I wonder if the Little family knew the average life span of a mouse when going into an orphanage to adopt a child.

Mice are actually adorable, but I just wish they wouldn't get into houses and try to eat anything and everything within your houses [had a scary encounter when a mouse was on top of my bird cage, making me worry for my cockatiel], and I wish they didn't carry diseases too [to be fair it's mostly rats this happens with, but sometimes mice carry stuff too]. They're very cute, and a lot of iconic cartoon characters and mascots are mice, like Mickey, Minnie, Jerry, Pikachu [actually a Pika, but it is part of the mouse family], and Chuck E Cheese. Actually, Chuck E was originally going to be a coyote, but when Nolan Bushnell recieved the costume, it was a RAT. Though thankfully Chuck E was turned into a mouse, mainly because rats + food = 🤢.

I once saved a wild baby mouse that was on my lawn in the rain.
It didn't bit me at all, and it's eyes were still closed.

There were a lot of clips of hamsters in this video. Kinda surprised you couldn’t find videos of pet mice!

I was surprised, as well. I guess perhaps because hamsters are more common as pets? But I figured it would be a good way to let people test their knowledge from the video-- you passed haha!

Actually, gerbils belong to the family Gerbillidae alongside jirds, sand rats, and deomyines, both Muridae and Gerbillidae are families within the superfamily Muroidea, but Muridae is the most basal of the four extant families of the Muroidea superfamily, while gerbillids are more closely related to the clade that contains the families Cricetomyidae, which contains most of the mouse-like rodents native to mainland Africa and Nesomyidae (Malagasy Rodents).

We should stop animal testing then trashing the tiny heroes. Many mice are tiny the size of your thumb. Rats are some smart sweet animals too, see Shadow the Rat and they will do tricks dogs can't do!
