A flavor win on niv-mizzet reborn, since ravnica will rotate out of standard/brawl, would be really cool. The deck could have every guild champion and guild leader.

I love Niv reborn. He plays commander to two of my commander decks, one a planeswalker deck the other a deck focused on 2 colored cards. So much fun being the living guildpact
So.... a six hour Flavor Win?! Yeah, I'd watch it. And probably more than once...
Adam Henke yea, but it wouldn’t be a random niv mizzet control deck that takes a ton of time to win, but a deck with all the stuff of each guild, like the guildgates, the guild leaders (legendary mythic cards of the color pair), the guild champions (legendary rares cards if the color pair) the guildmages for each guild, and some color fixing and ramp.

Just in case you weren't hitting yourself enough, you could've also used doublecast on pyrohelix to get more than enough damage once you factor in spitfire's ability

Something I kinda thought you would talk about would be her connection to Jaya and how she was Mother Luti of kerald keep and Chandra never realized that Mother Luti and Jaya were the same person till they met on dominaria.
I meant to bring that up during the gameplay but I got a little distracted with how crazy things went lol

All of Chandra's charecter degredation in "War of the Spark, Forsaken" could be fixed with a very simple line the next time we see her in the story. "hey Nissa, I didnt know how to express my feelings so I panicked and just started winging it."

Nissa stared at Chandra with an unmoving gaze. Then she slowly walked towards Chandra, and slapped her with the force of a thousands planes colliding into one single, immortal moment. Chandra slammed into the next building, killing an eternal that was forgotten about in the great battle. She stood up shakily, sighed, and respond "Yeah I deserved that", before she planeswalked away

These flavour win videos inspired me to go after flavour win games myself in standard. Like having a hydra themed deck (which works surprisingly good with XG stuff from early game on), or enchantment creatures only aka Theros themed (since I play in German I do not really know the English terms for sure). Who we get to learn more about next? Ashiok? Or the even less known like Mu Yanling? Keep up the good work!
Garruk will be the last Flavor Win for this season but if the episodes are popular enough I might do a few more before Zendikar Rising.

Kinda sad that they didn't pick a different mono-red planeswalker, because Chandra was just in core 2020, and got a ton of new cards in that set, so my idea is that they should have put Koth in this set, he hasn't been seen since new phyrexia, and that was about 7 years ago, so maybe that would have been a good idea

How powerful could the end of the Forsaken novel been if after the war, with all the death and destruction they all endured, Gideon's sacrifice fresh on their conscious, their own mortality is something they're all considering. In those moments, considering that any day may be her last Chandra impulsively confesses to Nissa, they share a romantic moment together, and disappear from the story until we return to Zendikar this year to visit them again and payoff the now-blossomed relationship between them.

Sweet to see a Chandra brawl deck. I actually have a Chandra commander deck in paper. It’s been doing surprisingly well it’s not a competitive deck buts it won more games then I expected from the deck and it’s been super fun to play.
I loved the brawl gameplay for the Flavor Win it would probably be very difficult for some planeswalkers tho... Anyway hope you have a nice day and you stay safe

My favorite version of Chandra (I always pronounced her name as ch-anne-dra) is her roaring flame version. It's the first version of her I got to see in a magazine, that was my introduction to her.

The plays starting at roughly 31:20 have me going crazy. Spitfire math means Ryan still had lethal in hand, with Doublecast into 2x Pyrohelix going face, and to hedge against counters he should have paid that turn’s Tithe. THEN he somehow lands on a DIFFERENT lethal play sequence and MISSES IT? Only to get Nine Lives’d??? The universe was *really* sending a message lmao

Well, that's not the reason they changed It. China doesn't care about what they make for the rest of the world If they can remove it in localization. So If It was because of China WotC could make the change for China only.
They changed It for the western market. Nerd and gamer culture are still obnoxiously conservative and any kind of representation it's met with backlash and outrage for some people (like that guy Who was banned from the MtG community and now does YT videos). Since they are pushing Chandra as kind of a "main charcter" for the game on media, they changed their relationship and kept her white skin so she's more marketable

I honestly more believe that they wanted to portray Chandra being flippant and deeply wounded about the loss of Gideon, just that the book was so badly written it came across as overt characterisation .

I have a Chandra's commander deck. One of my favorites, and surprisingly very competitive when things goes right (like a good mono red deck). Mix of chipping and big burning that can straight kill one or two opponents at the same time. Funny times...
I love these flavor wins. They give story and some gameplay on MTGA which I do enjoy.

Here's bit of a theory on Chandra's appearance: it might be that she's adopted simple I know but it could lead into a reveal that her birth parents may have been planeswalkers at least her mother it could be that for some reason they couldn't stay with her so they left her with Pia and Kiran there's some great story potential there and nicely explain her appearance.

Much like star wars, Nissandra head canon is only canon. I loved that Chandra was getting character development (after years), and then they shot it in the leg. Can recover, but until it's Nissandra I disbelieve.

Just a quick thing... Black haired parents can have a dominant gene and recessive gene and still express the dominant gene. Black hair is a dominant gene and red hair is recessive. If both parents have the recessive gene for red hair, then each child born from them has an ~25% chance to born redhaired and ~75% chance to be born with her parent's black hair. Yes, it is possible to have a red headed child and both parents have black hair.

I also did well in my science classes and can tell you...As long as both parents hold a recessive trait, along with the more dominant trait they both show, it is possible to have a child who would receive both recessive traits.

I’m in China right now, and LGBTQ rights are kind of like, “don’t ask, don’t tell.” They used to be a lot more open (for example back before 2016 when President Xi became President for life.) There have also been a few LGBTQ characters in movies here, but always in the background since then. It’s more of a bargaining chip. So, the China rumour may have some validity, but then again, you have Ral Zarek and Tomik. I hope they reverse this decision. Also, Brazen Borrower is waiting in the wings, hahaha.

I think Chandra could be adopted or her Pyromancy is what caused her hair to be the bright red it's normally depicted as when not on fire.

Would it possible that her spark would change her hair color?
Kiran doesn't have the same skin tone as Pia as seen in Pia and Kiran Nalaar and Lost Legacy (the only two arts depcting Kiran) so the lack of change to Chandra is appropriate. The shadows for the art of the former might make it seem like Kiran has a different skin tone (maybe) than Chandra, but you can just observe the parts of his face and hand most exposed to the light. I'm angry at the change in romantic desires in Chandra because they built it up so much that before War of the Spark: Forsaken it was obvious Chandra had feelings for Nissa, but instead they disrupted the flow of the story for some random reason. Someone in Wotc just ruined a bunch of different writers and developer's work
