How amazing is that I’m Australian and love midnight oil how cool is that to have him working on your boat and you inspiring him wonderful just wonderful 😉🥰
Such a great time you are having and getting to meet Peter, how cool is that! The "Oils" were just so big down this way and their music is amazing. Their lead, Peter Garrett, became a Member of our Federal Government, and even was a Government Minister for a time. Not bad for a great Band. Love their music and seeing Peter Gifford again brought it all back for me. Magic!
Just watching my nightly journey on your boat, the one where you had a bump . How dare anyone say it's boring ,don't bloody watch it then ,carry on cruising Heidi ,we love you maid 💕💕
Everyweek my partner and I watch your vlogs and love to see your new encounters. My name is Bev LISTER and I was born in 1969! My partner takes great pleasure in mocking me when you say “fire up the old girl” 😂. I think the Rum Wench goes to prove the oldies are the besties , love to Bonnie xx
Hi Bev, I’m also a boater and my maiden name was Lister. My late husband had an air cooled 1946 Lister which sounded amazing but as he ran it on used cooking oil it smelled like a burger van 😂. My boat is much more fragrant! By the way, I was born in 1954 and still makes me smile to see park benches with Lister Dursley on them. All best wishes to you 🦆💕
Hi Heidi great video again. What a lovely city Chester is I think the wife and I must go up there in the spring in our motorhome Daisy and have a good look. Thanks Moggy Mark and Sue. ❤
Loved this vlog. I went on a horse-drawn narrow boat from Chester to Manchester in 1976. Our start was delayed as our boat needed to be fixed and that boatyard you went past had to finish a boat before they could fix ours. They relaunched the boat sideways into the canal. It ways a fabulous trip. I was on a trip to the homeland as they used to call in my youth, being from Australia. Thank you for your vlogs.
Heidi, what a fantastic video. What a treat meeting up with Pete, Wow. As a child I grew up where you were moored and met the policeman. Queens Street. You were tied up (ooh er) by Cow Lane Bridge, the former name of Frodsham Street I believe. Thanks again for posting and glad your mum made the trip to see you. P.S. one of my favourite haunts is Telfords Wharehouse, MANY a happy time spent in there to this day. Cheers.
G'day Heidi, great video as always. As an Australian, seeing Peter helping you out was great, especially considering he was in Midnight Oil, one of the biggest bands Australia has produced, I am jealous. All the best and see you at the next video. Cheers

Chester looks lovely. What a beautiful place to visit. Thank you for the tour round. Great to see you and your mum having a lovely catch up around the town. Bonny looking as cute as ever.❤
Jesus Heidi you have an interesting life and you never know who you will meet on the canals. Peters boat, Emily, is just perfect and that table and the bed ingenious, hope that he is really enjoying been on the canals. Hello mum you're looking great as always.
The sheer volume of history in places like Chester always amaze me! I live in Canada where, beyond a few hundred years of European occupation, the indigenous sites are not at all obvious and they didn't build any monuments or large structures. My own house was built in 1850, which is just a baby compared to the oldies in the UK.
❤ I felt quite peaceful and tranquil watching some bits of Heidis' lovely vid (and still having giggles at other bits!). The music is fab as well. Also, when Heidi is showing us these places, walking around, I'm now writing a list of some of them, as places I want to visit ! Thank you Heidi 😁😁
It looked like a lovely day Heidi. Chester is a lovely city used to always go there when I was a kid in the 70s with my mum and Dad when we lived in the Wirral near Heswall. How amazing meeting Pete of Midnight Oil
This vlog has to be the best advert for my home city that I've seen in years. Thank you Heidi for your excellent vlogs, I always look forward to Thursday evenings.
I think Chester is the most beautiful and interesting city you have shown us. Those old walls and the cathedral with its history of the site. As always a lovely video.

@@TheNarrowboatPirate thank you yes , but over 150 people have died. So sad .🥹
Love watching you and Bonny, cheers!
Telford's warehouse is at the of a long bike ride for me from North Wirral. I've had many a pint in there, followed by a very careful ride along the canal back home. Great to see you visiting Wirral Heidi, and well done for braving the ever fickle Mersey.

Great tour of Chester.
