    Nice, very helpful video.
    I always wondered how they land a large fish from the pier.
    Regarding "herring & a float". Do you mean live herring, frozen or an artificial like the silver fluke shown in the video @ 15:25?

    • @HolyMolyOutdoors
      @HolyMolyOutdoors  5 місяців тому +1

      All the above! This can be frozen or live or even anchovies too. I’m in the process of a breakdown video on floating bait off the beach for a deep dive

      You want to cure the hearing first otherwise it'll fall apart in one cast or on a down rigger troll. Blue cure works great

    People usually yell at me if I throw a bobber at a pier lmao

    • @HolyMolyOutdoors
      @HolyMolyOutdoors  5 місяців тому +4

      Lol well not in the middle of the jigging pack. Float and bait can be a great clean up on the pier ends or off the jetty corners. Look for the schools to be 5-20’ under the surface and hold on

    Another amazing video! Such great fishing information! Going to Def try the bobber at edmonds! Skunked out twice with just the herring jigs :(

    Which pier is this?
    Tried all the rivers here with no luck so far, but your video makes piers look promising - thanks for the post!

    I was always tempted to try a spinner on the pier just to see what would happen, now I have to try that out.

      It can be a sleeper sometimes and especially behind others or in the shallower waters you can get schools that will run behind the other people

    Great video! Lots of good options. How do you use the scent on them?

    • @HolyMolyOutdoors
      @HolyMolyOutdoors  5 місяців тому +1

      I honestly put a small dab on my finger and get a little on the bottom section or dip a small bit of the hook bend. A little goes a long way

    Great video I love the deep dive videos!I do have a question though I haven’t been able to find banana weights so will normal in line sinkers like Beau mac work fine? Im guessing the banana weight adds more flutter?

    • @HolyMolyOutdoors
      @HolyMolyOutdoors  5 місяців тому

      I don’t notice too much difference between them but the banana sinker does allow for more of a keel ride in the water

    Most coho just let them tire out and lift them out of water no net needed, didn't even fight, and I thought it was a shaker or seaweed...
