Thank you for watching and the support!
Nice, very helpful video.
I always wondered how they land a large fish from the pier.
Regarding "herring & a float". Do you mean live herring, frozen or an artificial like the silver fluke shown in the video @ 15:25?
All the above! This can be frozen or live or even anchovies too. I’m in the process of a breakdown video on floating bait off the beach for a deep dive
You want to cure the hearing first otherwise it'll fall apart in one cast or on a down rigger troll. Blue cure works great
People usually yell at me if I throw a bobber at a pier lmao
Lol well not in the middle of the jigging pack. Float and bait can be a great clean up on the pier ends or off the jetty corners. Look for the schools to be 5-20’ under the surface and hold on
Another amazing video! Such great fishing information! Going to Def try the bobber at edmonds! Skunked out twice with just the herring jigs :(
@@Daver3alm appreciate the kind words, all the piers are showing fish which is so cool about this time of year.
@@HolyMolyOutdoors Yea Everytime I've gone up people are pulling them in
Which pier is this?
Tried all the rivers here with no luck so far, but your video makes piers look promising - thanks for the post!
Edmonds fishing pier
This was Edmonds but there are many ones to target in Puget sound
I was always tempted to try a spinner on the pier just to see what would happen, now I have to try that out.
It can be a sleeper sometimes and especially behind others or in the shallower waters you can get schools that will run behind the other people
Great video! Lots of good options. How do you use the scent on them?
I honestly put a small dab on my finger and get a little on the bottom section or dip a small bit of the hook bend. A little goes a long way
@HolyMolyOutdoors thanks! Will have to try it out.
Awesome video man thank you so much!! Im a total newbie to this, where would you recommend buying your gear, jigs, rod/reels etc? Amazon? Somewhere locally? Thanks!
@@franklinfeng1620 thank you for the support and watching! Shoot me over an email and I can best help on the gear! I do make some custom stuff as well that I sell but happy to put together a list
good info.
Thanks buddy!
Great video I love the deep dive videos!I do have a question though I haven’t been able to find banana weights so will normal in line sinkers like Beau mac work fine? Im guessing the banana weight adds more flutter?
I don’t notice too much difference between them but the banana sinker does allow for more of a keel ride in the water
@@HolyMolyOutdoors I caught a big coho with a buzzbomb hootchie, only was able to learn how to rig it from your videos. Thank you!
@@edgarm1092 so awesome!!
Any specific piers near Tacoma or UP?
Les Davis pier on Ruston Way is going to be your best bet in the Tacoma area for a pier
Thanks for sharing!
@@HolyMolyOutdoors Of course! Love the comment man, appreciate you sharing your knowledge and tips
Most coho just let them tire out and lift them out of water no net needed, didn't even fight, and I thought it was a shaker or seaweed...
You don't even have any Webster's.
No I don’t but haven’t needed them. I just fish with that I have confidence in. But I have heard those work well too!
