- Welcome to my version of "Like I've Never Been Gone" written by Paul Hampton and Camille Monte and first released by American countrysinger Chase Webster in July 1962. In February 1963, English singer Billy Fury released a cover of the song which peaked at number 3 on the Record Retailer Top 50.
This post marks my 200th You Tube Upload. It seems an awful long time since my first video in 2016 so a massive thanks to everyone who has supported the channel and hopefully there are a few more tunes still to come....

@@NevilleWorthington - Guess we make a good pair…… my concentration levels diminish after 2min, plus I struggle to remember things unless I play and record straight away………. I was trying to learn Samba Pa Ti and just had to give up as I just couldn’t remember which bit came next every time I got passed the two minute mark. In the end I gave up and cut the whole thing down to a respectable length. ( still struggled ). Age is a terrible thing at times.

Congratulations Neville no your 200th upload, and with a great Billy Fury number, was only listening to this one a few days ago, his songs always make nice instrumentals.
Loved this one, liked the harmonies , with the two guitars sounded brill, well played and edited.

Right Samantha, I'll do you a deal. You can come and live back home so you can help to video the next 200 because although this maybe number 200 I think I must have heard it at least 200 times, and as a qualified accountant if this is song 200 and I've listened to most of them 200 times I think roughly 39,000 is about right xxx😂🤣

Hi John, 200 songs seems such a lot (especially as I can only play about a dozen or so from memory now!) but on the other hand the past seven years have passed so quick. A massive thanks for supporting my efforts from the very early days. The Colorama is about the same age as myself and like me needs plenty of recovery time now between YT appearances😊Talking about vintage equipment I was wondering if you still had your Binson echo and if so I would love to see it feature in a future upload by yourself? @@NevilleWorthington Hi Neville! Learning songs just to record them and publish them on YT is probably not the best way to remember how to play them. I still know how to play The Shadows tunes I learned back in the early 60:s, but that's (almost) all...
The Binson Echo is still here, I'm afraid it's not good for recording anymore, to much humming and buzzing, but it still works live...😊
