Very helpful explanation! Do you ever consider staggering your stop losses (they are linked it seems) above the initial target in hopes of capturing and locking in a certain amount of profit and letting the rest do it's thing? I've not tried it via these brackets, is it possible?

Time in Force is very important .. People should make a habit of doing all orders Good til cancelled (GTC) otherwise you might wake up the next day wondering what happened to your stop/target.

Hey Tim, I'm pumped you liked the video. Yes, using bracket orders will definitely allow you some freedom from your screen. How long have you been trading?
one rather serious issue i'm running into with TOS is that if i am manually trading that day using bracket orders with manual stops, and the market is really moving, i have trouble grabbing the stop loss handle and dragging it up. something about the chart trying to draw a price bar at the same time i am trying to grab the stop loss handle makes TOS fight me. another issue is that if i place a trade, then place another trade shortly after the two stop loss handles overlap and TOS will not allow me to click and drag either handle which is maddening. i have used trailing stops too of course. but there are times when you want to manually grab the stop loss handle and move it and of course a trailing stop loss handle will not let you grab it and move it

CAN YOU CHANGE THE VOLUME OF THE ORDER BUTTONS? INSTEAD OF A 100 MINIMUM MAYBE A 10, 25, AND 50, FOR TRADERS WITH SMALLER ACCOUNTS? GREAT VIDEO BTW THANKS
Yes, I believe you can. In the settings there should be an option for setting your default minimum share #. Hope that helps!

Can u put in a stop limit using TRG brackets
With the multiple brackets, why not use trailing stops with some or all of them?
Trailing stops lowered my overall win percentage after backtesting, great question!

HI. Newbie here. So if I buy something below the going price( I see the stock moving down) then i make money when the stock is going down ! Made and lost money because of not understanding Bracket order and FOMO. Thank you.
In order to short a stock you actually borrow the shares from the broker, sell them at a particular price...wait for the price to go down and then buy them back at this lower price, then return them to the broker.

Great video, I have been searching for a simple explanation of the triple bracket order and this video is perfect for using a monetary offset. I have yet to find one with an explanation of setting these up with the percent offset, tick offset, etc. Is the percent offset a percentage of your account so one could do a 1% offset on stop loss and stagger 2%, 3%, etc. take profit? I will subscribe just in case you do a video illustrating this. Thanks again for THIS one!
Hey Dave, great questions! I don't typically use the % offset, so I'll have to take a look at that one and get back to ya, thanks for subbing! I usually just use a dollar amount for these brackets! Cheers!

in your opinion, would it be best to take a straight 2 to 1 bracket or do a 3 bracket target, does a 3 bracket pan out that often? Also, if your stop or target is not hit when do you look to exit the trade.

Back testing will give you the answer to your question about 2 vs 3 R target. For my trading, 2.25-2.5 R works best, but definitely back test to figure that out.
If your target is not hit I would definitely close the position a few minutes before the close of the trading day, definitely don't want to be holding a large position over night. Hope that helps!!

I believe you can place as many orders as you like using the bracket, try it out in the paper trading simulator first. Let me know how it goes!
