Glad you mentioned the physical vulnerabilities such as lack of sleep and feeling sick as triggers, because I’ve noticed that those are triggers for me.
I'm really glad that resonated with you! It’s so important to recognize how much physical factors like lack of sleep or feeling unwell can affect our anxiety. Our bodies and minds are deeply connected, and when we’re physically run down, it can make us more vulnerable to stress and anxiety. Acknowledging those triggers is such a big step in managing them. When you know that lack of sleep or illness heightens your anxiety, it gives you more control to either address those factors directly or give yourself extra compassion when they’re unavoidable. Have you found any specific strategies that help when those triggers come up, like adjusting your routine or practicing self-care. If you want to learn more strategies on addressing anxiety or if you want to explore my video library, you can use my AI: allceus.com/AskDocSnipes. It could be helpful to keep experimenting with what works best for you!
@@DocSnipes yes I typically will rest if I’m tired or feeling sick. I don’t over exert myself if I don’t have to. I will ask someone else to drive or take an Uber if I made plans to meet up with friends at night. My body tends to get sleepy at 10pm lol.

That's an interesting approach! It sounds like your mom is using a strategy similar to what we see in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), where naming emotions can help create some distance and make it easier to manage them. "Pam-ela" is a clever way to remind herself of that separation! I’d be grateful if you were to share what you found most useful from the video. Thank you for showing me that website. It really does help me understand how exactly neurotypical brains are different from an adhd brain in social aspects especially while going through perimenopause when brain fog is a constant issue.
