I started following your channel because of the NC. Your partly the reason I bought one (like I said somewhere in another video) and I love it. But your new bike looks great to! And I love to see the Australian country side so it's a real pleasure to watch your video's. And who knows, maybe you give me ideas for my next bike... Keep up the good work and ride safe...!
I also love thats its easy to flick to sport mode with the press of a button. That way I can keep it in Drive for normal stretches of roads with the engine just chugging along and the moment I hit twisties you have here I flick into sport mode just to keep the gears a bit longer for more engine braking (using less actual brakes) and less gear changes. Makes it so effortless. Cant imagine going to a bike with no DCT ever again
Thanks Adrian, that ride brings back a lot of memories for me. On your map that you showed there's a place called Peel, we owned a property there for 16 years and spent countless hours out on both engine and human powered bikes across the district. The Bridle Track was always a favourite when it wasn't closed from the regular rock slides.
It looked exactly like a “bad luck” incident to me. Could happen to any of us. Hope you recover quickly and that you are being pampered by your lovely lady.
Fantastic. The last time I was out there the track was still closed. Went down a little way but knowing I couldn't get through went back to Hill End and home via Sofala. I very much regret selling the NC and not being able to do it now its open again. It looks sooooooo good to ride.
Phew, there should have been Warnings at start about bum-clenching riding, but looking at all the rule breaking going on in your virgin countryside, i guess reading was optional at your schools! Brilliant piece of work you produced there Adrian, just so surprised it took you so long to arrive at getting the AT? I am now one behind you, still on the NC but aiming for the X-ADV, tried getting on an AT last Sat but leg problems deny me access so the X will be my pinnacle!
Stunning scenery. Hey, I wish you'd stop bashing yourself. It is human to forget things and calling oneself "idiot" does no good to one's soul. It's nice to see you find the AT easy enough to ride. Cheers.
"I'll only be taking this bike off the bitumen for the occasional gravel road"... Nek Minnit!! 😆 Thanks for not calling it the BRIDAL track, like so many do - which is scary for entirely different reasons!!
Ha! Well, that was “occasionally”. You have to be careful who you ride with. They can lead you astray. Just ask the blokes who ride with you ! Had a laugh about “bridal” comment. You must be looking over my shoulder as I mis-spelt it when I first named the vid file. Fortunately I spotted my error.
@@AfricaTwin-Stuff 😅 Can always blame auto-incorrect... But those people who say they rode across the boarder to do the bridal track have no excuse whatsoever!!
That was such a fascinating video to watch. Did you end up selling the NC750X.? I am really enjoying my new Honda CB500X and can see why Wendy loved hers so much.
There u go - on the NC - u'd place all the pricy things in the TRUNK ! - can't loose anything ‼‼😀 Besides - on 14:49 - 3 bikes : yours 2 and another one..... Take a look how he ( I assume he ) keeps the things...... Why didn't you do the same ?? Sidebags - maybe neither I would, always, use hard cases, but a TOP-BOX - on a trip like this = a MUST !
Hey Adrian, we plan to drive the Bridle track this Tuesday but with all the rain we've had I wonder of it will be ok to drive. We have a Subaru Forester. Any thoughts?
There are a couple of creek crossings. Both are concrete causeways. This would be your only problem I think, if the river flows are significantly higher. All the track is good gravel at present so I don’t think the rain will have affected that too badly. Anyway, you can always turn back if it look bad.
I have 2017 NC750x DCT and you can stall DCT. I was coming to a stop at traffic light and as soon as i stopped light turned green and i kinda feathered the throttle and at that time it stalled... I was suprized to say the least 😂 well i was swearing ...

Thanks mate. Appreciate your comments
Gee I enjoyed that! Wow! Now I want to go there (in the car - I don't have off road riding skills). Thanks so much for showing this!
Glad you're liking the AT..
I am in SA and hoping to do this ride next year on my Transalp. Thanks for the video, and now subscribed to your channel.
Superb video , highly entertaining 😊

Thanks. Sooo many great roads to explore in the area. I’m sure we will be back in the district many times to come.
But you only need one! (On coming 4WD) Truer words never spoken.
Great video mate, definitely some unfinished business for me.

Yes. It’s not technically difficult and is very scenic.
Would be much better riding mid week but we avoided most of the traffic by doing it early.
Crumbs! For an "old bloke" you really handled this fast tracks over Monahan's Bluff! 😂😅😆🤔🤥🤐. Nice ride and good video; thanks!

Sold the NC to a good mate for “mates rates” to ensure it went to a good home. So will be seeing it again.
Good to hear you are loving the CB.
Wonderful video, thanks

Well … as the saying goes - you can’t fix stupid.
Great video 👏thank you
Your so lucky to have this play ground in you're back yard 😂😂
Yes we are. Mind you, we have lots of less famous adventure roads very close to home too!
You might see some of these in future vids.

would you have considered taking the NC on that trip ?
Hmmm. I actually said in the vid that I would 😁
