Civil Contractors New Zealand CablePrice Auckland Regional Excavator Operator Competition 2024

The CCNZ CablePrice Auckland Regional Excavator Operator Champion took place over two days of intense competition at the Franklin A&P Show, running from 18-19 February.
The competition was a chance for Auckland's excavator operators to show their amazing skills with 13-tonne Hitach ZX-130 excavators on a course designed to test them to the limits of their abilities.
Twenty-four competitors took part in this year's competition, with the winner going on to represent the Auckland region at the CCNZ CablePrice National Excavator Operator Competition at Central Districts Field Days.
CCNZ congratulates David Benioni of CB Civil, who was named this year's winner.
This was a tight competition, with just five points separating the top three competitors. Last year's regional champion Jarrod Hoskins of Fulton Hogan came in second this year, while Daniel Smith of DK Smith Excavations put in a great performance to place third.
