
A superstar and living legend... he should do children's stories!
Best Rock n roll story ever
Great, great story. "...anyway, I smoothed things over with the septic..."! Gold dust.
Absolute legend right there .RIP guitar man you truly were the best .🙏
"you bastards you're all fucking sacked" awww man Brilliant.
An Absolute GENIUS 🔥 💯
he don't say much but when he does, boy does he rant !! great bloke!
What a nice humble fella..so different from the stage persona with Dr Feelgood
What a man .Great band. That vid of them.doing Roxette on OGWT CLASS

Wilco has a real good outlook on life , says it as it is , would be a great guy to have a night out with ,
What a lovely lad! So natural. Wilko was sacked cos he didn’t drink! 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
Love the guy.
Awsome stuff.
What a thoroughly nice guy! Met him briefly at the St Helens Citadel only last year after one of his gigs. He lost his wife to cancer only a few years ago. He is declining treatment for his cancer and will do a farewell tour of the UK later this year apparently.
Legend !!!!
“Smoothed things over with the septic”. Piss funny
I just found this one, thought I\d watched 'em all! Thanks for uploading these vids of Wilko, great to hear him chatting.

Nice Guitar playing Wilko, or did you forget.
The Ian Dury story is absolutely wonderful.
RIP Wilko
Stay strong John.
You can't have 3 drunks and a speedfreak. 😂
Today's news has totally naffed me off..... so so sad ...... good luck to you
🤣🤣🤣👍👍star
He looks like Johnny Knoxville in the Bad Grandpa makeup.
comes across as a real geeza and this belies an educated man with a degree in English who worked as a college lecturer for a little while - he also hated the Feelgoods drinking culture - appearances can be deceptive
Barley mentioned Lee
How many stories have the line we were pulling this cripple into a lift
HAHAHA!! Brilliant :D
The fucking dude
Now that is funny.
I absolutely LOVE WILKO NO BULLSHIT FROM THIS BLOKE I WISH I COULD BUY YA PINT
