- Okay, now I have the record FOR REALZIES. Last PB didn't bop the game time record, but now this does. Kind of a bad run tbh, other than the amazing Brain Dead. Looking to improve this more. This is on hard because of the time save on mission 6. Easy adds 5 minutes and normal adds 2:30.
Final in-game time is 58:24. Real time minus the time between missions is 50:27.

10:30 In most C&C games, including RA1, the AI had a special value that determined if all available AIs should team up against human players even if the game was a Free For All and none of them were on an actual team. This value was determined by the remaining AI and human players and differences in bank and either total investment into your units or score (Not sure which but I'm pretty sure at least one of them plays a part) as well as a special weight modifier to the value.
I've always wondered what the cause for that was, thanks for sharing!

They removed it in patch 1.01 or in The First Decade release. Why? I don't know, maybe licenses.
there was a bit of controversy with RA2 because the twin towers featured in one level and the player could destroy them. After 9/11 happened, westwood released a patch that changed the names of all the famous landmarks to avoid complaints about destroying the twin towers and also changed the names of all the famous landmarks and voices that resembled famous people in case something similar happened in the future.
ROMaster2 It was in patch 1.1
EA got nervous about how close the parodies were, so changed the map and added the extra voices. you can copy the old one back without breaking anything though.

@8:50 That's the same scenario in rambo 2 where he gets abandoned by the chopper when he gets the POW.

The problem with Yuri is that none of his base defence works with no power. Both the other guys have no power base defence.
On a side note, I'm pretty sure the prism tanks got OP in Yuri. I can't remember if they were that crazy in regular RA2
It has been +-20 years, all those sleepless nights, destroy everything of the enemy except the barracks n enjoy the mission.

Thanks! All the music I play during this game is by Frank Klepacki, the composer for the series. You should be able to get all his songs from either iTunes or CD Baby. His more rare tracks...you need to dig around for.

They come from out of the map. Mashing Select All gets them faster. They appear by themselves naturally otherwise.
Tanya's death starts their appearance.

Nah, in Yuri's Revenge she's no longer critical to keep alive. Makes things a lot less stressful for Mission 4 too.
You can blow up the Psychic Dominator first before the Nuclear Reactor with Tanya. Blowing up the Nuclear Reactor with Tanya will fail the mission.
Note that you can blow up the Nuclear Reactor with the Grand Cannon (force fire nearby).

Correction: Blowing up the Nuclear Reactor with Tanya first will fail the mission, since she's the only one who can reach the Psychic Dominator (unless the aircraft carriers were part of a bug...)

I targeted the nuclear weapon with the weather machine and beat that mission in just over two minutes.
For me Yuri just repaired the Nuke. -.-

Use the Grand Cannon and smash the ground near the nuclear reactor

I don't think the Cannons can reach far enough to do any damage.
The carriers come out on their own after Tanya died. I spammed Select-All-Units to grab them immediately.
@@ROMaster2 I force fire on the ground near the nuclear reactor. It may not get smacked directly, but I can attack nearby
the problem with all westwood games is this,... when you go to the area with many units and buildings, a computer runs too slow but when you see the area with nothing much in it, pc runs too fast.

in brain dead is it not worth it to first capture both oil pumps for the 1000 bonus (per pump) - even if you need to buy 2 new engis thats 1k in the pocket, and even more if you manage to kill yuris
