After a very long but happy day, I get to sit with my hand sewing and watch you work. I hope you have a fabulous week ahead! Thank you for sharing this video as well as your time and talent.
Brenda, enjoy your hand sewing! What a relaxing activity.
Great things to consider when looking for a mat!
Thank you! There are so many variables that it's good to get the basics down when looking for a new one.
This was very helpful and clear. I love that you included eco-friendly as a factor to consider when choosing. Thanks, and I'll look forward to watching more of your content soon.
K, thank you! Yes - ecofriendly is so important. I truly enjoy finding and supporting innovative companies that prioritize the caring for our planet. Let me know if you have any that you've found, as I'd love to check them out.
Perfect timing, I’m looking for a new mat.
Perfect for sure! I'm interested to hear which mat you end up purchasing.
Great easy to watch video. I have been looking for a really good cutting mat. Thank you for explaining all about what to look out for especially the non-slip side of them. Love the purple cutting mat you have so will now buy one, thank you for such useful information.
Gareth, I love the purple color of this mat! ...and yes, having a mat that isn't going to constantly slide around on you is HUGE. Happy sewing - and cutting (ha!) - to you.
how about big mat rotary cutting surface?
Hi there! It totally varies based on your needs. I have one that is 36" in length, which is a great fit for the cabinet I have it sitting atop. Hope this helps!
good white and black.how many
Hi there! Your comment cut off...how many black and white what?
ahh your cutting mat sounds like such a good one but amazon france doesn't have it and also it's in inches not cm :( i would have purchased immediately otherwise I've been lost in a sea of mats for months there are too many options hard to know what's worth the money! about the size I'm wondering if 24 inches by 36 inches like you have is big enough for everything or do you find yourself wishing you had a bigger ones for certain types of project ? I'm thinking about pants and long dresses for example
That's such a good point about needing one in CM and not IN - hopefully you can find one out there! As for the size, yes, the 24"x36" is plenty big for me.
@@FaithandFabric I bought the ansio size A0 in purple and pink (yours inspired me it's so pretty) with one side in inches and one in centimeters after digging seemed like a trustworthy one still have yet to test it out though!
@@LS-vq2or Woohoo! I'm so glad you were able to find it with centimeters!
@@FaithandFabric I am undecided regarding which size mat will be most suitable. I will be regularly cutting muslin fabric to a rectangular width and length of 36inch x 26inch and wondered if it would be advisable to get the A0 size mat, or if the A1 would suffice? Your advice would be greatly appreciated🙏
@@sassberry I always recommend to go to the largest size that you have room for. If you can fit the A0, I would recommend that as it will give you more space to cut, piece, and work on. Good luck and let me know what you end up selecting!
