Thankyou so much bro! This just saved the day, I tried an 18v ridgid first but it wasnt enough. the 20v max worked for me too, I guess that 2 volts makes a big difference

Will using more than one drill battery in sequence help the process or not?

@@Death2Weebs no.. you will increase the voltage. If you do them in parallel. It will be ok. If the batteries are both fully charged.. don't use batteries where they are a different state of charge

Some recent car computers even record this event od exceeded voltage and shows up when using a diagnostic tool. There are jumpstarter batteries available at auto stores for like $50 and they usually come with enough charge to start the car.

Dont listen to the idiots here that say stuff will ruin. Ive done this several times on several vehicles with several different types of batteries over the years. Never had an issue. Just dont crank and crank with it on there cuz the amps will prob kill the drill battery. One crank for a second to start and thats it. Also use pennies in the terminals on battery and hook jumper cables to it. Not some thin wire that will melt. And yes its best to let sit for a few minutes to charge the main battery. Dont just try starting right off the bat. Then youll put that ebtire load onto the drill battery. Common sense is your friend when doing things that may seem unusual. Lol

I WORK ON LIVE HIGH VOLTAGE 132KV . THEIR NOT IDIOTS. VOLTAGE ALWAYS WISHES TO EQUALIZE HOWEVER DIFFERENCE IN AMPS WILL DEFINITELY SHORTEN TOOL BATTERY LIFE. ALTHOUGH MOST WONT NOTICE. THEY AREN'T IDIOTS BUT A BIT TO ANAL

I got it all hooked up here but im not gonna tell you what wires or connecters i used because its a big secret even tho the correct wiring was probably the only thing keeping me from frying my cars computer system. But im not gonna tell you what wiring i used im gonna leave the most important information out. And let you figure it out for yourself but if u dont use the same wiring that i used you'll probably fuck your car up. But make sure u hit the like button even tho im not gonna tell you what wiring i used or even what connecters i used for that matter lol

Stick two snap off blades in the dewalt battery terminals, then connect those to your car battery with regular jumper cables lol, that's how I'd do it.

Ridiculous. Car batteries operate at around 13.5 volts. You lucked out you didn't destroy your car computers. I can only speculate that somehow you lucked out trying just the right wire that had just the right resistance to drop the difference in voltage across it.
DO NOT DO THIS S LITTLE :KNOWLEDGE IS A VERY FSNGEROUS THING.DONT SAY YOU HAVENT BEEN WARNED
