I was devasted when Chadwick died, I had been diagnosed with breast cancer in 2019 and had finished treatment when he died. When he says that line about the ancestors who jumped from the ships: While it's a powerful sentiment, he really can't compare himself to them. A lot of people don’t realize that Chadwick was actually an accomplished martial artist. Outside of the MCU, he had very few action roles. Check out “Message From The King” when you get the chance. It was the first film he did after he was cast as BP and he started working on his T’Challa accent there.
I remember when it came out everyone came with traditional african clothing. I went to the new one with my peacock feather headress. Represtin the aztec blood
And that's what it's all about. Be you and be proud of who you are. The first BP movie was a gateway that without it becoming the huge success it did become, a lot of other movies of disenfranchised people probably wouldn't have seen represented. Including: Captain Marvel, Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight, Shang-Chi, The Eternals, and the Talocan. In real life, this reminds me of the gateway of the Civil Rights movement of which without that historical event, a lot of other people wouldn't have the freedom and privileges they have now in the U.S. The system still sucks and is still very corrupt but it was a huge historical event that black Americans head hunted in pursuit of representation. Pretty much how BP and Kilmonger were compared to Martin Luther King, Jr., and the beginning mindset of Malcolm X before he changed his views, back when he used to follow the ways of Louis Farrakhan. Tenoch was a great choice to play Namor. His version resonated very well. I've heard comic book fans say that his version was more subtle than the one from the comics. He wasn't over the top cartoonishly villainous. It wouldn't have worked for the tone of the movie. So Ryan made the right choice to have him be a little toned down from the comics.
I saw this movie 5x in theaters, atleast 3x On Disney plus and once a couple of months before the sequel came out with danai gurira (okoye) and Lin Manuel Miranda, not to mention I've seen this video quite a few times and let me tell you!!....this is is first time I actually heard Okoye say "bast willing this will end quickly" 😂😂 Bast is the goddess they worship in Wakanda, an ancient Egyptian cat goddess.
M'Baku rejected the heart-shaped herb but it wasn't for the noble reason that you think. The herb was touted to be a gift from the goddess Bast but M'Baku and the Jabari are disciples of Hanuman, the Hindu monkey deity. We know this because he dedicated his challenge to Hanuman. Had he accepted a boost of strength from the herb, I think his people would've viewed him as a sellout and he probably wouldn't have been able to live with himself had he accepted that offer. Accepting the herb could've meant dissent among his people and war within himself. That's my theory anyway.
The style of fighting, where they wrap the leg around the neck, is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu move. I'm sure there were also a lot of mixed martial arts in there, but I definitely recognized a lot of BJJ moves!
The Black Panther movie has taken a lot of inspiration from South Africa. 1.Some of the clothes they wear in Wakanda is the traditional clothing in SA. 2. The music played in Shuri's lab is from SA called Gqom 3. The landscapes in Wakanda was shot at one of our national parks 4. The language they speak is Xhosa 5. The father of the black panther "T'Chaka" is a South African actor 6. The person who played the younger T'Chaka is actually the son of the guy who played T'Chaka
Can't wait to see Wakanda Forever, next week while on vacation we can watch it in a bigger cinema then what we have "All the stars" is my ringtone and screensaver of the movieposter since the that I heard that C. Boseman died, such a good human being in real life and as actor he will be missed
There was a whole section of the Wakanda people. They were almost in the class of Killmonger in believing that Wakanda needed to join the world's power and not remain as an isolationist nation. The beauty of this film is the ability to show the antagonist point of view, no matter how extreme it was. P.S. did you guys watch the after credit scenes?

I don't know how I missed that perspective. Killmonger was hungry to be king while T'challa was afraid to be king.
Did not mention none of the bad a** women that was in the movie. They played an important part of the movie too.
The ancestral place that's where all kings/previous black panther goes that's were he saw he's father
And not for nothing:
“Would you kill me my love?” moment, maybe my favorite scene in the entire film
I saw this movie 5x in theaters, atleast 3x On Disney plus and once a couple of months before the sequel came out with danai gurira (okoye) and Lin Manuel Miranda, not to mention I've seen this video quite a few times and let me tell you!!....this is is first time I actually heard Okoye say "bast willing this will end quickly" 😂😂
Bast is the goddess they worship in Wakanda, an ancient Egyptian cat goddess.
The second Black Panther is getting great reviews? That's not what I've heard lol. The first one is pretty good, though.
What Killmonger said was in reference to the slave trade because many slaves jumped off the slave ships, rather than be sold into slavery.
They shouldve ended with this, the new black panther is not as great as this one
Chadwick is up there in heavens vip lounge, making jokes with Stan Lee.
In every marvel movie there is an after credit scene in almost everyone
When I think about him filming this movie & going to his chemotherapy sessions at the same time, really brings tears to my eyes 😢😢😢…… R.I.P. King ❤
lmfao "BATTLE RHINOS?!?"
Rip Chadwick also I like killmonger and also like M'Baku a lot
You guys should watch Joker with Joaquin phoenix
Already seen it, genuinely loved that movie!
This can't be the first time yall watching Black Panther with yall being MCU fans
Also for me personally I refuse to ever wat the next black panther at least half of a Decade or more
The Black Panther movie has taken a lot of inspiration from South Africa.
1.Some of the clothes they wear in Wakanda is the traditional clothing in SA.
2. The music played in Shuri's lab is from SA called Gqom
3. The landscapes in Wakanda was shot at one of our national parks
4. The language they speak is Xhosa
5. The father of the black panther "T'Chaka" is a South African actor
6. The person who played the younger T'Chaka is actually the son of the guy who played T'Chaka
You guys Need to watch Walk Hard The Dewey Cox Story. Such a funny and underrated film and not too many reactions to it!
Such an incredible movie ! Miss Chadwick like crazy. The cast really did a great job with honoring him in the sequel and continuing the story.
RIP CHADWICK. While the sequel, Wakanda Forever, paid a nice tribute to him, but the film was so boring and my dad hated it.
1:42 That opening is beautiful! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
U guys should watch 21 bridges....do an reaction
One of the few MARVEL movies yall haven't seen?!! Which ones yall have seen?
You really wouldn't think that he was so sick while filming this while watching him would you?
Can't wait to see Wakanda Forever, next week while on vacation we can watch it in a bigger cinema then what we have
"All the stars" is my ringtone and screensaver of the movieposter since the that I heard that C.
Also are you going to get a pet octopus as the channel Mascot
I believe the ancestral plain in this movie is the same as Moon Knight, but we saw it here first. Each culture has their own from what I understand, but it’s connected.
Y’all should react to Roll Bounce, it’s one of the most underrated movies and it has a somewhat star studded cast.
